The maid lowered her head upon hearing Jean's request.

"Although I've worked at Larson Residence for many years, I came to work here about a month ago. That's why I'm not very familiar with what's happening over there now," the maid said.

She continued, "Madam, when we started working at Larson Residence, all of us signed confidentiality agreements. Even if I try to ask about what's happening, my colleagues might not tell me the whole truth."

Jean nodded in agreement. "You're right. You guys wouldn't casually spread your employer's private matters to others. I apologize for putting you in a difficult position."

The maid pursed her lips and replied in a low voice, "But I do think that it's a bit strange. Madam, you're so well-liked by Mrs. Larson, and Mr. Larson canceled the wedding rather abruptly.

"Logically speaking, Mrs. Larson and Madam Judy should've come to visit you by now, but they haven't."

She added, "Maybe something happened with the Larsons."
