Meet My Family

(Amber POV)

If I had to listen to my mother narrating about my father's carelessness about us, I was going to hate my father. My mother was in her four ties whereas my father was thirty years old. So maybe my father lost his excitement for my mother. Does age matter when it comes to love?

So when I found out that my parents had separated and suddenly heard that my Mother was going to remarry. I was no longer surprised.

Not that it was a problem with my mother going after someone with her age, because my father was younger, so It wasn't like my father cared about mom having a boyfriend or getting married as he'd spent almost his time chasing younger girls, so I can't blame my mother if she finds a man to appreciate and love her.

"Aren't you still done?" My best friend Paige Reign complained while waiting for me to finish packing my school supplies.

"It's only a matter of time. What time is it?" I asked squeezing my sanitizer into the bag.

"4:30 pm and your boyfriend has been waiting outside for a while. Look, there are a lot of students hanging around. Because of your slowness, your boyfriend might take away from you." Paige pointed at my boyfriend Rhyzen Stevenson out on the window of our room.

I just shook my head when Rhys waved at me. I used to my boyfriend being popular, I can't do anything about his fans.

I’m Amber Eucein Cane, studying at one of the cool universities here in Cordova City, Williams University.

Big school, beautiful and with a nice uniform.

I have a handsome, kind, and rich boyfriend who is the son of one of the owners of the big airline companies here in the area. I was lucky, and I met the heir of the Stevenson's and became my boyfriend.

"Amber hurry up! You are getting into my nerves already! You're always slow as ever." Paige shouted.

I just smiled and slung my bag over my shoulder and followed her.

My best friend knew me too well. I moved slow. She is still not used to it. I'm slow to act because I want to make sure everything is good, everything is complete and nothing is missing. That's how I grew up. Paige came out so I chased after her.

I walked as quickly as my legs could take me, and I ran as speedily as was reasonable. I rushed to every student and teacher. Wait for me, that was me. I'm always late and slow.

But hearing the pounding rhythm of the music in my right earphone makes me rush any further.

The hallway was lined with students after students, it's after class, students are going home, so the students came out at the same time, their heads lined up in the hallway. My hands clenched my bag as I squeezed into myself among the students, while I'm chasing Paige!

Rhys greeted me immediately when I came out of the school building and kissed my forehead.

"Where are we now?" Paige asked.

"I'll go straight home, Mom will explain something to me," I said to Paige and stepped into the elevator.

Ever since my parents separated. I am staying with my mom, my sister is with my dad. My parents did not get along for a long time until they decided to separate.

"Is that so? Just say my regards to Auntie. I'll pass to get my ill brother before I go home, so you go first." Paige said goodbye entering the elevator.

Rhys was just quiet staring at me. Maybe he Appreciates my cute face. Hihi.

Arriving on the first floor, as we exited the elevator, I kissed Paige before going into the parking lot.

Paige waved back as she is heading to her little brother's room.

"I'll take you home." Rhys smiled.

"Don't need to, your route is different. I can go home alone riding on the bus!" I declined his offer to send me home.

He waved at those fans who were waving at him before holding my hand.

"I'll be more secure if I see you come home safely. So let me send you home." He said wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

"Is there anything else I can do? You're insistent!" I said wrapping my arm around his waist, and we walked to his car.

Arriving home, I immediately got out of Rhys's car and waved at him as he left.

He doesn't seem to come into our house, maybe he senses that mom and I have important things to talk to.

I immediately entered the gate and headed inside the house.

I was surprised when I entered the house with all our belongings in the living room.

"Mom, what is it?" I asked mom when she came down in stairs from above with my favorite cassette player.

"Dear, we're moving. Do you remember when I said that your uncle wanted us to live in his house? I agreed, dear. His house is further away, so you have to take a car service to go to school when we're there. " Said, Mom.

I do remember her saying she had a boyfriend.

I just sighed and picked up my things.

"Get dressed, and we'll be picked up here by your Uncle. They'll take care of our belongings." Mom added.

I just nodded and go to the bathroom to change clothes.

We'll be leaving this house, and going to live with my stepdad and stepbrothers.

When I already changed clothes, two cars stopped in front of the house.

Some people came down from there and dragged our belongings into the car.

I just stare at them. I sighed knowing that I'll be living a new life now.

Until they finished, and we rode in a car as well.

The car drove along the road to somewhere.

Were in the way for a minute until we arrived at the enormous house with the enormous gate.

The gate opened.

"Here we are." Mom said as we entered the car.

So many plants. There is a large swimming pool and a very spacious yard.

Our car drove around and stopped at a garage.

I peeked over and saw a man standing near the door, earlier waiting and smiling, looks like he is so happy.

One of those who came to us opened the car door, so I got out.

Mom ran to the man and the man immediately hugged her.

I also stepped towards them.

"Van, this is my daughter, Amber. Dear, this is your uncle Van, he's my childhood friend and now my boyfriend, from now on we will be in his care." Mom's said with a wide smile.

"Good day." I stuttered.

"Thank you for coming her Amber. Glad you to be here. Everything here belongs to you and your mom." Uncle Van smiled at the same time as Mom.

"Thank you." I stuttered lazily.

"Let's go inside. Your room is ready, daughter. My children will be here soon, and you will get to know them. Welcome to the family. I hope we will be happy with each other." Uncle holds Mom's hand as we enter the house and I followed.

The house is very big, very beautiful, elegant and has many helpers.

Wide and beautiful. Waaah, I can't wait to see my room.

When they arrived in the living room, mom and uncle immediately sat down. I was about to sit down when a handsome and tall man in an office suit entered.

"Son, Harry glad you're here. This is what we talked about last night. Your Aunt Ziane and her daughter Amber from now on they will live with us here." Uncle Van said to the newcomer.

I bowed.

"Daughter, Amber this is my oldest child, Harrison." An uncle introduced his son.

"Hi Amber, I'm Harry. Nice meeting you. Welcome to our family. If you need anything you can count on me." Harry's stuttering smile while messing up my hair.

Watch he's handsome he looks kind!

"Maybe, Amber is tired. Lead her to her room first, and we'll just call her when it's time to eat." Uncle said to Harry.

"Sure dad. I'll take care of her. Tomorrow morning I'll tour her around the house." Harry said happily.

I kept smiling. Waaaah it looks like I'm going to have an Oppa stepbrother!

I picked up my bag on the sofa when suddenly another handsome man appeared. His straight hair is maroon brown, his long and beautiful eyelashes collide with his bangs, his twinkling eyes, his pointed nose, and his bloody lips looking so perfect!

He was wearing a black uniform with the crown brand and initials C.U. .... Crown University.

He looks very clean and fresh, but he looked at me badly from head to toe. It looks like he doesn't like me.

"Oh, my youngest son is here. Vaz son this is Amber and your Auntie." An uncle introduced us to his younger son.

He approached mom and kissed her cheek.

He looked at me first before passing me and going up the stairs.

I just looked behind him and didn’t listen to what Uncle and Harry were saying.

It looks like Vaz doesn't accept us in his family …

What can happen in my life now that I'm here, and I can be with these great men?

I hope my adjustment will be easy, I hope they are kind they'll accept us whole.

I just sighed and looked at mom with a wide smile while talking to Uncle Van.

It's up to you, just for you Mom. Where ever you are happy, I'll support you.
