~Lily~ The training kicked off almost immediately as the space was now filled with lots of vibrant werewolves, ranging from 18 to their early 20’s. Many already found their mates and their mark was sitting pretty on the side of their neck. You definitely can’t blame me as this was all I could do. I got my next orders and I’m not allowed to leave but to sit and watch. I moved my eyes moving from one mark to the other, analysing to notice any difference in any of them. ‘Something is definitely up?’ Raya chipped in. ‘I thought we agreed on leaving this discussion till later?’ Of course something was up. He dragged me back from whom he perceived to be a danger? Of course I knew I wasn’t going to be on his radar if we were talking about people he was going to keep safe. But dragging me back only meant there’s a story there for us. And with the way his eyes twitched and turned to complete black, almost matching the colour of Nova’s hair. ‘I reall
~Jaden~ (a visit to my childhood) “I don’t think your mom should hurt anymore men to come act for you”. My childhood bully's voice rang freely in the room as all eyes zoned in on me with his little minions beside him. I kept quiet and still, refusing to say anything as I’ve heard mummy and aunty Rose speak about the bigger person before. I was bigger so there wasn't a need to respond to Bobby’s stupid remarks or claims. Besides, if I reacted the way I wanted, mama might not be happy. I don’t want her scaring herself, I didn’t want to look into her eyes the way I did at the hospital and read out those fears she tried to hide behind her eyes. Everything was drained from her, she resembled the same person I watched her everyday survive from. This fear in her eyes wasn't new, they matched those of the time when she cried herself everyday to sleep. Crying in her bathroom as her little crying voice could be heard audibly in every room. I wasn’t going to tell her that it
~Jaden~ I couldn’t take it anymore and found my way out of there as I went upstairs, leaving the duty of distributing them to different wings to Kade. Only the direct heirs and next in line to the other pack alpha were allowed to stay right here in the pack. I could feel the urgent need to direct and train these people so I wasn’t going to allow whatever it was with so called Nova to distract me. I need to start coming up with better and quicker plans as to how they are going to advance in their training. I know I was pissed and left in the middle of it all but Kade gave me reports on every one of them and according to what I planned to achieve, they were way behind and lacked skill. The only thing that could be seen and said positively about today’s training was their will, and that’s enough for me to build on. “Alpha?…” Kade’s voice was a little unsure as he heard him break up a little thinking it through. “Haven’t gotten my title yet”. Like a thousand ti
~Lily~ My alarm woke me up and I’m up even before the first light struck through the window. Yesterday was a lot of fun even when I thought it was weird to have a full table and now a full house. It only got a lot better when the only boring personality left the table, leaving us to dwell in a lot, having a free taste of everything as all their eyes went ahead to watch me when I tried his special dish. I beat his voice. I especially woke up on time so I wouldn’t have to hear him wake me up from my sleep. Not really my thing to hear his voice first. I stood in front of the mirror, happy I wasn’t subjected to hearing that audacious voice that always tried to get under my skin, likely ruining my whole day. I got ready in a few minutes, finding my way downstairs. shouldn't be much of a punishment if I find it a little fun. “Erm mm” I cleared my throat through the mindlink, trying to get his attention as I stood in front of an empty space. I did it aga
~Lily~ Whatever happened earlier is long forgotten as I watched them train among themselves. Their hands beating through the wind, with some eventually kissing their fist in some people’s faces. I was enjoying the show when I sensed someone walking up beside me. “Hi I’m Molly and you are Lily” she said herself without waiting for my response as her voice came out chirpy and full of smiles. She sounded agile and was definitely not from our pack as I tried to hide my stare at her. With my mind rolling on possibilities why she was here, standing and talking to me, I remained my still. “Hey” I muttered lazily as she was now completely in front of me, blocking my view and there was no way I could see those training clearly except I stood up. “I just have some questions, can I ask them?” She sounded like she was going to ask anyway, so I let her have her way, holding back my tongue in place. I nodded my head for her, as I still tried to get a glimpse of w
~Lily ~ The day was a lot shorter and faster since all I had to look out for during the day was just the training sessions which was a lot interesting today. I got home like yesterday and the dining table was packed with different varieties of food and the only person seated was Nova. After his questions about my age, he didn’t say anything more even when I tried to ask why he asked. “Got here earlier to save you a seat” his voice rang out through the whole house, the same time Jaden and Kade walked in. It was like a pause went through my body as their eyes met each other, looking like they were exchanging words no one should hear. With Kade’s little smile only directed at me, which was freaking saying a lot like ‘Tread carefully Lily’. Well it didn’t feel heavy again like it was feeling right now when I removed my gaze from then and looked back and gave a reply to the sitted Nova. “Thanks a lot.” I pretty would have a lot to say if Jaden just wasn’t p
~Jaden~ “Urmm I think you need to know about this” his voice penetrated, disturbing my little nap. “What’s it this time? It better be worth my time.” I let the annoyance roll down my back, adding volume to my pissed off state. “It’s Lily.” His voice was not tense, just a bit low. Definitely not worth my time With the Image of her ignoring my presence and turning to look at Bobby flashing through my face, the same thing she did when I warned her with my eyes not to turn back. “Definitely not worth my time, Kade. Why do you think I should be bothered about her?” I let my pissed off state resound clearly like drums rolling before moving to end the mindlink. “I just thought you might want to know that she’s outside with Nova right now.” His voice breaks off in a hurry, rushing every word before I cut it off. It took me a second to rethink what he just said. With how that tiny piece of information kept me warring whithin myself as my wolf went on full alert.
~Lily~ I still got up early, ready to be a part of the training. I don’t know what got to me but I know I made the right choice by choosing to train. And besides Nova is not running away, I’ll have my chance to ask him some other time. I wasn’t sure I even wanted to know when I finally stood at the point of finding out the truth. I simply jumped on the offer, using Jaden as an excuse for myself as I bade Nova good night. I avoid the faces looking directly at me, doing nothing much to hide it. While some didn’t care and went about their normal business, stretching out for the day. It was new and standing among them made me feel a lot better. ‘We finally get to train Raya!’ I could feel the excitement run through my veins. “Hey Lily! Was even meaning to ask you today why you didn’t join in yesterday training session.” Her voice came up from my side as her face came into view. How did I not take notice of her height yesterday? She was taller than most she wolve
