I feel it, that strange feeling when I know that I would never see the place where I grew up, the playground where I once played when I was a child. I feel a certain nostalgia and sadness. Part of me doesn't want to leave, but another part yells at me that I shouldn't be selfish.
My mother has been offered a very good job in the north of the country, and we have to move. I'm going to a new school, meet new people, leave ... Will —My ex-boyfriend — as soon as I told him the news he got very angry and we broke up. But I think it was for the best.
I put my bags in the car and opened the door. Before leaving I took one last look at my old home. It was a small, white, two-story house. It had a garden full of yellow flowers that Mom had planted during her time there. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and got on.
"Are you ready?" Mom asked, in a whisper.
No, I'm not. This is too much for me. I do not want to go.
"Yes." I lied.
Mom smiled. She was my size. We are tall. We both have long legs and ruby. Sometimes people confused us as sisters. That's because mom is cheerful and funny, and looked younger than her real age. I am the opposite of her.
Mom started the car. We had a long way to go. Today was Wednesday, which meant I would have to go to school tomorrow.
God, I'm so nervous.

"Carolina, remove that face. We are not going to get into the wolf's mouth." Mom tried to raise my spirits, but I felt a chill when she said the word wolf. I am afraid of wolves. And I heard that our new settlement was placed in the middle of the forest. I don't feel great imagining there are wolves around our house.
"Look at this ..." Mom smiled, "...like a new adventure. You will meet new friends, and find maybe a boy."
Boy? I don't want to meet any guys. Until recently I broke up with Will and it still hurts.
I didn't answer. I just looked out the window. Mom was driving down a forest road. The forest was foggy and beautiful. The trees were huge.
"We are arriving," Mom announced, pointing to the sign that has this town's name on it. It says LEWISTON.
I didn't get excited. We had traveled for eight hours and I honestly didn't feel my ass. The houses began to be seen, the people, the bars, the cinema, and shops. And I also saw the school.
"Look, that's your new school." Mom pointed to the huge two-story building in front of us.
There were some guys out there, maybe the ones who stay to bother after they go out because it's getting dark already.
Mom kept driving until she took a road where there were no more houses, just trees.
"Where are we going?" I asked, looking out the window somewhat hurriedly.
"To our house. It's in the forest. I hadn't told you that it was the only property that was available. The old owners moved out a few months ago and it was empty." Mom answered.
Great.
Mom will spend her time working. And I'm going to be in this forest by myself. This made me feel a bit scared. I don't know what kind of animals are in this forest, or even worse, wolf packs. I heard that wolfs liked packing in the wood."This is a very effective way to socialize," I said sarcastically.
Mom denied laughing.
"Look, after all, we're not the only ones who live around here." Mom glanced in the rearview mirror. I turned to see, behind us came three cars. All of them were expensive and black. The windows were dark so I couldn't see through them to see the supposed neighbors, but I could hear the loud music playing.
"Great." I turned my eyes to the front, forming the lips in a single line.
About five minutes later, I heard a noise coming from the engine.
No!
This can not be happening.!
"Don't fail me now ..." Mom murmured, doing her best to keep the poor car moving, but the car still slowly stopped and it couldn't be started no matter how many times mom tried.
"Got damn!" Mom exclaimed, hitting the steering wheel hard.
The cars behind us began to honk in despair.
"I think we have to walk the rest of the way." Mom opened the car door on her side, "It won't be long."
"It's getting dark ..." I murmured. And I didn't want to walk.
"I know, so we better hurry. Help me with the bags, will you?" Mom closed the door and went to the back. Reluctantly I got out of the car and saw the three cars that were still behind us. One of the cars was screaming in despair. It was one of those closed-top vans that are super expensive and pretty.
Even though I couldn't see people inside the cars I could feel their sights on me.
"Carolina, tell those people to stop whistling. They're starting to exasperate me." Mom ordered.
I sighed and turned to those cars. I didn't want to talk to them. Only God knew whether my new neighbors would be friendly or not. But I had to get this piercing car-roaring down. So I still went.
"I'm very sorry ..." I approached that pretty van, and knocked on the window, "Our car died. If you want just pass us. Thank you!"
