You are mine.
Powerful words.
I should berate him for his conceit but yet I was too surprised to move.
Why did he say this?
Kayler looks at me with certainty. Apparently, he was not lying or playing a joke.
Finally, my ration came back to me and I became angry.
"I'm not yours!" I pushed him away, but as expected it didn't work. He's stronger than I am. He held my chin with a little force but without hurting me, so that I could look at him.
"You're mine. Point. It is not in dispute. And, from now on I'll take you home. Everyday." Kayler emphasized when said "Everyday". This picked up my nerves.
I glared at him, "Stupid swaggerer! I'm not an object! I'm a person! I don't belong to you! Who do you think you are? My father?
""The wood's not safe." After throwing these words out like some final decision, Kayler turned his body back without speaking again no matter how I tried to yell at him. I wanted to open the door and jump out of the car, but this idiot locked the door and I can't escape.
After a while, I got tired. I closed up my mouth, stopping cursing Kayler, who had been driving silently.
I looked at him. He is a very handsome guy, very popular in school. I've never had anything to do with people like this before I got there. But now this crazy boy said I was his. I hate him. I hate his mouth which is always saying unpleasant things.
I inadvertently lowered my gaze to his lips. They are so plump. What will they taste like? Oh my God! My mind is on a slippery slope! I shook my head and turned my head back, driving his image out of my head.
"Kayler, you can't do this..." At last, I murmured. But it was like more for me.
Kayler parked in the school parking lot and turned off the car. I was still waiting for an answer from him. I will not allow him to keep an eye on me or to always take me to and from school. He has his girlfriend.
"I'm sorry, Carolina. I can't let anyone hurt you. You are in danger." When Kayler said this I watched his stiffen a little.
In danger?
Kayler looked at me with concern, "I see the time has not yet come. I can't tell you the truth right now."
This is too confusing. I'm tired of guessing what he meant. He's a psycho. That's all.
"You know what? I'm leaving. Stay with your weird thoughts." I snapped as I got out of the car and slammed the door. As I left, several boys and girls stared at me, I knew it was because I came with Kayler. He really should have let me go before we got to school.
I ignored the stares and walked briskly to my classroom.
When I arrived I noticed that Anne was sitting next to my desk. I quickly walked over and sat down. Anne looked up and smiled at me.
"Morning, Carolina."
"Hello, Anne. Sorry about yesterday. Yesterday I couldn't speak to you anymore." I apologized. Anne shook her head laughing.
"Does not matter. You did what no one has done in this school. Confront Paige!"
Now I remember what Anne told me yesterday before going on to the blows. She said Paige was dangerous.
"Anne, why did you say Paige was dangerous?" I asked. At least I should know what I was dealing with.
Anne doubted to tell me the truth but eventually leaned closer to me.
"There are rumors that they are were..."Anne paused there. They are rare what?
"They say the last person who disobeyed them ... didn't live to tell the tale," Anne whispered nervously. "It was a boy who argued with Paige in front of the whole school and she, as expected, got very angry. The next morning the boy was found dead in the forest."
Oh, God. This is an awful story. Very terrible.
"The weird thing is that the boy had animal marks. Scratches, bites, the disfigured face among other things."
"What killed him?"
"It was never known. The weirdest thing was that the next day Paige appeared as if nothing happened, smiling. And..." Anne's voice came like a cold wind, "...do you know where that boy lived when he was alive?"
"Where?" I shivered, having a bad guess.
"In the same house that you live in now."
I clenched my fist tightly. Is that why Kayler said I was in danger? That I'm in trouble with Paige. Or that I'm living in a dead boy's house, threatened to be killed by wolves. I'm sure that those were the same wolves I encountered last night in the forest.
The bell rang and the class began. Anne turned around preparing for the class. I couldn't concentrate on what the teacher was saying. I was in a whirl of thoughts.
***
When I sat with Anne at a table in the cafeteria to eat our lunches, Paige came in.
"There's Paige ..." Anne murmured, looking behind me.
I followed her gaze. There she was sitting next to Kayler. I rolled my eyes seeing her so close to him. But suddenly something caught my attention. Paige's shoulder was hurt and she had a bandage on.
"What happened to her shoulder?" Anne asked as I asked the same question in my mind.
Kayler looked at me like he was making sure I'm okay... I think. I stared back. He knows I have questions and many doubts that sooner or later he will have to answer.
Soon Kayler turned back his eyes and said something to Paige, making her laugh. I feel a taste of jealousy when seeing this. I quickly turned my eyes away, trying not to feel angry, and finish my lunch.
Then, my phone vibrated announcing a new message. I quickly checked it and the next thing I saw left me frozen, paralyzed, and speechless:
From: Unknown
Attention, Carolina. The forest will be your new enemy. Do not approach Kayler, or otherwise, your death will be even more painful than I had planned.
