Chapter forty

I’m sure everyone had a good night's rest as the rest of the day went by quickly. I sat up almost all night thinking of what I had to tell Jaden and how I was going to make sure that he was always safe.

I can’t recall exactly when I fell asleep but was happy I did after a load of thinking and worrying.

“You had a good night rest?” Rose asks, catching me by surprise.

I stood still, rubbing my eyes still in my nighties.

“What’s going on?” I asked while still rubbing my eyes to drive away any form of sleep in it.

“You surprised?” She chuckled as I was baffled with amusement. I pinch myself a little wanting to wake up from my dream.

“You don’t think I should? When did we switch roles?” It was pretty weird and odd for me to be the one standing here trying to rub sleep away from my eyes while Rose busied herself in the kitchen. Well I hope she wasn’t going to poison us with whatever concussion she was making up.
