Logan’s pov

“What happened?” Charles asked me and I sighed.

“She was from Hendricks pack,” I explained, and he nodded.

“I mean usually you ask us to fend off the rouges without his pack members seeing us. But now you just spent the night with her,” he added, and I sighed.

“It was nothing okay, I was about to come back but something about her was different,” I tried to explain, and he nodded.

“I saw, she had beautiful eyes,” he said, and I rolled my eyes at this.

“She seemed to be more fragile and scared. Like she had been tortured somehow,” I tried to explain, and he nodded.

“I will believe you, but why was she on this side? Doesn’t he usually let them stay near his border?” Charles asked and I just frowned.

“That is a good question, I have to do something about this,” I said, and he smiled.

“Did you say you don’t want to involve yourself in werewolf matters?” Charles asked me.

I always say that but this time it is different for some reason.

Watching her walk off I couldn’t get rid of this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I hated watching her walk back to that pack that seem to torture her as well.

“Well, do you want me to look into her? I can find out who she is,” Charles suggested but I shook my head.

She is no one to me so there is no need to try that hard.

“She is no one, just let it be,” I said, and he nodded.

I went to my room and quickly took a shower to get my work started.

I don’t know why but for some reason when I closed my eyes I could see her.

What the hell is happening?

She is just a girl and nothing else.

I had to step off the shadows to help her.

Had I not helped her back then, I don’t even want to think what could have happened to her.

I should stay out of werewolf business since they don’t get along with us Lycans but that girl.

I can’t seem to get her out of my head and also what happened to her.

She seemed so fragile but was surprisingly resilient.

I could tell that she was ready to fight and the reason she was even there was because she fought.

That is what I heard Hendricks does to members of his pack.

He tries his best to break their spirits, I have heard about all the things that happen to those who don’t listen.

From what I have seen though, he always leaves them outside the border of their Pack.

It is safer on this side, but he bought her here.

Even our border is safe, actually our border is safer but that is not where they dropped her.

They dropped her in the middle as if hoping that she wouldn’t make it.

From the looks of it, they even tried to kill her but failed.

Was it a good idea?

Sending her back there?

Was it a good idea?

Sending someone who almost died to the same people that wanted her dead?

Did I make a mistake?

But there is nothing I can do about all of this.

“I can see the wheels in your head turning,” Charles said, and I looked up at him.

When did he get here?

“A Lycan with great hearing didn’t even realize that I walked into his office,” he said and then frowned.

“You usually can even hear a pin drop with how good you are but didn’t even notice me,” he said, and I just shrugged.

“The way you are acting about this, it is as if you have imprinted on her,” Charles said with a chuckle. His smile dropped when he noticed the look on my face.

“Did you imprint on her?” he asked me, and I shook my head.

“No, I don’t think so. I would know if I imprinted on her,” I said but then stopped.

“Please, you will give me a heart attack.

Did you imprint on her or did you not? It is not something one can’t forget because it involves sex,” he said, and I shook my head.

“I would not have sex with a random girl in a forest. No, I didn’t imprint on her,” I said trying to sound firm.

“Oh, thank goodness, otherwise you would have put her in even more danger,” he said, and I just shrugged.

“I understand, do you think I would let her go if I had imprinted on her? The laws allow me to bring her back her as long as she has my imprint on her,” I said, and he nodded.

“Well, it’s a good thing nothing happened,” he said and then laid back on the couch.

“Imagine imprinting on a werewolf, you would be in trouble bro,” he said and chuckled.

“Remember the story of a Lycan King who accidentally imprinted on a werewolf through a kiss?” he asked and shook his head.

“A mere kiss changed his entire life,” he added, and my heart stopped.

“No, why did all the color leave your face like that?” he asked me.

“I kissed her,” I said, and his eyes went wide as he looked at me.

“No, it was only one case, and that story is nothing but a myth. We all know that an imprint is left on someone during sex and nothing else,” I said, and he nodded.

“You are right, it was nothing but a myth. And you would know when you imprinted someone,” he said, and I nodded.

She kissed me and it wasn’t even that intense so there is no way.

I know I didn’t imprint on her; they why am I not so sure about it?

And also, a stench of a Lycan,” Justin said, and I just shrugged. “Well, I didn’t catch a scent. Oh sorry, for some reason my wolf was gone,” I said and then looked at Justin. “Just don’t do it again, please prepare my tea the w

Emma’s pov “Emma wake up please,” I heard someone say. I opened my eyes to find a frantic Alicia looking at me. She was covered in blood, but it wasn’t hers. “What happened?” I asked her and she just started sobbing. “It’s Rachel, that vile woman almost cut off her hand. There is a lot of blood, and I can’t stop it,” she said, and I nodded. I got off the scrappy bed and went straight to Rachel. She was also screaming in pain. I started helping her and stopping the bleeding. When everything was done, we took her to the pack doctor. “I am guessing this is Emma’s work,” he said as he looked at me with a smile. I could see that he was also dispirited by all these weekly and at times daily visits. “Yes,” I agreed either way. If it helps him feel a bit better then I can try to make the man uncomfortable now, can I? Rachel was now fast asleep, I looked at the 15 years old and frowned. We didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. But I must say, this is probably a littl

Someone like me doesn’t even deserve being in the same room as you, let alone doing all the things you mentioned,” I said. I turned to leave when he grabbed my hand. I could feel his claws digging on my flesh as he made me look at him. “You think you are so smart, don’t you? That your veiled insults are not understood,” he said and pushed me. I landed on my feet, “you are nothing but a lowly omega,” he said. I found myself smiling, and yet he wanted this lowly omega to warm his bed. When I didn’t say anything he looked at me. “You are really creepy, aren’t you? You never react, you are nothing but a robot,” he said. I didn’t answer or react which probably made him

My eyes landed around the place, and everyone was looking at me with disgust in their eyes. “Yes, she tried to seduce and came to my room,” Justin said, and I looked at his wife. She was looking down; I could deny everything but what’s the point. “You bitch, we gave you shelter and now you try to do this? Do you think that you are at our level. How dare you try to seduce the beta on this pack?” Jennifer asked me. I looked at her and then at everyone before smiling. They have always seen how Justin behaves around me. I could tell that she didn’t believe me, and she also still had her guard up. “Should we move closer to your pack? This is too close to the Lycans borders,” I said, and she looked around. “It will be safer here, a walk to my side of the pack at this time of the night wont be safe,” she said and then shrugged. “You don’t have to stay with me,” she added. “I want to,” I said, and she didn’t say anything after that but looked up. I looked at her, she was bruised and was bleeding. “Let me help you, you are injured,” I said and took out my emergency first aid kit. I was about to touch her, but she flinched which
