Cedric's wine glass shattered against the wall with a loud crash, its contents spilling like sorrowful red tears.

Rising tensely from the couch, he stormed out of the room, his aura dark and foreboding.

"Evander, what's going on? Sophie was pregnant and had an abortion?" Sean quickly pieced things together, wondering if Sophie had gone to the hospital to terminate the pregnancy.

Evander sighed, his eyes filled with worry. He had never seen Cedric this angry.

'Well, Sophie will have to fend for herself now,' he thought.

Back in the apartment, Jeanna tucked Sophie into bed, offering comfort. "I've ordered some nourishing soup for you. The doctor said your wound should heal in three days."

Despite the pain from her post-surgery wound, Sophie managed a forced smile for Jeanna and then closed her eyes to rest. "I'll take a nap first."

"Okay, I'll wake you when the soup arrives."
