Chapter 27 (Vulnerable)

Valeria POV

“Leave,” he said, command following through his voice. Darcy turned to look at me, and she sighed, not able to resist his command. Sam dragged her out. Damien and I stood in the living room in silence. We just stared at each other, then he walked to me slowly, and when he got to my front, he got on his knees, looking at my leg.

“I’m sorry,” he breathed out shakily. I was surprised he was on his knees; a lot of Alphas don’t like to do that but he is doing it without second thoughts.

“I pushed you too far, I shouldn’t have done that,” he breathed out, looking down at my toes. I looked down at him, not knowing what to do, but I was tired of standing. I bent down a bit, holding his shoulder, and he looked up at me.
