Chapter 26
Ink
I felt Tina stiffen as soon as I mentioned celebrating at home with my girl. I knew why, I had just told the entire club that I was going to take her home and fuck her.
I had no intention of doing it, but they didn’t need to know that.
“Relax.” I tried to calm her, but she didn’t listen.
As soon as we pulled up outside our apartment, she jumped out of the car and ran inside. Shit. I’d messed up.
“Tina?” I called as I walked through the front door. “Where are you?” “Bedroom.” She called back. Her tone was different, she sounded flat, disinterested. I walked in and found her lying in bed. “What are you doing?” I looked around the room and noticed the clothes she had been wearing were scattered on the floor. “Are you dressed?” I asked, “You don’t wear clothes for sex.” She told me, using th
EpilogueInkPresent dayWhen he was 10 years old, Rider asked us why his surname was different to ours. When we completed the adoption process, we could legally change his name to ours. Instead, we decided to call him Rider Kennedy-Andrews, using Tilly’s last name. We sat him down and told him that we had adopted him, and Tina told him all about Tilly. She told him that Tilly had died a few days after he had been born.He took the news well, saying he had always known he wasn’t Tina’s son as Tina was mixed race and he was white. He asked about his father, we had no answers for him. We decided to wait for another few years to tell him what had happened to Tilly and how he was conceived, but he was far too young to understand rape.We found out he had been using his connections with the club to look for his birth father when he was 17, so we decided to tell him then.I had been
Chapter 1Rider“I know son, I get it, but there is something you need to know first…”I was sitting in my dad’s office waiting to hear what he had to tell me.My dad is the president of the Titan Kings Motorcycle club, he had just called me into his office after he had found out I had been looking into my birth father. I had been adopted by Ink and Tina when I was 7 months old after my birth mother died. For the last few years, I had been looking into finding my father.“Sit down, son. You’re not going to like what I’m going to tell you, but I need you to try and keep calm, ok?”I nodded and pulled up the chair in his office.“This is really hard to tell you. We decided we were never going to tell you, and we hoped that you would never be interested in finding your father.” He paused to compose himself, searching for the words to start what
Chapter 2RiderI drove for around 200 miles. I arrived back at the compound about 3 hours later. I didn’t drive with any kind of purpose, I just needed to get out and drive. When I arrived back inside the compound, my dad was waiting for me. “Prez.” I greeted. It sounds odd, calling him Prez in front of people. But too many people asked questions when I called him dad and I hated it. I don’t talk a lot and I hated people knowing my business. I’m a private person.“How are you feeling now?” he asked, as we headed into his office and he closed the door.“I’m fine.” I lied.He raised his eyebrow, frowning at my blatant lie.“Did you kill anyone?” he asked, usually, this would sound like a stupid question- it wasn’t for me.I shook my head.“Good. Let’s keep it that way for now, yeah?” I nodded m
Chapter 3RiderThe first name on the list, a Cal Tierney, lived up in Virginia. We decided it would be easier to drive in the truck, as it would only take around 2 and a half hours. We pulled up in a rundown area. In a street of about 16 houses, every single one looked tired. Overgrown lawns were visible through broken fence posts. Missing paving slabs on pathways leading to houses that where in need of help. Not for the first time, I silently gave thanks to my adopted parents who chose to raise me and keep me safe, loved and protected. We pulled up at the house where we had found Cal. This house looked exactly like the rest on the street, rundown. My dad got out and I followed him to the door, where he knocked, and we waited. We heard the shuffling inside, alerting us that he was on his way. “Yeah?” he said, when he opened the door.“Cal Tierney?” My dad asked.“Yeah, who want