The driver rolled down the window a bit and I saw a handsome boy around my age sitting in the driver's seat. The boy didn't answer my question. He just looked at me with his charming eyes.
Why did he look at me like this? Was there something wrong with my outfit?
I quickly looked down and checked. There was nothing wrong with my distressed jeans, black jacket, converse, and white T-shirt.
"Hey, you..." The boy opened his sexy lips, but his words were interrupted by the sound of a whistle behind him.
"What?" I was so confused.
As the honking continued, he shook his head, rolled up the window, and drove off.
The first car pulled away quickly, passing by, while the others followed.
What a strange guy!
I went back to our broken car and mom finished packing. Now we had to walk to our new house.
"This wouldn't have happened if that car wasn't rubbish!" I exclaimed, feeling my legs heavy. My outfit made it difficult to walk.
We had been walking for more than an hour. It was dark and the moon had already risen. We didn't meet anyone else along the road. Only the moon illuminated us.
Mom was going ahead, and I was staying a little further behind. The two suitcases were very heavy, and the weather felt freezing. The smoke came out of my mouth when I breathe. I didn't know that this town was this cold, and I only had short loose clothes. The only thing that kept me warm was my jacket. Don't blame me, it was sunny in my old city. The only thing that kept me warm was my jacket.
"We are arriving!" Finally, I heard mom exclaim from up ahead.
The road was full of dirt, and it was difficult to walk. The paved road ended here. I put the suitcases on the floor to get some rest.
"God ..Finally..." I murmured, taking a deep breath.
Unconsciously I looked at the forest. The forest was dark and silent. I had a strong feeling that there was something in the wood calling me. It's a strange feeling. It's like something wants me to get into the forest.
"Carolina, hurry up!" Mom yelled. I came out of my thoughts, grabbing my bags and running a bit until I reached her.
"We arrived!" Mom exclaimed, dropping the suitcases to the ground. It was a large beautiful house, but it wasn't the house that caught my eye.
In front of the house. There was a huge lake. The big round moon was in the sky, lighting up the lake. Its shadow fell on the water, creating a golden reflection.
This looked so ... Beautiful.
I walked to the little dock by the lake, looking at the moon's reflection. I saw my own reflection too, hanging beside the moon.
I closed my eyes for a second, feeling this moment.
"Carolina, help me here!" A moment later, I heard mom yell.
I opened my eyes and something caught my attention. On the other side of the lake, there was a house. I guess the guys in the car live there. We do have neighbors. Before I was going back to help Mom, a howl put me on alert, making my foot shudder, and filling me with fear.
Wolves? Are there wolves here ?!
Fuck me not.
I quickly went back to where mom was. She was taking the last suitcase into the house. "Did you hear that? I asked, feeling a knot in my stomach. Mom frowned. "Hear what? She asked, walking to the front door. I followed mom into the house and quickly closed the door. "A howl ..." I said in fear. My mom turned to me with a frown. Apparently, she didn't hear it. "Howl? I didn't hear anything," she answered. "Something howled, mom," I said seriously, "There are wolves here." "Please, Carolina, I've talked to the former house owner. There are no wolves here, maybe what you heard was a ... Dog." Mom went up the stairs, "Get ready for tomorrow, you have to go to school." Dammit. My intuition told me that there was something wrong with this town, but mom didn't believe me because I've always been a sensitive person. Thinking too much was not good. Tomorrow would be a very long day. I stopped thinking and started to unpack my stuff. The interior decoration of this house is not ba
I had Paige on me, that's what the girl's name is. I could tell by how they yelled her name supporting her. The ruckus made everyone in the cafeteria come to watch the fight. I tugged at Paige's hair tightly causing her to gasp. I made a quick move and now I was the one on top of her. I was not a warlike person. But I seemed to become more irritable after I got to this town. And I can't control myself. "Let go of me...!"Paige screamed, while with her hands pulling my hair. "I'll teach you what is respect!" I gritted my teeth, trying hard to pull her hair too. Suddenly, someone's strong arms wrapped around my waist causing me to let go of Paige. "Let go!"I kicked. But the man wouldn't let me go. He had a hold on me. Then I saw the boy, that boy in the car. He helped Paige, while she cried rubbing her neck. Now I knew that the girl standing next to him in the parking lot is Paige. Was he her boyfriend? Suddenly my heart sank into my stomach. Knowing that the boy is Paige's
