~Hazel~ (The next day) It was another day to be in the woods, Tristan and I still hung freely around the head house before going out to meet Asher and his men. I could see the same look of curiosity in his eyes when he asked me yesterday what happened when he left with Ross for a few minutes. It was already a settled topic for me so I waved it off, and his eyes lowered a little when I told him that Asher was just being an Alpha and wanted to ask some questions that I didn’t have answers to. It wasn’t necessarily a lie, I know Asher Is doing all these to get under my skin and not for any tangible reason . He might have zero idea on how it’s affecting me and even if he knows, he wouldn’t care about it and will do everything to make sure I was very much uncomfortable. He nodded his head slightly accepting what I had just told him even when his face and body clearly didn’t accept it. He stood firm as his body went rigid from the outside. I could see the re
~Hazel~I was a little nervous when we got a little closer to them, as I could hear them work with different tools in place. I don’t know how long it’s going to take them but I know it’s going to take a lot of time as Asher kept on rambling about being careful with the trees. It would have been a lot faster if the lycans could just fall these trees down without putting in any effort. I mean any wolf could easily do it, even I. I just don’t understand the stress we will have to go in bringing down a tree that isn’t so great in size. We finally got to the heart of the silver oak , or would I rather say the heart of all my problems. Their tall figures came into sight as almost everyone was facing a tree probably feeling it up like they were asked to yesterday. I tense up a bit as Tristan walked away from my side and headed towards Ross who was also feeling up a tree. I guess that would be his best shot if he could come up with anything. Asher wouldn’t say anything
~Hazel~ ‘What did you talk about with him?’ I could tell those were the words he wished to mutter as his eyes were fixed on me. His eyes slowly move over my head before coming to rest on mine again. “Hey, are you guys busy?” With the way he looked at me I didn’t have anything to say aside stating the obvious. “No not really” Ross answered almost immediately as he indicated with his hands that there wasn’t much to do here. He had that same look he had earlier when Ross came over this morning. It was either he was offended by Ross or Ross did something. The only thing new would be Ross talking to me and I really don’t mind. Or maybe he’s acting the part too? Alpha’s are usually very possessive of their Luna and since we are acting the part where they all have to view us as a couple, I guess it’s normal. “Can we talk for a second?” He held my hands in his big ones and led me somewhere within sight but out of anyone’s hearing. “Are you fine? Did he do
~Asher~ She really had a thing of driving me right over the edge every single time. The hell I’ll use every single lycan in this kingdom to threaten her if that would bring her to do my bidding. I was bent on doing it again as I saw the look of horror and fear at the mention of burning down her bakery. I could threaten her to force her into doing exactly what I wanted. I saved myself the drama of watching Tristan eat up Hazel right in front of me. I could lose it and do something that wouldn’t be approved of. I could start a bloody war because of her but I know she’ll hate me even more. I had a lot to think about since I ticked off. You couldn’t just expect me to be calm as I watched Tristen use his hands to feel all part of her body with that stupid smirk that hung freely on his face waiting for me to do justice to it. I was gladly waiting to see her again so I could threaten her again as that seemed like the new normal between us and the comfortable but fierce
~Asher~ “What do you want to talk about? Any more missing tools?” His gruffed voice came up with the stupid smile still plastered on his face. “Yeah. And a lot of things are where they shouldn't be.” Hazel wasn’t ever supposed to be here with him and his hands should never be anywhere near her. “Cut to the chase Alpha. What exactly do you want to talk about? I can’t keep her waiting for too long.” His face became soft as he moved his eyes directly at her. “You don’t think you should’ve told me about her, I mean here isn’t a place for her.” I muttered with raised eyebrows as I watched him carefully as every action from him could hint to me just anything aside from the fact that he wants her. “Ohh so sorry, i would do a proper introduction when she’s right next to me or maybe at the function.” “I thought you could tell off from when I brought her to the treaty after that ugly incident” he muttered through clenched teeth clearly still enraged by Claire. I wouldn’t
~Hazel~ It was another stressful day feeling up trees and still no memory on what I needed. I had to ignore Asher all through for now, I needed to get myself checked, I should never respond to him with fear. He was a complete stranger and his actions or physical contact shouldn’t mean anything to me I need to speak with Rose, I’m never allowing history to repeat itself ever again. I won’t rot in fear. . With the light of things that has been taking place this week there was a slight chance of Tristan getting this information before I did. He’s been accompanied by Ross a lot and they always looked busy, always engaged in conversations at every turn I made looking their way. As much as I would still love to do this for Tristan, I’d be happy if he gets any information so I don’t get to talk with Asher anymore. I could still remember the way his eyes bore into me, searching way deep. I needed to overcome this unknown fear was all I could think of. I would have star
~Hazel~ “What do I really have to do to make you drop this. You are making it seem like you were paid to convince me. Or are you?” I looked at her with suspicious eyes as I let my eyes do the questioning. “Really? I was just a lot concerned about you and now you're pointing fingers at me?” Our eyes met and hers fell a bit obviously taken aback by my statement. “I Used words didn’t point fingers..” I whispered under my breath inaudibly. Maybe this was the only way to get her to stop showcasing her match making skills. Well you couldn’t blame me for thinking such. I honestly knew she meant only good for me and if we could put Tristan aside for a bit then maybe we could really have a conversation and not have suspicions flying about. “I know what you are doing! You want me to stop talking about it. It’s working, so what do you want to talk about?” She squinted her eyes pointing her fingers at me as she guessed right. I Couldn’t take another of her talks about
~Hazel~ If I really did have a choice, I really didn’t want to go anywhere and just stay in with Jaden and Rose. I can’t wait to go back to my daily routine and enjoy every weekend with my baby. Even if I thought of an excuse right now and called in sick, Rose would be all about the place coming up with reasons why I had to go by all means. And I already spoke with Tristan before and he went on about how I had to come even when I thought of asking him to make an excuse for me. His reasons were valid, we needed to be there together since we were acting to be a couple. I knew apparently well that he personally couldn’t miss it as the lycan king as it was originally for all heads of every pack and kingdoms to socialise amongst themselves. Asides the finding of their mate that Rose talked about yesterday, we all knew it was an avenue for some of them to build alliances with other packs while some came to only show off their beautiful Luna’s or go about boasting about all th