Fear haunted me. Receiving a threatening letter is not an everyday thing. I had only been here two days and they already want to see me dead. I couldn't take my eyes off my phone. I was breathing with difficulty. Maybe I should just ignore it. Maybe it's a practical joke. I desperately wanted to write this off as a bad joke, but my gut told me someone was onto me.Who had sent the message? Paige? I looked at Paige, who was drinking her juice calmly. I don't see her with her cell phone in her hand so it might not be her. Could it be another girl who has a crush on Kayler? He was too popular after all. I turned off the phone and looked at Anne, who was watching me with her frown. "You're good?" She asks, "You look pale." Yes, I'm fine, if not considering that there are wolves in the wood wanting to get me killed and now I'm in trouble with Kayler's girlfriend. And Kayler, that strange guy. "Yeah, it's just ... I'm not feeling well." I lied. I feel terrible. Anne placed he
Saturday. Today is party day. Of course, I am not going. Kayler will be there, and most likely Paige will also be. I won't fit in. So I prefer to be alone in my house watching Netflix or something, eating popcorn. Maybe order a pizza. I organized my stuff, hung up the rest of the photos, cleaned the house, and took out the trash. Yesterday I took the pills nurse gave me and feel much better now.It was about seven-thirty, and I was watching TV in my pajamas. Through the window, I saw the lights of Kayler's house all lit up. Cars parked outside of that house and young people kept coming inside out. Vaguely, I heard music come through. The moon was brighter than ever, and also was reflected in the water. The scene is beautiful and the other side of the lake is very busy. But I don't want to go out at night again, lest encounter wolves. A chill ran through me as soon as I thought of that. Wolves. How could I allow Mom to bring me to this city that's so ... unknown to us? And to t
I angrily got up from my chair. How could he say this, in front of all these people? "I'm not yours, Kayler!" I spat. Connor turned to Kayler. "You heard her," Connor said, hiding a smile at my reaction. Kayler looked at Connor angrily. His jaw was clenched and he broke his beer glass in anger, by hand! Kayler warned, "Connor, You know what I mean." Connor didn't answer. Though he didn't speak I knew he is angry right now. What was Kayler talking about? What did he mean? Kayler gave me one last look before leaving. The drama I expected didn't happen. Connor approached me. "Hey, do you want to dance? "Connor whispered in my ear. I looked up at him, confused. "Connor, I don't know if it's..."I asked, but he interrupted me. "Hey, we came here to have fun. Don't listen to Kayler."Connor grabbed my hands. I couldn't help frowning. I feel weird being touched by Connor. It's not the same feeling I get when touching Kayler. Kayler's touch is warm a
A week has passed. A week since the time I sprained my ankle and Kayler wrapped a bandage around it. A bandage that, by the way, I still have. Being Saturday I'm super bored at home with nothing to do. I didn't go to class all week. I also didn't see Kayler again since that night. I didn't see him again. I didn't get any weird messages either, part of that is good; you can tell I've had a really rough week, as you can also tell that on more than one occasion I've missed Kayler's asshole; and I don't even know why. Anne has mailed me what you've seen this week in class, I haven't even written it down in my notebook. You know what's even weirder? That I haven't heard a single howl in all the days, weird isn't it? Mom was working, today she was even coming in at night. Every once in a while I looked out my window at Kayler's house; do you believe I haven't seen a single light on since the party? Could they have gone on a trip? That's impossible. Kayler and his group have to go
As soon as my humanity came to the surface of the water, I grabbed hold of Connor's neck, being too close for my liking. But it's just that it's deep and I can't swim. I thought it would be dry. Connor smiled. "I ... "he began, a little nervously. "Don't get your hopes up," I whispered. I can't swim," I confessed. I put my arms around his neck and I could tell that he wrapped his arms around my waist. At least this way I won't drown. "Really?" he asked, astonished. I frowned. "You've never met someone who can't swim before?" I questioned. He denied Our faces were too close so I avoided his gaze. I buried my head in his neck. Anyone who saw us like that would think we were a couple. And then I remembered. Kayler I turned to look at him. He was looking at us, I know he would be a little far away but I could tell he was angry. We had our hands clenched and then suddenly he turned and walked away. Where did he go? "I bet he's coming this way." Connor commented,
Kayler looked deep into my eyes, there was something in his gaze. I moved my gaze to his lips, I really don't know why I feel a huge urge to kiss him. It's... Kayler! The guy with airs and graces, The one who is the most popular in school, The one who looks like the leader of everyone and I bet he's a womanizer; but I haven't seen him with any girl, besides Paige, of course. He came closer, a little closer until... A car horn startles us, I hear a curse from him and he hides a laugh. I stand up to see who is responsible for such a huge interruption. Mom. She gets out of her car, all smiles and walks towards me. "Carolina, my daughter!" She hugs me. Why so much happiness? "Mom... What's the matter?" I questioned, pulling myself out of his grip. Her gaze shifted to behind me. -Oh, Kayler! I didn't know you were here, Honey. -she gave his a kiss on the cheek. I rolled my eyes. -How are you? -He said hello. -Unbelievable! -Now she turns to me- I have a date! I ra