I admitted I felt great when Kayler said he was going to take care of me. In other circumstances, I would have been very grateful, but this boy had a girlfriend, the mean girl Paige. The strange thing was, I didn't know him well, and it was the first time we talked to each other. Before this, only our gazes had met but I couldn't keep looking into his eyes for long because his eyes are so deep, so ... attractive. Just one gaze, for one moment, but he made me feel like I had known him for years. I felt like I wanted to believe in him, just like he said ... he would protect me. Kayler's car stopped in front of my house, we were silent for a long time. "Well... bye." I unbuckled my belt and opened the door. Should I thank him for bringing me? In the end, he was the one who forced me into his car. I opened my mouth wanting to say something but he beat me to it. "A 'Thank You' for bringing you home would be a nice way to say bye." Kayler looked at me through the open door. "I was g
I had never thought about death before. The only thing I believed was that I would die old with the person I love. But apparently, it was happening right in front of me. Today was a full moon. The bright moonlight made me able to see what I was looking at. The huge wolf growled with hatred as if it had me. Behind him appeared three more wolves. Despair, fear, and terror invaded me. I'd die, it's obvious and I'd be torn apart by four wolfs. There was no worse way to die than this. "Please don't ..." My breath hitched and I felt like I was losing control of myself. The lead wolf approached with a determined step until it was in front of me. Its eyes are black, very black and I would swear I had seen them before. But where? The three wolves behind were also approaching, growling. Maybe I should look for something to defend myself, a branch, something ... I couldn't make this so easy for them. The wolfs walked, surrounding me. I looked down and started to search. There was a bran
"Mom!" I can't believe mom said yes to Kayler to take me to school. He is the last person I want to be with right now. Mom just shrugged and went to open the door. I stared at her with my arms crossed. The front door opened to reveal a smiling Kayler and, as always, with those airs of greatness. "Kayler, darling, come in." Mom greeted Kayler with a warm smile. Oh, God. Why did she use "darling"?! "Good morning, Ma'am." Kayler smiled. He was wearing black jeans, a T-shirt that clung to his body very well, and a black leather jacket. His hair was, as always, disheveled, making him look sexier than usual. "I'm not going to school with him," I complained, but cannot take my eyes off Kayler. He just kept looking at me playfully and winked at me. Damn, that wink made my heart beat faster. "Come on, Carolina, you don't want to walk to school, do you?" Mom questioned. "We don't know what kind of animals are in the forest. Also, I feel safer if you go with Kayler.". The animals
You are mine. Powerful words. I should berate him for his conceit but yet I was too surprised to move. Why did he say this? Kayler looks at me with certainty. Apparently, he was not lying or playing a joke. Finally, my ration came back to me and I became angry. "I'm not yours!" I pushed him away, but as expected it didn't work. He's stronger than I am. He held my chin with a little force but without hurting me, so that I could look at him. "You're mine. Point. It is not in dispute. And, from now on I'll take you home. Everyday." Kayler emphasized when said "Everyday". This picked up my nerves. I glared at him, "Stupid swaggerer! I'm not an object! I'm a person! I don't belong to you! Who do you think you are? My father? " "The wood's not safe." After throwing these words out like some final decision, Kayler turned his body back without speaking again no matter how I tried to yell at him. I wanted to open the door and jump out of the car, but this idiot locked the door and I
Fear haunted me. Receiving a threatening letter is not an everyday thing. I had only been here two days and they already want to see me dead. I couldn't take my eyes off my phone. I was breathing with difficulty. Maybe I should just ignore it. Maybe it's a practical joke. I desperately wanted to write this off as a bad joke, but my gut told me someone was onto me.Who had sent the message? Paige? I looked at Paige, who was drinking her juice calmly. I don't see her with her cell phone in her hand so it might not be her. Could it be another girl who has a crush on Kayler? He was too popular after all. I turned off the phone and looked at Anne, who was watching me with her frown. "You're good?" She asks, "You look pale." Yes, I'm fine, if not considering that there are wolves in the wood wanting to get me killed and now I'm in trouble with Kayler's girlfriend. And Kayler, that strange guy. "Yeah, it's just ... I'm not feeling well." I lied. I feel terrible. Anne placed he
