I Will Make You Pay

"I will make you pay!" Lance yelled with wide red eyes.

It was all happening too fast. There were flashes of light and sparks as the witches attacked us with their spells. Elena was around the corner laughing at how Lance tried to shield me.

"You can't if you are dead!"

One of the two witches who were with us screamed.

She stretched out her hand towards Lance and he dropped on his feels, forced to look up at the ceiling as blood began to pour out of his nostrils and ears.

"Lance!" I screamed, noticing that he was in pain and if they continued he was going to die. "No, please stop."

"Let him go, we are not here to kill them," Elena finally said something. "We are only here to show them a whiff of what is coming."

"Hayley!" I jolted up from my bed, awake from the weird nightmare I was having.

Beads of sweat were on my head and neck and my body trembled in fear.

"Look at me, it's alright. It's safe. It was just a dream okay?" Lance who was beside me said, holding my hands in his.
