CHAPTER 69 - Leo Was Injured

A few figures suddenly stepped out from the cabin, their eyes narrowing as they observed the woman on the shore.

“Miss Smith?”

“Yes, I’m Amelia. I’ve brought the three million dollars, just as you asked. Now, where are my children?”

Inside the car, Amelia listened in amazement to the voice that was nearly identical to her own. She couldn’t see the woman’s face from this angle, but just hearing her voice, she could tell it was a convincing impersonation.

Seeing her reaction, Leo leaned in and whispered, “Don’t worry. They’re masters of disguise. I sent them your photo beforehand, so they’ve adjusted their appearance to look just like you. People who know you well might notice some differences, but these kidnappers won’t be able to tell.”