Saturday. Today is party day. Of course, I am not going. Kayler will be there, and most likely Paige will also be. I won't fit in. So I prefer to be alone in my house watching Netflix or something, eating popcorn. Maybe order a pizza. I organized my stuff, hung up the rest of the photos, cleaned the house, and took out the trash. Yesterday I took the pills nurse gave me and feel much better now.It was about seven-thirty, and I was watching TV in my pajamas. Through the window, I saw the lights of Kayler's house all lit up. Cars parked outside of that house and young people kept coming inside out. Vaguely, I heard music come through. The moon was brighter than ever, and also was reflected in the water. The scene is beautiful and the other side of the lake is very busy. But I don't want to go out at night again, lest encounter wolves. A chill ran through me as soon as I thought of that. Wolves. How could I allow Mom to bring me to this city that's so ... unknown to us? And to t
I woke up feeling voraciously hungry. It was like he hadn't eaten in days. I got up and sat on the bed, still groggy from sleep. Next to me was Elder, fast asleep. Had I been the one to awaken the wolf in him? Thinking about it scared me a bit... I got out of bed and went to the kitchen, but when I opened the fridge I saw that there was nothing inside: no meat, no vegetables, not even yogurt... How was I going to satisfy my hungry now? I took a deep breath to calm myself and tried to think clearly. He needed to find food... or something that could replace it for now. I suddenly remembered that Elder had some bottles of blood kept in his closet. I took them and opened them quickly; I needed to drink that fresh blood before fully transforming into a wolf.Breakfast ready: I went to the kitchen and got some eggs, bacon and hashbrowns from the fridge. I put them in the pan to fry them with olive oil. There wasn't much to do for breakfast, but I wanted it to be special because it was Eld
Elder kissed me passionately, his lips moving against mine in perfectly timed fashion. His hands ran down my back and he held me close to him, making our bodies merge into one. I wanted so badly to make love right now, to feel his warm body inside mine… But then Elder jerked away. "We can't," he said hoarsely. "The other wolves will be watching us." I was frustrated and disappointed, but I knew he was right. Although we couldn't be together yet, knowing that Elder felt the same way about me filled me with hope for the future.''fuck it'' he snapped and kissed me even more. Elder stared into my eyes and I got lost in his gaze. His lips moved against mine and his hands trailed down my back, pulling me close. I wanted so much to make love right now, to feel his warm body inside mine... Elder slowly took off his shirt, exposing his muscular torso. I stared at him, surprised by his beauty. Then I realized that he was naked too... and I was not wearing any clothes. Our eyes met and in that i
ELDERElder left the boarding school looking for Amara. He was carrying a flashlight and a knife, but he had no idea where to start looking for her. It was totally dark and cold outside, and Elder knew that wolves were dangerous in such conditions. But he was desperate to find his girlfriend, so he walked resolutely into the forest. The full moon shone through the treetops and Elder could easily see his way through them. Suddenly he heard a noise: it was as if something was moving right behind him... could it be Amara? He turned quickly, but there was no one there. He felt a chill as he thought that maybe it was a wolf following him to attack him… Shaking those terrifying thoughts from his head, Elder kept moving forward until he reached the skylight. There he saw Amara: she was sitting in the center of the clearing, completely immobilized by fear. Her eyes were wide and Elder guessed that he must be seeing the wolf slowly approaching her... Elder was sitting on the ground, his back ag
I woke up when I felt hands on my neck. I still couldn't open my eyes, but I realized that she was being kidnapped. She felt my attacker's rough breathing and the smell of sweat on her fingers. They took me up a steep path until I was finally able to open my eyes. She was in the middle of an unknown forest, surrounded by tall, bushy trees. There was no one in sight except my kidnapper, who introduced herself as Melania. It was obvious that she was a werewolf: she had the same physical characteristics as me and she smelled just like them. However, I did not perceive any trace of the pack to which she belonged; she must be a loner. "What do you want?" I asked her with a shaky voice. "Oh, I just wanted to meet you," she replied, smiling forcefully at me. "You've been hard to find." I didn't know how to answer him, so I remained silent, staring into her bright green eyes. I suddenly saw her lips part from her to reveal a pair of sharp fangs… and she then she attacked me! "Don't you dare do
