~Hazel~ It’s been days after the incident with Asher at the bakery and I’ve tried my very best to let go of everything. The insults and pain tried to make it harder to let go but I focused my mind on what’s more important, and that’s my life here, my best friend and the safety of my son. That’s all there should be as I prepare to start business for the day. I rarely had customers as most of them only come in for coffee. I only get busy when it’s a little lycan’s birthday and I’ll have to bake cakes and all the fun things that they love. I haven’t spoken or seen Tristan since his meeting with Asher on my turf and he hasn’t come in using the excuse of coffee and doughnuts as he always does when I don’t show up and wants to see me. He’s definitely been talking to Rose, her eyes gave her away that she’s keeping something. It’s either he had her promise to not tell me or she feels it’s better I don’t worry about it. ‘What really will it take to completely move on?’ I thoug
~Hazel~ “What’s going on?” I asked, stopping Jason who was walking in a hurry. It wasn’t any news that Jason assisted Tristan in almost all the matters concerning their kingdom. Everyone seemed so busy as they tried to put one and two together, making everywhere stand out. “The blood moon pack will be coming very soon.” He said quickly before moving past me. “Wait, what do you mean coming over?!” I asked expecting no answer in return as Jason was already out of sight. Everyone knew Jason was a man of few words and rarely spoke unless when necessary. He always looked lethal and fierce unlike Marcus who walked around with a smile. I calmed my nerves down as I’ve gotten used to being around lycans with their huge physique always towering over me. I must have heard wrongly, I reasoned within myself. Why would they be coming here? The wolves and lycans never really conversed or got together at any time but recently they’ve been trying to build some sort of relationshi
~Hazel~ With Marcus all over the place and towering over me with every change he got, I couldn’t be any faster but thank the goddess I was able to finish in time before Tristan came back in. “I’m so sorry to disturb you on such short notice” he pleaded as he stepped into the kitchen. “It’s fine. I couldn’t have denied you.” I uttered, forcing a smile before letting it freely have its way when I realised how the blood moon alpha would be elated after having deserts. With a huge smile on my face, I let it stay knowing fully well that it was worth it if my plans worked out well. “They look so colourful and yummy, if I could just pop one inside my mouth.” He added looking over the doughnuts arranged like a fountain on each palette. “Too bad you can’t eat them” Marcus mocked with a smirk. Ignoring him after a once over, Tristan faces me now “it’s late Hazel, and I already called Rose to watch over Jaden for the night.” He murmured, putting his hands behind his hea
~Hazel~ With everyone’s eyes glued on me, I pretend they aren’t staring and pick up my spoon and start eating. You look very pretty in that dress, Hazel. Now I know why he sent a dozen pictures to pick from.” He moved closer whispering to me with a smile and I pushed him away slightly. Marcus was sitting just after me then two more of Tristan’s enforcers before Asher’s men. “Don’t disturb her Marcus!” Tristan warned, raising his head a little to look me up as he did nothing to correct his brother. We all ate in dead silence as I could feel him glaring at me, I refused to look anywhere else pretending like he’s not there. I only stop to look up when Marcus has something whispered in my ear or Tristan asking me if I needed anything or how the food tasted. “The food wasn’t so bad” his voice resounded as he ordered our faces up to him. I could feel his aura filling up the room, it’s either he’s just being an alpha or he’s pissed. “Did your queen make it?” He asked
“Stop! You are hurting me” I cried out wincing in pain as his hands on my neck tightened. “What did you plan on doing to me? You think I wouldn’t smell it?” He asked in a fit of rage as he pressed his body against me, with his head just above mine as he stared into my eyes with fury. “What do you mean?” I asked, as his hands tightened around my neck making me scared as my face turned blue as I kept on dragging his hands until he finally released them a little. “You know exactly what I mean” he growled, still holding me in place as he used his other free hand to push at my waist, leaving his firm and huge hands there causing me to shiver a little. “Get off me!” I spitted sourly. Was he angry or what? Why are his hands all over me? “You think I wouldn’t smell it? Of course I know with you here that I’ll have to watch my back to be safe” he retorted with an all knowing snort. “I didn’t do anything so leave me alone!” I protested trying to free myself from his grip
~Hazel~ After he stormed out, I waited for a while trying to process everything. I couldn’t bring myself to tell Tristan anything, I just want to pretend like Asher never happened and I hope it remains like that. I definitely don’t want him showing up here. Maybe if I can talk to Tristan about whatever deal they have together and why he shouldn’t proceed, then maybe it’ll be cut off. Thinking of a story to come up with wouldn’t really be hard as wolves and lycans never interacted before. I didn’t even have an idea of their existence four years ago, so it shouldn’t be that hard right? Finally walking out of the bathroom and the dark tiny corridor which terrified the hell out of me. “So That monster threatened me! If he thinks I’m going to cower in my tears then he’s taught wrongly” I thought within myself as I walked back to the living room planning just how to get back to Asher. I shouldn’t be bothered, it’s not like I care about being queen anyways but I need to prot
~Asher~ Immediately we stepped foot on their turf and alighted from the car, I could smell her wolf. I know she was in his kingdom but I didn’t expect her to be allowed into their head house. Seeing her last at the bakery I suspected she stayed close by, looking from what she had on and how the whole shop was drained and danced around with her wolf scent. No one ever stops an alpha from doing what he wants but Tristan, understanding that fact, still pulled what he did trying to protect a wolf in his pack. A wolf he was in love with. I could see the longing in his eyes every time he spoke to her or when she’s close. He wants her but too bad she’s not up for giving. I’m still her alpha no matter what she says, she did the rejecting not me and I’ll consider it not valid. She’s the reason I’m back, the proposal looked too good to be true and I always followed my instincts. My instincts were telling me to turn back and not sign the deal but I need to see her. I know she’
~Asher~ It’s been over a week now since we signed the deal and we were supposed to meet on neutral grounds to discuss the proposal. One of the reasons I’m greatly feared and respected is how everyone In my pack is secured. I run a 24/7 sure security and outsiders aren’t allowed into the pack. I’ll be meeting Tristan a few stops outside my pack borders as he isn't allowed in yet. On getting there, I walked towards the small shed where we agreed to meet. “Asher '' he called out as he stood with his right hand man. It was supposed to be a closed meeting with just us but there was no way you could go anywhere without your second in command as we both know we don’t fully trust each other. “Tristan” I replied with a nod as I walked towards where they were standing with Ross. “Are you sure about this?” Ross whispered to me, maintaining his stance as he kept his eyes on both Tristan and Jason. I know just how much he distrusts them, I do too but I believe he has an idea why
