CHAPTER 76 - Acting Like A Child

The smell of fried meat filled the air, mingling with the aroma of eggs. Leo's stomach growled, a reminder of how hungry he was. Wincing, he tried to sit up, but pain shot through his chest wound, forcing him to clutch it.

"James!" he called out.

James, who was assisting Amelia in the kitchen, somehow heard him despite the distance and rushed upstairs. When he saw Leo sitting up, his face turned pale with concern. "Young Master, why are you up?"

“Is she here?” Leo asked, leaning back against the headboard, his face ashen.

James was baffled. He didn’t understand why his master, who normally seemed to clash with Miss Smith at every opportunity, was now so eager to see her after getting hurt.

Reluctantly, he replied, "Yes, she’s here, cooking in the kitchen. Just wait a moment."

Upon hearing this, a faint smile appeared on Leo’s pale face. Not long after, Amelia walked in with a bowl of noodles. Seeing Leo awake, she wasn’t surprised.
