Chapter 66 (Dead Parents)

Valeria POV

I walked into the empty pack house drenched in blood. Adrain really prepared for us; just when we thought that was all the men, more came in carrying weapons. No one was losing or winning, but we made our way through the border and killed lots of their warriors. Now I am in the pack house with Julius, which is so empty, but I can smell them and also hear them; they are all hiding in their rooms. This pack doesn’t have an emergency bunker? That is very bad.

“Where could he be?” I asked myself as we walked to his study. He wasn’t there, and he was smart enough to drench the entire room in cologne; I can’t get his scent.

“Follow me,” I said, running to the third floor. Coming here gave me good and bad memories—the loneliness I felt and the happiness I felt having my mate close to me. We checked all the rooms, and we couldn’t find Adrain.
