Episode 41

Laura's point of view

I sat in the car with my head against the window, staring outside lost in thoughts as rachael drove me to the diner. If not for rachael who convinced me to go, I wouldn't be on my way there right now even though it was way past the time I was supposed to be there. Mr Sebastian had even called me almost five times just now but I didn't pick up since I was on my way there mainly because I didn't know what to say to him.

Staring, as we drove past the streets onto the highway, I remembered going into my room and leaving the box on the ground after what happened with chris . After a while, rachael came into my room and gave me a long worried stare as I sat at the dresser using my night skincare regimen.

“What is it?”, I asked unbothered by her stare.

“What is it?”, she repeated with a raised eyebrow but I said nothing. “Why aren't you going?”, she asked with a tilted head, standing in the middle of the room.

“Where?”, I asked feigning ignorance to what she meant and
