Chapter 4

Next morning,

Anita and Amar woke up early and saw their children sleeping looking so cute. Placing a pillow beside Meera, Anita and Amar left for their morning routine. After some time Anita came into the room to make Adi ready for his school.

She was surprised to see Adi and Meera already awake and Adi playing with Meera who was lying on his tummy. Anita smiled and cooed at them.

"Adi you wake up early, now get up I will make you ready then I also have to see your sister."

"Ready but for what? Are we going somewhere?" Adi asked, confused.

Anita looked at him amused thinking, "he can't be my Adi. My Adi waited for monday because he loves to go to school and today he didn't even remember his school."

Hearing a cute giggle she came back from her musings and said "Adi today is monday you have your school today. Now hurry up."

Adi looked at Meera hearing it and became upset. He doesn't want to leave Meera here so he said making the most innocent face in the world.

"Mom, please I don't want to go to school today. Please Mom."

"Now it's confirmed he is not my son. My Adi is saying no to school. No he is not my son" thought Anita.

"Adi, you have to go school. You can play with your Angel after school also. She will be here only" Anita said.

"No Mom, I'm not going to leave my Angel here. What if she needs something or what if she cries not seeing me around? No! I will not go anywhere leaving my Angel" Adi said with knitted brows.

"Look who is saying what if my Angel needs something. He himself needs his mother all the time for everything. This kid!" Anita whispered.

"Adi, me and your grandma are here for your Angel, don't worry we will take care of her till you come back from school" Anita said to convince him.

"Mom, I have an idea. I will take Angel with me to school then in this way I don't have to leave Angel here. She will be with me" Adi said puffing his chest proud of his brilliant plan.

Anita's jaw dropped listening to Adi's idea. 

"Anita, gave me that blue file I gave you last night" Amar said coming inside the room. Seeing Adi in bed Amar asked "hey champ, you are not ready yet, why?"

"Your son doesn't want to go school leaving his Angel here and wants to take her with him to school," Anita complained.

“For this small thing you are wasting time here. Adi, you want to take Meera with you to school, right?” 

Adi nodded.

“Okay your Angel will come with you to school....”

“But…” Anita interrupted.

Amar blinked his eyes towards Anita assuringly. Anita stopped herself and nodded in understanding.

“But Adi Meera is so small now how will you handle her there? You will be studying there and she can't sit with you all day and there are no beds in school so where will you put Meera if she feels sleepy? You can't carry her in your arms all day, right? Most importantly your Angel will get afraid seeing so many children together and she is scared of loud voices. So tell me how will you take care of her in school all alone?” Amar said and waited for his son to absorb everything.

“I don’t want my Angel to be afraid and uncomfortable there. What should I do then, Dad?” Adi asked, his innocent eyes reflecting his deep care for his Angel.

“I think it will be good if you leave your Angel here. Your mom and grandma will take care of her then after coming back from school you can play with your Angel, what say champ?” Amar proposed.

After thinking for a minute Adi agreed to go to school leaving his Angel at home. Anita sighed in relief and thanked Amar. 

“But take care of my Angel well, Mom. Don’t let her cry and she gets hungry easily so feed her on time” Adi said sternly and ran from there to get ready for school.

Anita gasped and Amar chuckled at his son’s antics.

After getting ready for school Adi came to Meera and kissed her cheeks.

“I’m going to school, Angel. Don’t miss me I’ll be back soon” Adi said and placed a kiss on her small hands.

Afternoon,

Adi came running inside the house and went straight to her mother.

"Mom, where is Angel?"

Anita shakes her head and says, "your Angel is in your grandma’s room. I prepared your favourite…."

Adi left from there without letting her complete.

“This kid!” Anita huffed.

"Adi you came back from school. Why didn't you change your uniform" Radhika asked Adi as he entered the room.

"Angel," Adi cooed and moved towards Meera ignoring Radhika.

Radhika smiled at her grandson and lifted Adi in her arms and put him on the bed beside Meera. Seeing his Angel Adi's face light up and Meera also laughed, throwing her hands towards Adi excitedly.

Adi taking her hand said "aww my Angel missed me. Your Adi also missed you that’s why I came back running to my Angel." 

Meera giggled in response seeing her favourite person after many hours. 

Anita came with Adi's food and said "Adi come have your lunch then play with your Angel and this is your Angel's feeding time also."

Adi, taking the feeding bottle from the tray, started feeding Meera and said "Mom I'm feeding my Angel you feed me."

Anita looked at her son amused then started feeding him. Finishing their lunch, Adi took a nap with his Angel.

In evening,

"Angel you are so cute. I want to play with you all day but now I have to do my homework or else my teacher will punish me. You don't want your Adi to be punished, right Angel?" Adi asked, poking Meera’s chubby cheeks.

Meera made voices and shook her head. 

"Aww my Angel I know you want me to be with you but you also want me to complete my homework, right? Don't worry Angel first I will make you sleep then I will complete my homework. When you wake up we will play then, okay Angel?"

Meera laughed raising her hands towards Adi and Adi starts humming holding her hands. Meera slept in no time then Adi got up after placing pillows on either side of her and started doing his homework.

After finishing his homework Adi went to his Angel side and saw her already awake.

"Hey my Angel was awake then why did she not make any noise to let me know?" asked Adi.

Meera laughed, making noises and patting Adi's cheeks with her hands.

“Oh so my Angel didn't want to disturb me thus she didn't make any noise. My Angel is so sweet. The best,” Adi said and started tickling her.

Meera laughed loudly throwing her little hands and legs.