''Amara, please relax,'' Flavia tells me, but I felt weird making out with her. She's a lesbian, I'm not. I felt so close to her that I could smell the sweet vanilla scent of her skin. Her lips were so close to mine... It was all I could do not to kiss her. She knew that if she did, she wouldn't be able to stop. So I stayed still and tried to suppress my desire. But then she moved even closer and her lips brushed against mine... I couldn't resist any longer, so I kissed her hard. She answered me immediately and her hands began to explore my body. I felt like she was on fire... Never before had she felt like this with anyone. Our tongues intertwined over and over again in a passionate dance, our bodies pressed against each other... I wanted to get her out of the car and take her somewhere where we could be alone, but I knew it was dangerous: if we were found out, we could seriously hurt the relationships between our families. So we finally broke apart, both gasping from the intensity o
The full moon peeked through the forest, unable to rest. She felt like the Moon was snowballing her way from this planet to the other, and all she saw was drastic changes in natural tracks until the end of time. So she listened to something very harsh from the Moon that had begun its journey to the oceans for seven million years and she did not know when she would be next to her love again. She was a kind of spiritual member of the Space Wind, for that reason he felt her presence with more intensity and breathed the laughter of his answers, until the Sun went out...The fire was so big that the sky looked like a very luminous black cloth. Elder knows that the full moon is special because there are wolves like him in the forest, but he has never seen a light so bright to see them. Under the fire, his eyes were white and disenchanted.''Elder'' his father called him and the full moon came to his door. The wolf was very sad and asking for help to get out of this situation, Elder replied:
The next day Amara received classes at the boarding school; the first thing she left behind was a sheet of text with the words she had written to him. She was as if she was with nobody, and so she was more and more: most of the time she was left alone, until finally her mother no longer visited or called.Despite the fact that the last time he spoke to him was last Friday, yesterday morning he was in his room around noon; already with a white shirt and black pants, with his small glasses hanging in his right hand. Just like every other day, he approached the front door of the room, but never entered it. He barely felt his presence and just said "What is it?" sometime, but no more. The day before was similar, however. Once he told her that she was never coming back, and he asked if he wanted to see her as soon as he could, he was able to contain himself to crack a smile and reply, "Yes, I'll send you."And there then, before he wasted it, he put on his father's white t-shirt and field
''Please let me go,'' I begged Jean Paul's father. She had me kidnapped."I won't, Amara, until Jean Paul shows up"Love and love, dear father of Jean Paul. It doesn't make your grave bigger. Memories of you remain forever in my heart...The clock had already run out for the whole day: night had not yet come. Sometimes the bed was a kind of life, as if it were his own land; other times the bath or the enemas seemed if they were pieces of art. In the best of cases, that was my last breakfast of loneliness and rajones. The father's face was looking at each other while he cried and thought. In the friendly environment of the bedroom, the father tried to convince me that I would give myself to him soon, but I preferred to hide on the way out. After all, the entrance door of the dormitory was full of prisoners. An insider informed us that the bosses were in the courtyard, where they were talking to the guards who were going to look for Jean Paul. The afternoon had already ended and the roa
Amara and her friends Flavia and Mell spent a lovely afternoon at their picnic. Heaven made it feel like they were going to dance, but it wasn't anything wrong. The park was full of corn, water and forests that seem to blow. The children had fun along the way. Of course, Amara started talking to them about the big things: the police, the Templars, the gang members, and the little drugs… Well, some of the other characters had other ideas. Like the Carnival mask, which is a person that Amara doesn't understand why she likes it so much. That gave Flavia and Mell a bit of a spark… I don't know if she meant to be carnivalesque, but maybe it was a great idea. Finally everything ended perfectly. And Amara and her friends came out with the magic of Carnival. The girl told her that although I don't know who she was, she was a very good person. The next day, Amara went to her class and woke up in a huge rush. She felt like the hours of sleep were lacking. Taking advantage of her energy, she did
