Chapter 68 (My Little Spitfire)

Valeria POV

The loud sound of a pup crying rang out in the hospital ward, and I fell to the bed, weak. I looked at the nurses as they carried my pup, wrapping him up with a white blanket.

“It’s a boy, Luna,” they said, their eyes shining with nothing but happiness.

“Bring him,” I said, my voice hoarse as I sat up weakly. They brought him to me, putting him in my hands. He immediately stopped crying the moment he was in my arms; he squirmed around in my arms, making sounds that were melting my icy heart.

“Leave,” I said. They bowed their heads, walking away. I looked at the little boy in my arms, and my heart was only beating in happiness I hadn’t felt in months.

“He looks so much like him,” Sofia said. She was right; he looks so much like Damien; I have never seen a pup look so much like their parents as a newborn.
