CHAPTER 5

BETRAYAL

(Amber POV)

I felt sorry for Vaz because I knew his left shoulder was bruised. After all, it was the first to fall and hit the ground when we jumped out of his car, he didn't even show that he is in pain, or maybe he just endured the pain.

He looks like a brave man. I could not see any fear or hurt on his face. I was even more captivated by the strength of his charisma as a man.

I was surprised when we arrived at the house, Vaz suddenly rushed and punched Harry.

I forced myself to walk properly even though the wound in my knee hurt, because I didn’t want Mom to know, and she would have to worry more.

Furthermore, I also don't know anything about their quarrel, maybe Vaz was angry because he was the one Harry ordered to fetch me after school. So his car broke down.

Till this time my flesh is still trembling. What happened to Vaz's car? His car was too new to break down.

When Vaz and Harry left, I left immediately too, to avoid Mom and Uncle's questions, I told them that I'm going to take a bath and get dressed first.

Earlier, even though Vaz and I were in danger, I wasn't scared in the slightest and I felt safe because Vaz was around.

I climbed the long and fancy stairs up, to my room to seek medicine and cleansing for my wound.

When I made sure that Uncle and Mom would not see me below, I went to my room holding my hurting knee.

When I entered my room, I immediately inhaled the very pleasant smell of silence and peace, as if I was in the right place and this is my home.

I immediately opened the drawer that was there to find a first aid kit. I was about to enter one of my walk-in closets when the door suddenly opened and Vaz entered with the box of a first aid kit.

I was just stunned by him. He closed the door of my room and walked towards me.

He was wearing a white T-shirt and was still wearing a uniform. I can see the bruises on his elbow.

"Sit down. I'll treat your wounds." He said pointing to my bed.

I shake my head.

"You don't have to do that. You can just leave that box there, and I'll treat my wound. It's just a small wound." I said seriously.

He glared at me and laid the box he was holding on the floor.

He looks at me, maybe making sure I'm okay.

Likewise, he turned around and walked towards the door.

I took a deep breath when he finally came out.

Damn!

I immediately ran to the door and locked it.

I went to the closet and changed my clothes. After I changed I sat down in front of the big mirror and started combing my hair.

I remembered what had happened earlier, so I shook my head to clear my mind from the trauma.

I dropped my comb when there was a knock on my bedroom door.

Vaz? Have I said my thanks to him? It was lost in my mind.

I stood up to open the door.

"Amb." Harry smiled when I opened the door.

"Harry? Do you need anything?"

"I heard you had a bad day and something bad happened to you and Vaz because I didn't pick you up. Can I make up for it?" He asked smiling.

"Eh, how?" I asked wondering.

"I'll take you for a walk, we'll eat out, and I'll buy you DVDs." He added and smiled. Showing his perfectly aligned teeth.

"Waaaah really? Will you buy me?" I was suddenly feeling excited.

"Of course, I asked Aunt a few things about you, and she said you used to like watching movies in your room, so I'll buy you DVDs." He said with a wink.

Waaaah Harry, I like you. You're such a perfect older brother.

"Let's go quick!" I said pulling my coat near the door hanging and go out of the room!

"Let's go!" Harry said and followed.

I immediately ran down the stairs.

"Careful Amb," Harry called but I went straight down.

I ran into the living room, ran out into the garage, into Harry's car.

I’m excited to buy DVDs.

"You're fast!" Harry smiled as he opened the door of his car for me.

I entered immediately.

Harry got in and started his car engine.

It's getting dark, but it's okay. The city is bright and many other open malls and establishments that operate 24 hours.

I look up at Vaz's room.

I sighed. I hope he's okay. Not only that, but I hope he has no serious injuries.

We exited the gate and Harry continued to drive his car.

"We're going a little far. Rest, take a nap, Amber." Harry said turning to me and smiling.

Why do I seem nervous at Harry's smile?

Why are we going so far? Shall we just buy DVDs?

I narrowed my eyes. Harry is good, don't think badly of him Amber! I said in my mind.

