Chapter 70 Making Sacrifices Blindly

Dorothy had noticed that Jean was different a while ago.

She was unsure what would happen if she forced Jean into a corner.

"I have my plans."

Barnabas furrowed his brows. The look on his face was stormy.

"What are we supposed to do if Joyce asks about this? Don't tell me you've gone soft on Jean."

The look on Dorothy's face changed.

She never had a soft spot for Jean.

She didn't raise Jean, so she felt differently for Jean than she did for Joyce.

She would do whatever it took to stop Jean if Jean's mere existence affected Joyce's future.

"That's not it. Since she wants to leave Tyler and Henkel, then let her go somewhere else. She will be alone and have no one to depend on. Wouldn't it be easier for us to do whatever we want to her then?"

Barnabas finally understood after Dorothy explained.

"I thought you've gone soft on that rascal Jean."

Dorothy didn't respond to Barnabas's remark this time.
