Maria’s stomach twisted as the screen showed Thea slumped on the grimy, damp floor, her wide eyes filled with helpless terror. Maria’s face blanched as she whispered, "What the hell are they going to do?" One of the seniors stepped forward, a cruel smile twisting her lips. That was the same girl in the cafeteria. “Who do you think you are, ruining my clothes in front of everyone?” she sneered. “Maybe a little reminder of your place will teach you some respect.” "I...I am sorry..." Thea cried out and apologized, but that didn't work at all. It only boosted the girls in front of her. They started, attacking fists and feet raining down on Thea, bruising her arms, her face, and her stomach. Maria’s heart pounded, her breaths shallow as she watched in mounting horror. One girl held Thea down while another yanked scissors from her bag, chopping off handfuls of Thea’s hair with sadistic glee. But the worst came last—a bucket filled with foul, rank liquid poured over Thea’s head, leaving her drenched in humiliation. Maria shot to her feet, trembling with rage. "I’m going to kill those girls!” Her voice echoed across the blood lake, dark and seething with anger. “Princess, please!” one of the elves cried, pulling at her sleeve. “It’s not time yet. The portal… it won’t open now.” Maria gritted her teeth, every fiber of her being seething with the need for vengeance. “Then when? When those monsters decide they’ve had enough?” Her eyes blazed, daring the elves for a better answer. They glanced nervously at each other before one finally spoke. “The portal… it will open when the soul of your host begins to leave her body.” The words struck Maria like a slap. “What?” she breathed, her voice trembling with horror. “Will they kill her?” The elves pointed back to the screen, where the video resumed. Maria’s heart twisted painfully as she watched those cruel girls deliver a final kick to Thea’s stomach before leaving her crumpled on the floor, broken and covered in grime. They lay there, chest heaving, every breath a struggle as she fought through the pain and humiliation. Maria’s claws dug into the edges of the tabloid, her rage barely contained. The elves hovered nearby, terrified she might crush the device in her hands. Slowly, painfully, Thea gathered herself, rising on shaky legs. She stumbled toward the bathroom door, her movements jerky, her body sagging under the weight of her injuries. Maria held her breath, expecting her to head straight for the showers or the dorm. But instead, Thea’s footsteps took her to the stairwell. “No…” Maria whispered, realization dawning on her. The screen showed Thea ascending the stairs, one painful step at a time, her expression blank, as though she were already halfway gone from this world. She reached the rooftop terrace, the wind tousling her ruined hair as she stood at the edge, gazing out over the sprawling school grounds below. “Oh, Devils… she’s going to jump,” Maria breathed, her voice breaking with shock. She could barely stand to watch. Her rage had twisted into something deeper, a pain that gnawed at her heart. In her land of monsters, the sky darkened, an ominous storm gathering as thunder rumbled through the blood-red clouds. Maria could feel the energy pulsing around her, wild and untamed, as her emotions spiraled out of control. They took a deep breath, her body leaning forward. “No!” Maria screamed, her voice tearing through the darkness, a final plea to the universe itself. But before she could react, a brilliant light exploded above her, ripping open a portal in the sky. She felt herself yanked from her world, the elves' voices echoing in alarm as she vanished into the blinding light, hurtling toward Earth and Thea’s falling form. Just before the impact, Maria’s voice was the last thing Thea heard. "Hold on… I’m here." And then, everything went black. Thea jumped off the building, but her body didn't hit the ground; instead, she was lifted in the air by a strong white light. Maria was sucked out of the white light portal. She felt the world around her swirl as she collided with Thea’s consciousness, merging seamlessly into her battered, bruised body. It was as though her very essence had wrapped itself around Thea’s soul, binding them in a fierce, unbreakable unity. Thea's weight pulled Maria to earth, her limbs instinctively bracing for impact. But as she fell, Maria’s supernatural reflexes kicked in, her muscles adjusting, softening the landing. She touched down as light as a feather, her mind buzzing with adrenaline. After swirling in the air with the magical white light surrounding her, she finally landed on the ground. She took a deep, steadying breath and opened her eyes, letting them adjust to her new reality. But when she actually opened them, she was no more that timid girl, Thea. She was Maria, the