Chapter 4RiderWe decided to follow Martin’s list. On the drive back to the clubhouse, we decided to get the other brothers involved. We would split off in two’s, and each go to the house. This had to be the men who had raped the women. My dad called Creek and told him the new plan, he said he would start gathering up the brothers and making sure they ready for us when we arrived. We got back to the clubhouse well after midnight and decided to stay there to get some rest. My dad called church the next day so we could discuss the plan.“We need these men picking up in connection to something that happened years ago. I’m going to put you in pairs, and you will take one of the trucks, and drive to the men. As soon as you find him, you need to take a picture of him and send it to my wife. She will then let you know yes or no, if it is yes, then you grab him and bring him back here. If he struggles, do
Chapter 5RiderI was driving on my bike with my father’s address in my mind. My cell kept ringing, I assumed it was my dad, trying to get me to come back home.I was about 40 minutes into the drive when I had an odd feeling in my gut telling me to pull over. I found a safe place to pull over and signalled, letting the car behind me know what my plan was. It was dark now, I looked at my cell to see what time it was, 9:15. I noticed 6 missed calls from my dad and a voicemail. I clicked ‘call’ and called him back.“Rider, where the fuck are you?” he yelled down the phone.“On my way to see him.” I answered. He let out a long sigh. “For fucks sake son, you shouldn’t have gone alone. I need to be there.” He told me.“I’ll be there soon, so I’m not turning around now.” I argued.“I understand. Be careful and ca
Chapter 6Bonnie“Rider.” The man greeted. Rider nodded once. Not a big talker then. It suddenly dawned on me that I had been on a job when I crashed.“Shit!” I exclaimed, as the older man walked in my room. “What time is it?” I asked, Rider shrugged and looked toward the man. He sighed and looked at his cell. “almost 7am.” He told me. “Fuck!” I yelled and tried to hop out of bed.“What the hell are you doing?” Rider asked me, his voice concerned but with a hint of annoyance, as he stopped me from getting up.“I’m on a job, I need to get to Wilmington by 9am.” I told them, panicking.“Sweetheart,” the man started as he walked over to the bed, “from what I hear about your injuries, you ain’t going anywhere yet.” He tried to use the softest tone he could, worried I might start being hysterica
Chapter 7RiderI gotta admit, that was entertaining as hell watching that little girl standing up to my dad. Strangely enough, I felt proud of her. My dad was acting like a bit of a dick, he was definitely not showing her the respect that he would normally show bikers from other clubs. I was about to tell him so when her attitude kicked in and she defended herself, ripping him a new one with her tongue.I glanced over at my dad to see his reaction. To anyone else, he looked angry, like he was going to explode, but I also saw the hint of respect in his eyes, the pride of her standing up for herself.I smirked again, reliving the memory, as I stepped outside her room.“I called her Prez.” He started.“I wanted to know about her seeing as she’s going to be staying with us for a while.” He added.“Did you find anything out?” I asked.“Her name is Sky
EpilogueRider6 months laterAfter Bane was released from hospital, Sky wanted to stay at the clubhouse for a while to help him. Bane made an announcement on the night of the ‘welcome home’ party that Sky is his daughter. We hung around until Bane had his casts removed from his arm and leg. Her mother stuck around for a few days until she found someone else to move in with. We haven’t heard from her since. We also had to tell Bane and the rest of the brothers, mine and hers, that we were engaged. Her brothers and dad threw us a party congratulating us, and when we finally got back to North Carolina after being away for 8 weeks, they had also planned a party for us to celebrate.Bella, Julia, Kirsty, my mom and Hailey, Grizzly’s wife, all helped Sky to plan our wedding, which was in one week from today.Bane and my father split all the costs between them and paid for everything
Chapter 33Bonnie“Bane, there’s something I need to tell you.” My mother cut in, interrupting the interrogation between my father and myself. He turned to my mother, “what’s going on?” he asked.“18 years ago, I left you. I never told you the reason why.” My mother started.“You met that other man and wanted to marry him.” My dad offered.“Yes, but that wasn’t the only reason. I was pregnant.”“Are you trying to tell me that you were pregnant with my baby when you left?” he asked in disbelief. My mother nodded. He looked over to me, tears were streaming down my cheeks.“You’re my daughter.” He whispered.I nodded slowly. He closed his eyes and I saw tears streaming down his cheeks.“You’re my daughter.” He repeated, still in shock.
