*Omario POV*
A day later, Luna Sarah bids us farewell to return to her pack. She and my mother have had very long conversations. Our warriors will accompany her all the way. With the sceptre on her hand and determination to make her pack better, I have no doubt that she will just be fine. The whole nation is fussing about our pup, I don’t know how many times I have seen his name on ships, billboards and television adverts.Having Terrence, Duncan and Loyd around has made my job so much easier. I get to spend a lot of time with my mate and pup, knowing that everything is taken care off.Abi is also thrilled to have mother back. The two of them spend hours giggling, it warms my heart to see them so happy. Two months later, mother and Terrence’s pup is born and my cocky friend is now worse and insists on being addressed as father Alpha. I have accepted it because in reality, he is the ultimate Alpha and I am thrilled that our people have accepted him just like we have.Abi, Mother and Teresa are now on a mission to find Loyd a mate and I think they might have just succeeded. It took time for him to heal but Gwen, Luna Sarah’s daughter and the heiress of the Palmland pack has claimed that that broken heart..Fifteen years later…….*Abi POV*Life has really been bliss, I sometimes can’t believe that it’s all true. Our people are happy, the kingdom is flourishing. We are relaxing in the lounge when Neptune walks in, upset.“What is it, Baby?” Mother Luna asks, lovingly.Alloy runs in right after him, looking cute as usual and guilty as charged. My heart melt at the scene and dramatic Nina is already sobbing. “Our pup is just the cutest.”“That’s right.” Titan beams. It’s one of the few things the two of them agree on.I roll my eyes and focus on the two teenage boys. I really can’t believe how they have grown. They are the best of friends but also clash like siblings.“Alloy took my video game. I want it back,”Neptune cries, but Alloy is right next to him, makings a puppy face at his grandmother.I really feel sorry for Neptune because this is another one of their many arguments he will not win. His mother happens to be the grandmother of his rival.“Alloy is a baby and your nephew. You have to share with him,”mother Luna gives her usual response.“He is older than me!” poor Neptune cries but it’s in vain. His mother is strict on him but a softie with her grandson.“Come here my boy,” Terrence says lovingly. He and mother Luna never left again after the attack by Alpha C and Olivia. I don’t take their presence here for granted.“I want it back, Dad. Make him give it back,” Neptune urges.Terrence laughs. “You know I can’t do that. Alloy is my grandson and gets away with everything.”“What do I get then?” the boy asks, frustrated.I know when he curves his lip mischievously that Terrence is up to no good.“Let me tell you something, Son. You are competing with the wrong person, one you cannot win against. Do you know that your bigger brother is the king and younger brothers always get away with everything?”Neptune immediately gets it. He looks at Omar and shakes his head with a huge grin on his face before running to his mother.“Mother, can I have Omar’s video game?”Omar jumps into his feet and I can’t hold back my laughter. He did not see this one coming.“Yes, Baby, you can have it.”“Mom!” Omar exclaims while Neptune runs out excited.“What? He is a baby and you are… well, you should not be playing that thing anymore.”I burst out in laughter because he really loves that stupid game.He is not impressed with me for laughing. He wraps his arms around my waist and pull me closer to him.“I will make you pay for this.”It’s the desire in his voice that get me all excited right before my nostrils are filled by cinnamon and mint.THE HAZE!“Omar,” I warn when he whisks me off my feet and heads straight to our chambers.I, Abigail, the heiress, luna and queen of the Lily town pack, am the happiest woman alive.*Abi POV*It’s seven o’clock in the evening when I dash out of the castle and run towards the wood as fast as my feet can carry me. Each week I am faster than the week before, but it’s still futile. They are faster with better vision at night than me. They also have much more endurance. There is a limit a human form can take, maybe one day when I get my wolf I will be as fast. They always give me a ten minutes head start but it’s really not much when being chased by wolves. I can hear them howl and growl when I pass the ten kilometres mark. Last week I was caught just after the eight kilometres, I am definitely faster. Ten more kilometres without collapsing, then I can escape this hell. This for me is practise to improve my speed and endurance but it is a game for Alpha Theo and his friends. They get to hunt me down every week and sharpen their skills before presenting me to the prophet who will read my deepest thoughts, no matter how intricate or embarrassing. I get lashes for every