wild, strong princess of the monster land, Maria Jones. All her wounds were healed, and the stench from earlier was gone, leaving a fresh fragrance of heavenly flowers. The first thing she saw was that group of senior girls walking toward the dorms, giggling shamelessly as though they’d just done something so funny. “Oh my God,” one of them snickered. “Did you see how far that dumbo was...Gosh...what did she eat... the way her mouth hung open? Like some bloated fish!” The other five laughed. “I am sure she will transfer school immediately. Ha ha ha..." "Awe... she stinks like hell....I was afraid the smell would rub off on me,” another added with a shudder. “Though I suppose she’s gotten used to it by now.” They all erupted in laughter, entirely unaware of Maria’s presence behind them. Maria’s lips curled into a dark smile as she listened, her new body sparking with energy. "Hello, bitches...! Nice to meet you again..." she muttered, her eyebrows raising. She knew exactly what she needed to do. She crept along the shadowed hallway, her movements so silent that even the walls seemed to hold their breath. Pausing at a circuit panel on the wall, she reached up, letting her fingers brush against the wires. With a small punch of her power, the circuits burst, plunging the hallway into pitch-black darkness. The girls froze. “Uh… what the hell...what just happened?” one whispered, her voice trembling. “Must be a power glitch,” another muttered. “Relax, you wimps. It’s just the dark.” Maria couldn’t help but grin. Oh, they were going to regret everything that they did...! Every word they’d said. One of the girls fumbled for her phone flashlight, but Maria was faster. She slipped up behind her, whispering in her ear, “Looking for someone?” Then, before the girl could even scream, Maria’s elbow jabbed into her back, sending her sprawling to the floor. She didn't even know who hit her. “What the—?!” another girl shrieked, spinning around in the darkness. Maria reached out, her fingers brushing lightly against her shoulder. “Shh… it’s just me.” The girl’s eyes went wide, and she screamed, flailing in a desperate attempt to escape, but Maria sidestepped effortlessly, using a quick sweep to trip her, sending her crashing down with a loud thud. “Who’s doing this?” one of the remaining girls cried, her voice a frantic squeak. Maria chuckled under her breath. “Fir stinking witches like you I am a ghost. Just a friendly spirit, here to return a few… Favors." She darted between them like a shadow, taking each one down with swift, calculated strikes, barely allowing them a breath to comprehend what was happening. The air filled with startled gasps, yelps, and panicked footsteps as they stumbled and fell, each girl collapsing to the floor one by one. The final girl, the leader of the bullies, was backed into a corner, her breath coming in terrified gasps. “Please… please, I don’t know who you are, but—” Maria stepped closer, her face barely visible in the dark. “You don't know who I am?” she whispered. “I’m the last thing you’ll see when you close your eyes tonight. The memory of every bruise you left on someone who couldn’t fight back.” The girl whimpered, covering her face, cowering in the darkness. Maria smirked, dusting her hands off with an exaggerated flourish, as though brushing away dirt. Maria beat them up but didn't kill them. She broke almost all their bones and left them alive to experience the hellish pain. With one last, satisfied glance at the fallen bullies, Maria turned on her heel, vanishing into the shadows, leaving them quivering with pain in the dark. As she walked away, she murmured to herself, “This really feels good.” Once leaving that place, Maria yawned and looked around. "This land is beautiful...!!" ************Author's point of view.... The next morning, the entire city roared with strange news going viral on the internet. Every single soul in the city was talking about that strange news. "Something unbelievable happened" "Many girls in the senior class section C were beaten so brutally last night. This immediately caused a scandal as most of those girls were from rich families in the town, and shocked all the teachers and students in the school. As this was a scandalous matter school authorities decided to involve police due to parental pressure and to maintain the reputation of the school. Police officers and parents arrived and crowded the administration office. The girls were in no position to say anything about who had beaten them up." The rest of the students wouldn't calm down either, the hectic environment and noise made it hard for them to focus in class. While the entire Morning Star High school was turning upside down, a girl was sleeping soundly on her desk. With her h
