Caraline had spent most of her time in her room for the past two days. She would only go out for a walk by the lake in the morning and evening, where her main goal was to peek at Deric.

After the incident a few days ago, Caraline had been avoiding Deric because she felt ashamed and didn't know how to behave. She also never replied to Deric's messages or picked up his calls.

Caraline still often felt remorse and sadness when she found out that she was the culprit who caused Deric's disability. She cried so hard that her eyes were puffy.

"I finally know why Carla asked me to find and marry Deric," said Caraline, who was now on the balcony. The wind blew her hair to the right and left. It felt refreshing even though her heart was still hurting.

"I don't regret marrying Deric and spending so much time looking for him. I... was able to fulfill Carla's last wish, as well as continue her love for Deric."
