“What happened next?” I asked, my phone glued to my ears while I pranced back and forth down the halls. I swallowed hard, reeling in every thought of how the entire scenario could have played out.

“Mr sebastain?” She called out my name. I could imagine her seated against her balcony, the laptop on her table, her feet crossed while she leaned into the armchair, her phone strapped to her ears.

"Yes, Laura , you did a good job, and I'll be sure to commend you for it. I'm happy about the progress. I knew you were the perfect one for the job. Imagine if I never had you in charge of what would have happened.” I asked meekly, a faint smile on my face, before I punched myself on the couch.

“Nothing else? That's all?” She asked out of sheer curiosity. I missed her. With each word she said, I pictured it in my head. My eyes were pressed firm, and her soothing voice rang like music to my ears.