He was the one in charge, I just followed him. damn! He kisses so well. His lips on mine make everything in me light up, my heart beat a mile a minute; my legs tremble and I can't move my hands to push him away. Part of me wants to push him against the wall but another part wants to hold him tighter to me, and I can't move. He stops to look me in the eye. I can't manage to say anything. He leans in for another kiss but before that, we hear howling coming from the forest. It makes all my skin tingle. I look out my bedroom window. This time it's not just one howl, it's several. Kayler looks out the window too and frowns. He moves a little away from me. "I have to go." He mumbles. He goes to my nightstand and picks up a picture of me, taken last year at a fair. "And this," he shows me the photo, "is mine now." I react. "What?" I ask. He walks out of my room leaving me alone. I keep up with him, God! I don't want him to leave, especially not with my picture. "I didn't give it
The anguish was great. She was super scared, her pupils were dilated and her chest was rising and falling; she didn't understand well, what happened to her? - What's wrong with you? -I questioned, "What happened to you?" She swallowed thickly. -It's something horrible. -She murmured. I went over to her to take her by the arm and lead her to sit on the couch. She was really scared, I think I'll give her some water to calm her down. -I'll be right back. -I said. I went to the kitchen; I took out a glass and filled it with water. When I came back I handed it to her. - You won't believe what I saw on the way here. -she said, putting the glass of water on the table, after taking a sip. I raised an eyebrow, questioningly. "It was something... horrible." He looked at me "I looked at a wolf" I felt a pang in my chest "It was eating a deer." I put a hand to my chest. Anne looked at it. I know if I tell her what happened to me he'll believe me. -I was coming to your house to
I woke up feeling voraciously hungry. It was like he hadn't eaten in days. I got up and sat on the bed, still groggy from sleep. Next to me was Elder, fast asleep. Had I been the one to awaken the wolf in him? Thinking about it scared me a bit... I got out of bed and went to the kitchen, but when I opened the fridge I saw that there was nothing inside: no meat, no vegetables, not even yogurt... How was I going to satisfy my hungry now? I took a deep breath to calm myself and tried to think clearly. He needed to find food... or something that could replace it for now. I suddenly remembered that Elder had some bottles of blood kept in his closet. I took them and opened them quickly; I needed to drink that fresh blood before fully transforming into a wolf.Breakfast ready: I went to the kitchen and got some eggs, bacon and hashbrowns from the fridge. I put them in the pan to fry them with olive oil. There wasn't much to do for breakfast, but I wanted it to be special because it was Eld
Elder kissed me passionately, his lips moving against mine in perfectly timed fashion. His hands ran down my back and he held me close to him, making our bodies merge into one. I wanted so badly to make love right now, to feel his warm body inside mine… But then Elder jerked away. "We can't," he said hoarsely. "The other wolves will be watching us." I was frustrated and disappointed, but I knew he was right. Although we couldn't be together yet, knowing that Elder felt the same way about me filled me with hope for the future.''fuck it'' he snapped and kissed me even more. Elder stared into my eyes and I got lost in his gaze. His lips moved against mine and his hands trailed down my back, pulling me close. I wanted so much to make love right now, to feel his warm body inside mine... Elder slowly took off his shirt, exposing his muscular torso. I stared at him, surprised by his beauty. Then I realized that he was naked too... and I was not wearing any clothes. Our eyes met and in that i
ELDERElder left the boarding school looking for Amara. He was carrying a flashlight and a knife, but he had no idea where to start looking for her. It was totally dark and cold outside, and Elder knew that wolves were dangerous in such conditions. But he was desperate to find his girlfriend, so he walked resolutely into the forest. The full moon shone through the treetops and Elder could easily see his way through them. Suddenly he heard a noise: it was as if something was moving right behind him... could it be Amara? He turned quickly, but there was no one there. He felt a chill as he thought that maybe it was a wolf following him to attack him… Shaking those terrifying thoughts from his head, Elder kept moving forward until he reached the skylight. There he saw Amara: she was sitting in the center of the clearing, completely immobilized by fear. Her eyes were wide and Elder guessed that he must be seeing the wolf slowly approaching her... Elder was sitting on the ground, his back ag
