Gwen felt uneasy after overhearing the conversation between Dominic and his grandfather. She felt guilty for not being able to help her husband, especially when they started discussing the representative from a company Dominic hated.
“Is it Rachel?” Gwen wondered.
She heard more voices from inside the bedroom as Dominic answered his grandfather's question. He clearly had no feelings for that person anymore.
“I’ve buried those feelings alive. I just don’t want to deal with her or her family, that’s all,” Dominic said.
“Alright, I’ll send someone else from our company instead,” Grandpa replied. “Now, it’s your job to come up with an excuse if she ever asks about you.”