Author's point of view... Thea sat on her seat, looking down at her chubby body and sighed. Just using a little strength had caused her to pant. This was so annoying. She was Maria, the princess of the monster land and the strongest monster girl ever born in the entire land. How could she be so weak? In the monster land, no one would dare mess with her because she had exceeded all the levels of martial arts and was the youngest champion so far. But now, she had to endure, living in the body of a host who was only 16 years old, but had a fat body. Thea was 5'3 tall and weighed 72 kgs, quite chubby. This was going to be tough on her. If Maria wants to use her skills and live a better life in this host, she needed to lose weight before she could advance. And to add to it, the skin of this girl, Thea was tanned and her facial features were covered by fat, giving it a round shape like a ball. Maria couldn't help but sigh when she saw herself in the mirror, "She's s
Author's point of view... "It did make some sense, didn't it?" Mr. Yates said with a deep understanding and Dave couldn't help but laugh internally. That girl just now, wasn't she just sixteen or seventeen years old, she easily fooled her teacher and he actually believed her. She was quite brave. "Yes...! I think that too..." Dave replied, amused. Though he didn't believe whatever Thea said, he never doubted a sixteen year old girl could beat up those girls either. Besides, Dave saw those girls from the senior section. They were all grown ups with quite a personality like fighters and Thea was nothing but a chubby girl. How the heck could he even doubt it...! "So, what do you think we should do, officer?" Smacking him out of his chain of thoughts, Mr. Yates asked. "Leave it to us, Mr. Yates, I think some outsiders might be involved in this matter. We are still investigating and soon we will provide you with a good answer" Mr. Yates nodded, gratefully and Dave walked ou
Author's point of view... "Hey..." Dave scoffed, "If that's a joke, you are quite bold at it" Thea returned him the coke she accepted before and started walking away. He hurried behind her. "Mr.Yates believed you because he didn't have anything to reason but do you really think you can just escape from the charges because you were not in the dorm?" Thea paused. So, he was here to investigate. If she leaves now, she will be igniting the fire of suspicion. "What do you mean?" she turned around to see him. He smiled as he stood there with his hands crossed over his chest. "Why don't we continue this while grabbing something to eat? I haven't eaten anything either. I think I saw a restaurant outside your school. Let's go get some chicken tacos for you." Thea was now very annoyed. She exhaled not paying attention to the man "No thanks but can you come to the point directly?" What was his deal? Is this a normal cop behavior? "Get to the point..." he repeated her words
Author's point of view... Looking around, he flung his stick toward Thea with all his might, but she caught it mid-air, jumped down from the fence, and used that same stick to knock him out with one swift strike. "Oh...I didn't see it properly..." Thea said, landing on the ground. Dave's jaw dropped. Isn't she a girl? How did she jump from a wall so high? The gang froze, stunned by her speed and ferocity. Thea, who looked anything but active, moved with a nimble grace, dodging attacks and striking back with precision. It looked as if they weren't fighting but a director had given them all these roles to play along and Thea knew all their moves in advance. Each swing hit its mark, leaving her opponents writhing in pain. She knew exactly where to strike to cause the most agony. "Agh...! I didn't mean it" Every time she moved the stick in her hands, it would beat someone deliberately but she never failed to show her innocence. The thugs were outraged. How could they get
Author's point of view... When Thea returned to the dorm after two hours of late-night study, she found her roommates staring at her as if she’d grown an extra head or something. That was unusual. Because according to the memory of the previous owner of this body, these girls would always bully Thea for no reason. Could it be because of what happened in the class room? Thea thought about it and understood everything. She did threatened Britney and the other girls were like her minions so it's oblivious that they would be terrified with her too. "That's good though..." Thea muttered, pleased for the attention she was receiving right now. As she walked in, Britney, the trouble maker and the most violent one of them, backed away, fear evident in her wide eyes. Thea barely spared them a glance as she strode toward the bathroom, unfazed by their bewildered expressions. She had more pressing matters to tend to than the nervous stares of her roommates. Inside the bathroom, s