I fell asleep. I just woke up when Harry woke me up when we arrived at his favorite eatery far from the City.

After we ate we immediately went to the original DVDs store and I bought a lot!

It was a happy night with Harry, this is how it feels when you have an older brother.

Yesterday Harry bought me tapes and I plan to watch them with Rhyz. It's Saturday, so I know Rhyz is just at his house. One of Uncle Van's drivers sends me to Rhyz's house.

When the driver left, I immediately entered the gate of Rhyz's house.

"Where's Rhyz?" I asked her maid after I entered.

"Ah eh, miss Amber ..... Um .... he left earlier." Rhyz's house helper stammered.

"It's Saturday, where is he going?" I asked in astonishment.

"Maybe he goes jogging." Rhyz's other assistant said.

"It's 9 am, and he is still outside on this sunny day. It's hot outside, so he should bring a bike. I'll just wait for him in his room." I said looking around the house and step up the stairs, but the maids stopped me.

"Ma'am Amber you can't go to Lord Rhyz's room." A maid said stopping me.

"Why not?" Full of astonishment I asked.

"Because it's not clear yet. It hasn't been ... cleaned yet." Another maid stammered.

"I'll just clean it up," I said grabbing my arm from their grip and went up the stairs.

Will I let them hold me back? Even now they ban me from entering Rhyz room, I'm here almost every weekday!

I made my way in the hallway to Rhyz's room.

Arriving at Rhyz's room, the door was ajar, so I just pushed it open, and I was surprised by what I saw!

Rhyz and Holly are in bed naked and kissing!

It was as if cold water had been poured on me and a distant dagger had stabbed me in the heart with what I saw! My flesh trembled, and my heart gradually warmed to what I witnessed. My knees were weak, and I was shaking so hard!

Pigs!

"Rhyz ?!" I forced a scream.

"Didn't your Mom teach you to knock first before entering someone else's room?" said the woman who is familiar to me. She pulled the blanket and covered her nakedness.

Traitors!

The girl, she's Holly, Harry's always within some pres cons, she's Harry's girlfriend!

"Amber, you're early?" Rhyz asked wearing his boxer shorts.

Not even a trace of shock or fear could be seen on their faces.

"I don't expect that you are this jerk Rhyz!" I said angrily. I clenched my small fists.

"Oh, darling doesn't be rude with your boyfriend," Holly added. Flipping her hair as she lay down on the bed sideways looking at me.

Disgusting!

"My boyfriend? How dare you? And Holly I didn't expect you to be this shameless!" I said as I run approached and slapped Holly.

I need to vent my anger on her!

"How dare you slap her in front of me!" Rhyz said angrily pushing me, so I fall.

My ass landed on the floor as my palms.

I felt even more pain now than the wound on my knee and elbow caused by the accident with Vaz.

Holly got off the bed and slapped me.

"Don't look clean like you're not flirting with Harry!" Holly whispered pulling my hair, so I held her hand.

"You're disgusting!" I shouted.

My body is shaking too much. I couldn’t believe what I witnessed. Rhyz, I never thought he could do that!

"You can leave now Amber. You've bothered us too much." My shameless boyfriend said!

I grew colder, smaller, and more depressed.

Is it because I'm not having sex with him that he's having sex with Holly? Is that a reason for him to betray me?

Rhyz you bastard and Holly you're such a bitch.

You dare to betray Harry and me!

I can't accept it, I'm so hurt!

I didn’t expect this!

During the time Rhyz and I were together, I didn't think he could do this to me and he doesn't seem to care about me. All the concern he showed me was all lie.

My tears kept falling. Maybe I don’t deserve something like him. Why did I dream of a man like him? Why did I believe in him?

I wiped away my tears.

I immediately left the house and ran down the road.

Suddenly a heavy downpour of rain hitting me! What a misfortune!

I'm getting dizzy! My heart and body are too heavy. The boys, they were wicked! Like my father!

I do not know what to do. I have all kinds of strange emotions. Furthermore, I was ready to burst. 

Mom.

Help!

"Amber? Amber!" A familiar voice I heard before I fainted.
