Coleen gazed at Lilian mockingly as she jeered, "No matter how many ulterior motives they harbor, none of them can possibly compete against you."

Lilian just smiled faintly. She didn't feel humiliated, nor did she want to unleash her wrath on Coleen.

Instead, she replied in a good-tempered nature, "Aunt Coleen, I know you still hate me for what happened two years ago.

"But ever since my father passed away, I'd already returned all of Esme's things to her. Heck, I never coveted any of the Page family's fortune.

"I chose to be nice because of you, Aunt Coleen."

Coleen just harrumphed in return. After shooting a cold glance in Lilian's way, she washed her hands and left the washroom.

Before that, she said, "You have no right to be meddling with my family's affairs."

Lilian responded by gripping the cutlery and the containers tightly. She glared daggers into Coleen's back the whole time.