Author's point of view... As it was a hot summer day, the classroom was especially stuffy, with only a few large ceiling fans buzzing to stir the heavy summer air. "Gosh...! It's so hot today" Every student was restless, fanning themselves with notebooks and daydreaming of ice-cold drinks because other than being a hot day, it was the day that the marksheet for the previous tests will be given. Amid the heat, where everyone in the class were struggling, Thea sat calmly, her head bowed on the desk. She felt oddly cool compared to everyone else as the place she was from, the monster land, had a very hot climate usually and this place was like a hill station for her. Ren, the class monitor, started distributing the math test papers from yesterday. The students were nervous as their teacher was so strict when it comes to their results. The students who got less than 50 points in maths will be punished. Those who received their papers quickly started comparing answers. Aft
Author's point of view... "What do you think she would do?" one of the students whispered to another. "What else, she will make some stupid excuse for sure..." another chimed in. They shared mocking glances and continued their chatter. But, without giving them a damn, Thea stood up from her seat. Of course, she was lazy but that doesn't mean she wouldn't show her talents to anyone. She had to shut those mouths up. To everyone’s surprise, Thea didn't get bothered by those remarks, instead she got up without hesitation, walking calmly to the podium. Picking up a piece of chalk just like some professional teacher, she began writing two neat rows of calculations on the blackboard, completing the answer effortlessly. Everyone gawked in shock. "What the hell is that??" Her letters floated above their heads. Though she wrote the right calculation, the method she used was the hardest one that anyone had ever used. Finished, she turned to the class with a casual air, rollin
Author's point of view... "Yes, that's the same thing" Mike confirmed and Thea glared at the display. She clenched her fists on her dress. Despite the thin fabric of the dress, her nails dug into her palm. "That...!" she couldn't say anything more. The beautiful red crystal of the locket sparkled and Thea gritted in frustration and disbelief. She never once expected to see that thing in the human world. How could that be? The world seem to be swirling before her until the reality sank in. She slowly understood what exactly might have happened. "That bitch...!" she cursed someone in her mind. That red precious stone on the locket was a piece of her own core crystal, which she lost a long time ago. As Maria, she gave that to her only friend, Sabrina as a gift. A core crystal is as precious as someone's life in the monster land and she was clearly not allowed to give it to anyone. Giving it to someone means splitting their power to half and yet Maria gave her core cry
Author's point of view... "Hello ma'am, Will you pay by card or cash?" the employee following the host stood in forward. Thea didn't know what she should do. Ray immediately stood up and gestured his manager to step forward. He took the card from him and extended it to the employee. The employee didn't take the card but was stunned for a moment, staring at someone behind. "I will pay for her" Thea felt someone hugging her from behind and was dumbfounded. She was sure that it was Ray who was trying to take advantage of her in this kind of situation until she heard that voice. "Dave..." she instantly opened her eyes and turned to look back at him. A surprised smile tugged on her flustered cheeks. "You are here!!" she exclaimed. She was genuinely terrified. It wasn't a situation that she could handle. This entire thing was like a wild ride on a roller coaster. "Sorry I am late..." he whispered into her ears with a smile while he handed over his black VIP card to the em
Author's point of view... Dave walked towards the VIP rooms on the first floor and checked every one of them. He was sure that the hideous figure he just saw was too familiar to ignore. There, in one of those rooms, stood an elegant lady holding a fan that covered half of her face, wearing a pair of sunglasses on her eyes even in that dimly lit room when there was no need for that and a scarf wrapped across her head. Dave sighed. "Mom...! Can you please be more sensible!" Louren giggled but turned away her face, "Young man you got the wrong person..." Dave was speechless. He didn't know what to say. He walked over to her and pulled the fan away from her hands. She laughed. "If you were going to attend this event, why did you force me to come?" he demanded, rather frustratingly. Lauren tilted her head to the other side and frowned, feigning anger. "So what if I attend? Isn't it your duty as a member of the Anderson family to show your face at such huge events?" She s