I woke up when I felt hands on my neck. I still couldn't open my eyes, but I realized that she was being kidnapped. She felt my attacker's rough breathing and the smell of sweat on her fingers. They took me up a steep path until I was finally able to open my eyes. She was in the middle of an unknown forest, surrounded by tall, bushy trees. There was no one in sight except my kidnapper, who introduced herself as Melania. It was obvious that she was a werewolf: she had the same physical characteristics as me and she smelled just like them. However, I did not perceive any trace of the pack to which she belonged; she must be a loner. "What do you want?" I asked her with a shaky voice. "Oh, I just wanted to meet you," she replied, smiling forcefully at me. "You've been hard to find." I didn't know how to answer him, so I remained silent, staring into her bright green eyes. I suddenly saw her lips part from her to reveal a pair of sharp fangs… and she then she attacked me! "Don't you dare do
''Amara, please relax,'' Flavia tells me, but I felt weird making out with her. She's a lesbian, I'm not. I felt so close to her that I could smell the sweet vanilla scent of her skin. Her lips were so close to mine... It was all I could do not to kiss her. She knew that if she did, she wouldn't be able to stop. So I stayed still and tried to suppress my desire. But then she moved even closer and her lips brushed against mine... I couldn't resist any longer, so I kissed her hard. She answered me immediately and her hands began to explore my body. I felt like she was on fire... Never before had she felt like this with anyone. Our tongues intertwined over and over again in a passionate dance, our bodies pressed against each other... I wanted to get her out of the car and take her somewhere where we could be alone, but I knew it was dangerous: if we were found out, we could seriously hurt the relationships between our families. So we finally broke apart, both gasping from the intensity o
The full moon peeked through the forest, unable to rest. She felt like the Moon was snowballing her way from this planet to the other, and all she saw was drastic changes in natural tracks until the end of time. So she listened to something very harsh from the Moon that had begun its journey to the oceans for seven million years and she did not know when she would be next to her love again. She was a kind of spiritual member of the Space Wind, for that reason he felt her presence with more intensity and breathed the laughter of his answers, until the Sun went out...The fire was so big that the sky looked like a very luminous black cloth. Elder knows that the full moon is special because there are wolves like him in the forest, but he has never seen a light so bright to see them. Under the fire, his eyes were white and disenchanted.''Elder'' his father called him and the full moon came to his door. The wolf was very sad and asking for help to get out of this situation, Elder replied:
The next day Amara received classes at the boarding school; the first thing she left behind was a sheet of text with the words she had written to him. She was as if she was with nobody, and so she was more and more: most of the time she was left alone, until finally her mother no longer visited or called.Despite the fact that the last time he spoke to him was last Friday, yesterday morning he was in his room around noon; already with a white shirt and black pants, with his small glasses hanging in his right hand. Just like every other day, he approached the front door of the room, but never entered it. He barely felt his presence and just said "What is it?" sometime, but no more. The day before was similar, however. Once he told her that she was never coming back, and he asked if he wanted to see her as soon as he could, he was able to contain himself to crack a smile and reply, "Yes, I'll send you."And there then, before he wasted it, he put on his father's white t-shirt and field
''Please let me go,'' I begged Jean Paul's father. She had me kidnapped."I won't, Amara, until Jean Paul shows up"Love and love, dear father of Jean Paul. It doesn't make your grave bigger. Memories of you remain forever in my heart...The clock had already run out for the whole day: night had not yet come. Sometimes the bed was a kind of life, as if it were his own land; other times the bath or the enemas seemed if they were pieces of art. In the best of cases, that was my last breakfast of loneliness and rajones. The father's face was looking at each other while he cried and thought. In the friendly environment of the bedroom, the father tried to convince me that I would give myself to him soon, but I preferred to hide on the way out. After all, the entrance door of the dormitory was full of prisoners. An insider informed us that the bosses were in the courtyard, where they were talking to the guards who were going to look for Jean Paul. The afternoon had already ended and the roa
Amara and her friends Flavia and Mell spent a lovely afternoon at their picnic. Heaven made it feel like they were going to dance, but it wasn't anything wrong. The park was full of corn, water and forests that seem to blow. The children had fun along the way. Of course, Amara started talking to them about the big things: the police, the Templars, the gang members, and the little drugs… Well, some of the other characters had other ideas. Like the Carnival mask, which is a person that Amara doesn't understand why she likes it so much. That gave Flavia and Mell a bit of a spark… I don't know if she meant to be carnivalesque, but maybe it was a great idea. Finally everything ended perfectly. And Amara and her friends came out with the magic of Carnival. The girl told her that although I don't know who she was, she was a very good person. The next day, Amara went to her class and woke up in a huge rush. She felt like the hours of sleep were lacking. Taking advantage of her energy, she did
