Dwayne and I sat on the grass side by side, with me leaning on him. We stared at the horizon and city; it was a beautiful sight to share. I suspected Tristan would not return. After about an hour, I knew my baby brother wasn't coming back.

"How are things at home?" Dwayne finally asked.

"Great, my parents are back, and Olivia is alive and well," I said, and his face became sad.

"I owe that woman big time. Caspian was going to kill my father if it weren't for her bravery," he said, and my heart became sad.

"She paid dearly for freeing uncle Caleb, your father and uncle Kirk. He strung her up with silver and beat her senseless with it. I suspect he also violated her, but she hasn't spoken up about it," I said, and he was shocked.

"She is pregnant," He said, and I figured his father must have told him.

"More reason for the psycho to inflict pain on her. She is currently receiving treatment," I said, and he balled his fist.
