Chapter twelve

It’s been days after the incident with Asher at the bakery and I’ve tried my very best to let go of everything.

The insults and pain tried to make it harder to let go but I focused my mind on what’s more important, and that’s my life here, my best friend and the safety of my son.

That’s all there should be as I prepare to start business for the day. I rarely had customers as most of them only come in for coffee. I only get busy when it’s a little lycan’s birthday and I’ll have to bake cakes and all the fun things that they love.

I haven’t spoken or seen Tristan since his meeting with Asher on my turf and he hasn’t come in using the excuse of coffee and doughnuts as he always does when I don’t show up and wants to see me. He’s definitely been talking to Rose, her eyes gave her away that she’s keeping something.

It’s either he had her promise to not tell me or she feels it’s better I don’t worry about it.
