Inside the apartment Angela led Nicole to her seat. She let him relax before talking to her.
"I would have come looking for you at Lucas' place if I knew his address", she said truthfully. She only knew he lived in the central part of the city, the most rich and affluent area in the state but that was all she knew.
"Was that where you went to so early in the morning?", she asked. She had her suspicions already. She knew from last night, Nicole and Lucas were out on a romantic date together and they truly enjoyed themselves and each other's company.
"Maybe she just missed in the early morning and wanted to see him", she thought to herself as she waited for Nicole's answer to her question.
"Yes you
Lucas was back inside his apartment where he saw his brothers standing who had overheard his conversation with Nicole. It was not really a conversation but more of an argument. At first they didn't know what to say to Lucas as he walked in. He had an angry look on his face. He sounded all relaxed in front of Nicole but now she was gone it appears the monster in him was taking over."What are you looking at?!", he said angrily, walking past them."I overheard everything. Your girlfriend was quite loud, it was difficult not to hear your conversation", Mark said."You still referred to Nicole as my girlfriend?"he asked, surprised. His anger seemed to die down a little.
"So what are we to do?", Mark asked concerned. The truth of being exposed was real but this one was much more urgent."I am still thinking about a way out of this", Lucas said. The problem just occurred to him some few seconds ago and so he didn't have an answer ready yet."Lucas, I see you are conflicted for now by your desire not to feed on vampires anymore", Andrew said.He was right, the answer Lucas was seeking to the problem would have been simple if feeding on vampires was an option."You are right", Lucas said. It was a fact he could not deny or sleep under the carpet."I wished I have a simple choice to make in this matter",
Nicole laid down her head to sleep as Angela joined her too. She closed her eyes waiting for the sleep to arrive as she tried not to worry what will become of Lucas and her in the morning."Sorry, I just remembered I forgot to lock the front door", Angela said. She only shut it when they got in but didn't bolt it from the inside or lock it with her spare key."Let me go and lock it quickly", she said, as she attempted to get off the bed."No", Nicole said, as she held onto her by her arm, preventing her from getting off the bed.Angela was surprised she was quick to stop her from locking her front door."Please leave it unlocked", she pleaded.
But sadly he never came."My words must have cut him so deeply", she said, coming to that realization."I didn't really mean it, I was just spurred by a sense of loyalty to my friends and my kind", she said. She knew Lucas was not a monster even though he had done terrible things. He could have killed her in the early hours of today easily if he truly was. But he didn't."If only I had heard him out, if only I had given him a chance to explain, I am sure we would have resolved this", she admitted to herself sadly. She sat there in the living room feeling helpless but she didn't stay alone for too long before Angela woke up and foun
Katharine and Vladimir had set off to accomplish the task given to them by Dracula. They had been assigned to look for a way to call a truce between the vampires and the werewolves. They knew they had been the one to break the relative period of peace between them by attacking the werewolves at their home territory. They knew it was just a matter of time before the werewolves would be seeking for their blood and their revenge. But for now there was peace, the peace of a graveyard, the peace before the storm."How do you plan on achieving this?", Katharine asked Vladimir as they walked along the partially lit road by night. They were headed for an exclusive club where they could relax and get some human blood bags."I wished Cobra or Silas were still alive, this was the sort of thing they enjoyed brainstorming about", Vladimir said. H
Vladimir was the first to go for the bottle of human blood as he easily opened it with his superhuman strength and poured it into his wine cup until it filled to the brim.He also poured some human blood into Katharine's wine cup until it was filled up."Let's say a toast", he said to Katharine, as he dropped the now almost empty bottle."To what exactly", she asked, unsure if they had a worthy event to celebrate."To life!", he said."We are still alive, while a lot of our friends are dead, so we should toast to life!", he said, raising up his glass of blood."Fair enough", Kat
Vladimir seemed surprised."12 human blood bags by one lady, it still doesn't add up", he said."It is impossible for someone to drink that number of blood bags", he insisted."I agree with you, it is literally impossible", Katharine said."I personally think she bought it for others", she said."That is the most sensible conclusion", Vladimir responded. There was no other way it could have been."I think we should take our leave now", he said while getting up."Yes we should, we are well rested", Katharine said in resp
As Vladimir walked into the dancefloor of the club, Katharine quickly caught up with him and they both started walking towards the exit. They couldn't talk while walking through the dancefloor, it wasn't private enough and anybody could overhear their conversation.Outside the club, they now had more privacy to talk."How did it go, what did you find out?", Katharine asked."It went very well, her name is Nicole and she is a sweet girl", Vladimir said."Sweet girl?""Don't tell me you like her already?", Katharine asked."Of course not but she is very likeable and very modest to