*Abi POV*Susan holds my head and Chloe holds my legs and quietly take me out of Prophet Rufus’ guest room. I try not to wince as they bang me against the walls all the way to Omario’s chambers. Every servant here still secretly treat me like a princess and do their best to help me when no one is looking, except these two. They are the same age as me but they both have been to Blake’s bed. It took them weeks to heal from whatever Blake did to them. I and other servants did all their work until they were ready to come out. They have subsequently been through the rest of Alpha Theo’s friends. I understand their anger but it seems to be directed at me, not the Alpha and his despicable friends. It’s as if they resent me for not having been through the same experience. Omario’s claim has made things worse. Brenda must have noticed this too. It would explain why she’s been specifically choosing them to take me out every Friday. Two weeks ago they were stopped by Terrence from tossing me in
*Omario POV*It’s Friday night again. My father’s freak show is starting. Him and his disgusting okes are about to chase a helpless, wolves-less servant, who apparently, will be the end of him. I can’t freakin’ wait for that moment. It all sounds ridiculous, dad is literally indestructible while she is… just a girl. History has proven a lot of people wrong though. Little boys have destroyed giants and a tiny ant has killed a mighty elephant. I bet the prophecy will come to pass and the servant girl, Abigail of the Lilly town creek pack, will destroy the mighty Alpha Theo. I hear the howling and head to Rufus’ room. The idiots are even celebrating catching up to the girl. They think it’s hunting, like they used to when they were rogues. They don’t get that they are making her stronger and resilient each time. They don’t even see that she outsmarts them too. They really panic when she froths her mouth and shakes her body and think she actually has a convulsion. It’s the same when she h
*Omario POV*It takes a few seconds for me to regain my strength after that electric jolt. Abi’s face is still flushed with embarrassment but her eyes are a raging inferno. She clearly has no idea what she possesses and I plan to keep it that way. I lift her out of the bathtub and carry her to my bed. She is about the lightest woman I have carried to my bed.“The list you can do is feed her” Titan says, as if I am the one starving her. I don’t bother responding to him, my eyes are shamelessly glued to her nakedness again. I should get other maids to dry and dress her, but I can’t help myself. She looks away, clearly uncomfortable with this, maybe I do possess my dad’s disgusting traits after all. Madness is insisting on touching a woman who just sent a current through my body. Who is to say the next one won’t stop my heart permanently? Still, I can’t stop and Titan is behaving very strange. I pick up her clothes from the floor but they wont do. The hand-sewn poor quality material t
*Abi POV*I am initially disoriented when I wake up to find myself on a king size bed with silky sheets in a exquisite bedroom. I blink and rub my eyes a multiple times to make sure that I am not dreaming, then last night’s events come rushing back. I scan the room around for Omario but there’s no sign of him anywhere. I curse when I see the clock and jump out of bed. It is almost 8 o’clock, I overslept. My chores start at 5 o’clock sharp. Brenda is going to punish me severely for this. I rush to the bathroom but freeze halfway there. I am still wearing Omario’s shirt and nothing else. He put it on me but I can’t walk out of here with it. I am pretty sure that equates to stealing from royals and that’s a punishable offence. Several servants have had their arms cut off for something like this. Even though it was a misunderstanding in almost all the cases, no one was interested in the explanation. What do I do? I can’t find my clothes anywhere and I can’t really leave this place naked.