Chapter 32Bonnie“Wait…” I heard Carla say.The doctor stopped and turned back to her.“And you are?” he asked.“My name is Carla Clearwater.” My mother explained.“Are you a blood relative?” the doctor asked, confused.“I’m not… but my daughter is.” I was in shock. I felt like I couldn’t breathe, that I wasn’t inhaling enough oxygen quick enough. “What are you talking about?” Rider asked, as I started to gasp for breath, Rider must have heard me panicking and turned to me, and pulled me into his solid body, holding me impossibly close to him.“Sky, Skylar, I’m so sorry you had to find out like this.” She started.“Find out what exactly?” Rider asked again.Carla blew out a long breath before speaking again.“Bane i
Chapter 31Bonnie“I’m here.” I said, dragging myself out of the comfortable bed. I headed to the door where Ink and Rider stood. I looked at Ink’s face, noticing the worry on his face. I stilled. Something was wrong.“What’s happened?” Rider asked.“Bane left after you walked out Rider, he wanted to give you some time, so he booked on to the next flight. He arranged for one of his brothers to pick him up from the airport.”I started getting anxious, my breathing rapidly increased, as well as my heart rate.“Dad, tell us.” Rider urged.“They crashed. Someone hit them side on, the driver is fine, walked away with a few cuts and bruises, but Bane was in the passenger seat, the side that was hit.” He explained. My body started shaking. “Is he dead?” I asked, tears streaming down my cheeks. He shook his
Chapter 30RiderMy girls beautiful face paled.Anger quickly replaced the shock and she jumped up suddenly, knocking the chair down that she had just been occupying. She started pacing up and down the office.“I don’t want to see her.” Sky told him finally.“She’s missed you.” Bane tried to defend her mother.“She missed me so much that she hasn’t spoken to me in, what, 7 years?” she cried defiantly.“I know what she did was wrong, she knows it too, but she wants you to hear her side of things.” He continued.“No. I won’t see her. She’s dead to me.” Sky shouted, tears welling up in her eyes. I couldn’t bare to see her like this.“That’s enough.” I told them. I waited for them to calm down before speaking again. “Sky has made it clear that she isn’t interested in
Chapter 29BonnieI had been back at the Titan Kings club for almost two weeks. I had heard from Carbon, even Fury text me to check in, but I hadn’t heard from Bane. I was still kind of angry with the way he treated me, but I knew I would have to speak to him soon.Rider was also pushing me to make a decision on what club to be a member of. Ink had sat me down on my own a few days after we arrived and offered me a patch too, if I wanted to stay here with Rider. I was grateful that he wanted me to stay here, but was the reason just because I was in a relationship with his son?I did enjoy being here, Ink had given me some jobs to do, and I spent a lot of time with Rider’s brothers, and of course I have Kirsty and Bella, even Julia too although I don’t see her as often. I do really like being here, but my mind keeps wondering if I’m here because Ink thinks I’m good or if it’s because I&rs
Chapter 28RiderThe flight was quicker than last time. I couldn’t hold my happiness back that Sky had chosen to come back with me to my club. What Bane did was sneaky, but it worked. I knew he wasn’t going to give her a full patch, not when she was debating where she wanted to be. I wanted to try and explain it to Sky, but in the end, this way worked out better for me.We landed easily enough, and Axel was there to pick us up from the airport. “Hey brother!” He called, when he saw us leaving the terminal. “Hey.” I said, “still not talking much I see,” he smirked at me. “Bonnie, nice to see you, sunshine, how is the leg?” he asked my girl, “it’s almost all better now, thanks Axel.” She smiled. We put our cases in the back of the truck and headed down the long road that would eventually lead me back home. I held Sky’s hand the entire
Chapter 27BonnieAfter being completely humiliated in church, I ran back to my room. I had heard Rider standing up for me as I ran out of the room, begging myself to control my tears. I didn’t want anyone to see me cry. It wasn’t long after I had thrown myself on my bed when I heard Rider at my door. He told me I had half an hour before he came back, I knew I wouldn’t be able to get rid of him again, so I needed to get my ass up and get shit done.My humiliation soon turned to anger at my rejection in front of all my brothers, and I knew I didn’t want to face them anymore. Without thinking it through properly, I grabbed my suitcase out of my closet and started to throw my stuff in. I was done. I wanted out.Rider knocked back on soon enough, I knew he would be back so I unlocked the door so he could just come in. “It’s open.” I called. He opened the door and walked in. My
Chapter 26Rider“I haven’t dismissed you yet.” Bane called to Sky as she walked to the door. I could see her glassy eyes and knew she was about to cry, she wouldn’t do it in here though, I knew it must have been a battle to let her brothers allow her to prospect for them, let alone give her a patch. She wouldn’t want them to see her as weak, so I did what I had to. I stood up, taking Bane’s attention off my girl and bringing it to me.“This isn’t what we discussed.” I told him.Bane’s eyes widened as he took in my words.“No, it wasn’t, but she needs to know. I’m not fucking around, patching her in, and putting our emblem on for her cut, for her then to request a transfer in a few weeks.” He explained.“I understand, but I thought that was something you would discuss in your office.” I snarled.“Why?
