Caraline could not fall asleep. Her body was still lying on the bed with her eyes fixed on the ceiling of the room. From outside, she heard footsteps. She immediately pretended to be closed with her back to the entrance.

The door opened and footsteps approached. Grace and two maids entered, placed a basket of chocolate milk on the nightstand, and left the room.

After feeling that Grace and the two maids were far away, Caraline decided to sit down. She turned to the nightstand, picking up the basket that was there. As she picked up the bottle of chocolate drink, her tears fell again. Memories of her time with Deric suddenly came to her. She remembered how much she loved this drink. Even pretending to swap bottles just so she could kiss Deric indirectly.

"I... should be happy now," Caraline muttered as she wiped away tears. "I shouldn't be crying like a weakling. If I can get through the pain of being left by my parents and Carla, then I should be able to get through this."