The clock continues to tick, I am expecting the blade to make contact with my skin and cut through my poor arm at any moment now. I can’t help but tremble and be engulfed in self pity. What did I ever do to deserve any of this? I was only six years old when Alpha Theo took over my pack. I have always been an obedient child and made a point to be kind to everyone because my parents would not tolerate anything less. If this is a punishment for a sin I committed, I have no idea what that was. No, this had nothing with me. Some greedy, evil and stupid human decided to have a nuclear weapon plant. I wish I can one day meet that person and ask him or her what the fuck for? I wonder if they are still alive and if they know the real consequences of their actions. There are times when I think that the prophecy is my blessing, not today. Had it not been for it, I would have suffered once, died and buried like every heir of the Lilly town wolf pack. Why didn’t the prophecy chose someone else,
*Omario POV*I am confused and feel out of place while Abi and Titan continue playing like good old friends. My stupid wolf is enjoying her attention so much he completely ignores my questions and keeps blocking me from taking over. It’s only when she is fast asleep that Titan lets me take over and shift back to my human form. “What the fuck was that?”Silence “What? You won’t talk to me now?”“Get her out of here and I will never overrule you again,” Titan links back. “A bribe, that’s the first and low even for you, asshole.”Titan does not continue to engage with me. Two hours later, Abi is long fast asleep but I can’t sleep. So many things worry me about her. She’s so thin, I don’t know how she survives the torture and gets through every Friday night in this state. Then there’s the matter of her beast hating me but liking Titan. I have never cared what anyone thinks of me, I even let my own mother think I am a monster like dad, but being hated by her beast unsettles me. It’s mor
*Omario POV*Abi is pacing next to the window by the time I walk in and kick the door shut. The sound of the door slamming startles her but I don’t care. Everyone else here can judge me, not her. She does not get to make me feel like a monster when I did all this to save her. I walk straight to her and roughly lift her chin forcing her to face me. We stare at each other for a minute before I let her chin go and look away. That fire behind her eyes is triple the last time I saw it. I can feel it’s overwhelming hatred towards me. My chest tightens.“Why do you hate me?”I don’t know why her reasons matter to me but they do. “You are not your father, why would I hate you, Your Majesty?”She sounds genuinely shocked by my question. She’s never hidden her hatred for my dad. Even if she tried, Rufus exposes it every Friday. “I don’t know, but you do. Tell me why?”I insist. She sighs and actually looks at me with concern. “Taking a life causes a strain in one’s soul and mind, Your Majesty.

*Omario POV*Rufus keeps my eyes open. Alpha C’s face is priceless when Dire’s razor sharp teeth sink into his neck. His lifeless body is thrown into the floor like the useless piece of garbage he was. Olivia’s wolf must have deemed the scene too much to witness because she is now in her human form. I don’t feel the least sympathetic as she holds her chest and screams in horror as the disgusting stolen bond fades. “His Highness is slipping away. I can’t hold him back anymore!” It is the first time I hear Rufus so distressed. I guess the prophet really did love me. Dire growls at Olivia, who shrinks and trembles. Shaking his head, he shifts, hurries towards me and kneels in front of me. “Leave his eyes alone,” Terrence commands. “He will surely die!” Rufus cries but Terrence laughs at him. “No, he won’t.” He sounds so certain but I am not so pessimistic. “Unless he is an idiot, then he will,” he adds. I guess the time away has not done much to change his cocky attitude. “Liste
*Omario POV*“We need the pup to keep Omario in check. Cut it out, give it to me and kill her,” Alpha C instructs while I am on my knees begging for them to spare my mate. Him and Olivia have been this back and forth trying to come up with the best way to kill Abi while keeping themselves safe. Olivia shakes her head. “If I do that, then she will shift into that fire monster. You were there when she killed everyone in a flash. She has to die before the pup is born or we are as good as dead.”Alpha C sighs. “You are right. What can I do without you?”Olivia giggles and sticks her tongue down the old man’s throat. It’s a disgusting sight but the least of my worries right now. My mate is groaning with labour pains while her life hangs by a thread. “How about I will kill her and quickly cut out the pup before it dies?” she suggests. I have to agree that is the best strategy for them, but really deadly for Abi. She won’t shift and risk killing our pup, but that hands her right into ene
