Kathrina POV

I looked at the side mirror of my father's pickup truck. He was driving with minimal speed, while I enjoyed the soothing air that slapped my face. Driving a little more, we halted near the town gate.

"Here, Kathy, this is where I'd stop," he said, getting out of the truck. I unclipped the seatbelt and got out.

"Now stubborn miss," my dad called when I got to him.

"How're you going to get back home?" I frowned.

"I will get back home. I just wanted to see you off here," I defended.

"And you're doing that for the first time. Why today? This is night," he said, rolling his eyes around. "Its past 7:30pm, you know."

"I can protect myself. And, maybe a cab would come around. I've got a special Uber…" I defended myself.

"No, Kathy. No cab's coming around. And your Uber might not work so late."

"Why? I'd…"

"Kathy… You know Lake Town. And moreover, you speak about protecting yourself, you're not even taller than this truck," he jested and I frowned.
