Everyone was silent.

”And then you’d be the strongest, baddest, awesomest pack in the region.” Ashton shrugged.

”Awesomest isn’t a word.” Alison spoke again in a small voice.

Ashton waved her off. “You get what I mean.”

Terry pushed himself off the desk.

”And then what would happen if say, that pack was challenged again?” He asked rhetorically. “You

see, that’s the problem with war, people and werewolves alike are constantly in battle over

something that they both believe in. Blood is shed, lives and property destroyed… all for what? To

prove a point. That’s what happened in the last war we fought.”

”We fought the last war because the Van Cliffes were tyrannical maniacs who wanted to enslave

humans.” Courtney spoke.

”Yes.” Terry spoke. “I’m not saying the war didn’t need to happen, I’m saying if we’re going to be

better, morally, we need to establish ways in which we can solve problems without risking the lives of

many. Without unnecessary blood shed. And that’s a major part of the re