*Omario POV*I know when Duncan leads me to the secure study that whatever this royal visitor has to say must be really serious and sensitive.“Alpha Omario,”Luna Sarah of the Palmland pack bows respectfully the moment I walk in. “To what do I owe this visit?”She will have to forgive my lack of hospitality. I really don’t have the patience nor the time. My mate is in excruciating pain, I should be by her side. She must have read my mind because she immediately explains herself. “I am sorry to arrive unannounced, but this is urgent. Clement and that seductress you exchanged your father’s horses for are coming to overthrow you.”I can feel her anger when she utters the seductress. My curiosity is already piqued. The Clement she is referring to is famously known as Alpha C of the Palmland pack. He was dad’s friend, that’s why I had suggested he gave him the horses when he wanted them killed. Those are the same horses Terrence bought back a few months back in exchange for Olivia. “Al
*Omario POV*We are preparing to visit the families of the dead elders when Rufus arrives. I can tell from his expression that it’s not good news. Taking a stroll in the garden to get away from eavesdroppers and my mate, he quietly follows. I stop right in the middle. “Speak.”“The vision is now clear, Your Highness.”I already guessed that it was about that. “Proceed.”“It is not good news, My Lord.”“I have gathered that much. I need to know.”“Very soon, you will be faced with a difficult choice. The kingdom for your mate and heir.”My heart sinks, Abi might not approve but it’s a clear choice for me. He reads through me and proceeds. “It’s not that easy and clear, Your Highness. You will also have to choose between your heir and your mate.”“No!”“I am sorry, Your Highness.”“I can not make that choice, ever.” I am saying this more to myself than to Rufus. He sighs and looks away from me. A cold chill goes down my spine. This can’t be good.“What?”I still need to know as mu
*Omario POV*It’s been just over eight months since Terrence and Mom left. They do call from time to time, they even send photos of them all over the world, but it’s not the same. We really miss them. Teresa and her mate Duncan, have really proved themselves as worthy Betas. Besides the elders who don’t seem to agree with any of our decisions, our people are happy and our kingdom is really thriving. “Good morning, Omar,” my puffy, almost hundred kilograms mate says with a yawn the moment she opens her eyes. She stretches her arms and tries to get off the bed. I catch her just on time, bringing her back to the bed. I really believed that pregnant women got tired a lot, until I met her. She is heavily pregnant with swollen feet but I swear she has more energy than most people. “Morning Beautiful. Where do you think you are going?”She looks at me with the same cute disapproving expression. “For the hundredth time, Omar, I am pregnant, not sick. The doctors told you that.”I can’t h
*Omario POV*Mother, Abi and I are standing outside when Terrence pulls up. I instinctively hold my mate’s hand. She and I are gonna have to really trust and have each other’s back. We spoke the whole night about it, it’s now time to put it into practice. Terrence gets out of the car and I immediately sense something strange and powerful about him. I can feel his majestic wolf demanding submission from mine. This can’t be good. Abi narrows her eyes before turning to me. “Something is different about him.”I nod my head. “I feel him too.”“It’s happening, isn’t it?”“I don’t know, Babe, but we will find out soon enough.”“Your Highnesses,” Terrence bows with a huge grin on his face before hugging Abi longer than he usually does. “Watch it,” I warn and feel Titan growl inside. Terrence laughs, letting go of Abi and embracing me very tight. “What’s wrong with you?” Terrence is acting very strange even for him. He is already squeezing my mother by the time I recollect myself and rea
*Abi POV*An hour after everyone has left, Omario is still hoovering over my tummy, whispering sweet nothings to his foetus. I still can’t get myself to maintain eye contact with him when he lifts up his head. I don’t even see him shift into Titan until I feel the soft fur against my skin. My heart suddenly dances and my soul is at peace when my big fluffy smile-keeper jumps to my arms and licks my face. I can’t stop giggling as I run my hands through his soft fur. I don’t think I have been this happy since he and Omario left. He slightly backs away and looks at me as if trying to recall something. His eyes are suddenly filled with sadness. “T?” his sudden change terrifies me. Nothing and no one else gets to him, except me. He only looks like this when I did something hurtful. “You tried to reject us,” he reminds me. I close my eyes, wishing I could take back that day. “I was angry and stupid. I’m so sorry.” I don’t even know how to explain myself. I have to learn to deal with
*Abi POV*It’s been a week since Omario left with Olivia, yet I am still raging inside. None of this would have happened had he listened to me the first time. Another bout of nausea hits me, sending me flying to the toilet. I hardly sleep these days. If I am not cursing my mate, I am throwing up everything. I am just glad that seems to be early morning and evenings when I am alone. The last thing I need is everyone fussing over me. As is, Mother Luna Nala is fussing enough. She is even insisting on cooking all my food. I appreciate all her support and the love she is showering me with.Unlike Terrence, who openly tells me that I am overreacting, she has never even once blamed me for anything. “You know what this means, right?” Nina links. I ignore her, gag and throw up some more. “Abi,” Nina calls me, impatiently. “Yes, Nina, I know,” I snap. “He gets to walk and be with his childhood love while I…”“He would be here if we didn’t threaten to kill Olivia and her pup,” my stupid w
