Was this how it felt with Asher finally out of here?

I stared widely through the window as I sat up on my bed. It felt strange that all I had to do from now on was to get up, get Jaden ready for school and probably go open the bakery.

I was back to my normal routine and it felt strange.

“Hey good morning!” She barged in without knocking again and greeted cheerfully.

Well isn’t this too much vibrancy for someone with a headache.

“Good morning. I thought you had headaches?” I questioned with one eye up at her, monitoring every of her movements.

“That was yesterday, it’s a new day and I’m better now.” A grin sat playfully on her face as she looked up at me with clear eyes.

“What’s with you and breaking the rules you make?” I let her follow my eyes and see them gazing at the door and then back at her.

Doesn’t take much time and energy to knock before entering or she could easily just call on to me before entering.
