Chapter 7: Dangerous

Emma’s pov

“They are calling for you,” Mama Joyce said, and I looked at the time.

It was about 9 in the morning, I just came back a few hours ago.

I almost died and yet they are calling me here again, what do they want?

I tied my hair back and then prepared myself for whatever emotional torture they had for me.

I tried to take my time getting there but was also fast enough not to be too late.

I got there and found everyone already eating their breakfast.

“So, you are alive,” Julia said, and I didn’t answer.

“How did you come out unscathed?” Alpha Hendricks asked me.

“I guess I was lucky Alpha, the whole forest was weirdly empty last night,” I answered.

“That is not possible, when I dropped you off I caught scents of about 4 rouges around that area. And also, a stench of a Lycan,” Justin said, and I just shrugged.

“Well, I didn’t catch a scent. Oh sorry, for some reason my wolf was gone,” I said and then looked at Justin.

“Just don’t do it again, please prepare my tea the way I like it,” Jennifer said, and I nodded as I bowed my head.

I went to the kitchen and then as I was coming back I noticed that Justin was looking at me.

He was watching my every movement and I felt even more uncomfortable.

I gave Jennifer her tea and then started doing some of the work that was waiting for me.

These people, it’s 9 am but they didn’t even check on their kids.

I walked to the kid's room and found them sitting around waiting.

“Aunt Emma,” they said the moment I walked in, and I smiled.

“Why are you guys still in your pjs?” I asked them.

“No one came to help us get changed,” Lea answered.

“They don’t care about us,” Jay said.

Justin and his mate have three kids together. Lea who is 4 years, Dylan, who is 8 years old years old and Dan who is 10 years old.

And Alpha and Jennifer have a son who is 5 years old.

I think he was conceived a few days after his mother and father met.

I helped them off their clothes and then prepared them some breakfast.

It’s funny, they treat someone who takes care of their kids like trash.

As the kids were eating I went to check how the grownups were doing.

An idea came to me, I know that Justin and his mate are monsters.

“Alpha, I would like to make a request,” I said and Alpha Hendricks looked at me with a frown.

“I am ashamed of my actions last night.

Can I please make a humble request so whatever happened does happen again?” I asked Alpha Hendricks.

“Go ahead,” he said, and I nodded.

“Instead of going upstairs to tell everyone when the food is ready, isn’t it better to have a set time?

That way everyone knows that on the set time they should come downstairs.

It will also prevent further incidents where an omega tries to seduce a high rank werewolf,” I said trying my best not to frown.

“That doesn’t sound like a bad idea,” Alpha Hendricks said.

“Yes, plus you tend to come at the wrong time most of the time.

We will do that, the set time will be 08.30 and also 19.00,” Jennifer said.

“Thank you Alpha and Luna,” I said and then turned around to leave.

“But Hendricks, why should we struggle because of bitches who can’t control themselves?” Justin asked.

I am struggling because he can't control himself and yet he dares to say all that?

“It is all her fault, there was no problem until she pulled that stunt,” he added.

I looked at him, I could see the hate in his eyes as he looked at me.

That is what Mama Joyce once warned me a few months ago.

She was telling me to be careful around Justin and I told her how much he hates me.

The man has been making sure that I never have a day of peace in my life ever since I got here.

But that is when Mama Joyce told me that such men are dangerous.

She told me that a man could hate you and still sexually desire you.

And when someone hates you and also wants you at the same time it is a dangerous combination for you.

He will do his best to get what he wants and also somehow inflict pain on you.

Now I understand what she means, this man hates me.

He almost killed me and seems like he won’t stop anytime soon.

I need to get out of here, I need to somehow get away from here.

I need to get away from these monsters somehow.

“He is telling the truth, why should we struggle?” Julia asked.

“Well, how about this? I will come and let everyone know when the food is ready. Is that okay with you Justin? Or do you think that I will seduce you too?” Mama Joyce asked.

I watched how Justin looked at her as if he was about to kill her but then smiled.

“It is okay, I am fine with you doing that,” he answered and seemed to be calm.

I think I find it even more scary when he is calm.

It is as if he is hiding the rage inside him and the person waiting to feel the wrath of his rage is usually us.

I spent the rest of the day working and doing all my tasks, but I was weirdly still not tired.

I felt so energetic, dinner time came around and I started serving them some food.

“Why do you look like that?” Justin asked me and I looked at him confused.

“Like what Beta Justin?” I asked him and he looked at me.

“Usually this late you always look sickly and pale. But now, you look just as you were in the morning,” he explained.

“For goodness sake Justin, don’t say such things to her.

She will think that you are interested in her since you are giving her all the attention,” Julia said.

“That is true, I say that you should just completely ignore her from now on,” Julianna added.

I hope that he listens to their advice and leaves me alone.

“Of course, you are right. The last thing I want is for her to throw herself on me,” Justin said.

I looked at Ashley and saw it seemed as if she wanted to roll her eyes.

She is a terrible person; I could never sell out Rachel just to save myself.

Not just Rachel but everyone, and that is what she did to me.

She knows how ruthless and heartless he is but still took me to him.

And also betraying my trust and drugging me.

I think that she is as much of a monster as he is.

I guess if one spends so much time with a monster, it’s only a matter of time before they become one themselves right?