Author's point of view... Thea opened the mirror in front of the passenger seat and checked herself. Cherry was very good at his work...! She thought. The more she looked at herself, the more she recognized her old face. It was strange that after applying just a little bit of makeup, she was looking like herself, Maria. Did they look alike from the beginning? Dave noticed her puzzled expression and tried to start a conversation. "Ugh, I'll definitely be in the newspaper after today," As if smacking her out of her thoughts, Dave sighed. "Why is that?" Thea asked. Dave shot a quick glance at her direction again and said in a low tone, "There will be many reporters there. I am sure that they'll write that Dave, the richest man in the city has finally brought a mysterious woman as his date to the event" Thea raised an eyebrow. There was a glint of amusement in his eyes. Was he actually stressed? He didn't look like that at all. "After this, my parents will know
Author's point of view... After getting ready, Dave walked out of the male's dressing room. He picked a black color plain suit for himself but even in that simple suit, he looked like a Greek God thanks to his well built body and deadly handsome face. He was about to go check on Thea, to urge Cherry to hurry up when his phone buzzed in his pockets. He took it out and stared at the screen, his handsome face frowned replacing his earlier cheerful expression to an irritated one. "Hello my little boy..." a cheerful voice echoed in his ears but he squinted his eyes shut, in frustration. "Mom..." he bellowed, "Will you please stop calling me that!!" he yelled and Louren giggled in satisfaction. She loved teasing her son, especially when he is angry with her. "I will call you that" she stated, matter of factly, "until you get a girl for yourself, you will be my little boy..." she added in an amused tone. Dave clenched his jaws but was speechless. His mother can be so annoying som
Author's point of view... "Okay, then I'll leave her to you..." Dave walked out of the room to get ready and Cherry escorted Thea towards a seat not far away. This was his personal space where only his VIP clients were allowed and Dave's family was one of his regular clients. "Sit here, kid and please remove that mask of yours off from your face." Cherry said. He dramatically put his hand on his chest and added, "I braced myself. Don't worry I won't panick this time..." Though he was just joking around, his tone was more like mockery. He was an over dramatic and humourous person who can taunt you without being noticed. He laughed and Thea raised her eyebrows. "So...he thinks I am ugly...!Huh??" she thought and smiled to herself, "Let's see what his reaction would be when he sees my real face!" She slowly reached out for the mask and removed it. Cherry was busy arranging everything that was needed for this session, with his back facing Thea. "What products do you
Author's point of view... Thea was taken aback to know Dave's identity. Dave stepped out of the car and opened the front passenger door for Thea. She didn’t care much for formalities and got in without a word. The interior of the car was luxurious and stylish, different from what she had seen before. Dave got into the driver’s seat and started the engine. "By the way, Where are we going?" Thea asked and he hesitated before answering. "A very important charity event..." he said looking ahead. "Charity event!!" Thea exclaimed in shock and looked down at herself. She wore her usual hoodie and paired it with a knee-length skirt. No matter which angle you see from, she doesn't look like someone who attends a charity event. She sighed helplessly. Though she was still a student, at least she would have dressed well if she had known in advance. Looking at her expression, Dave chuckled. “It’s about 5:30 now,” he said as they drove off. “The event officially starts at 6:0
Author's point of view... "Why did you ask him for two days when we already have evidence against her?" Thea asked Mike annoyed by everything. Just recalling Lily's smirking face boiled her blood. Mike yawned lazily and said, "You will get to know" She stepped out of the office room and stomped her foot in irritation. He never gives a proper answer. "You are so annoying. You just don't talk to me anymore...!" She was just about to go to her class when someone grabbed her hand and pulled her away. Out of caution, she twisted that person's hand and was about to flip him over when Aaron finally spoke up. "Thea it's me..." she then looked at him. Mark stood there gawking. "What was that?" he exclaimed in surprise. She was so quick that the boys didn't get the chance to dodge. Aaron opened and closed his hand and twisted back his wrist. "That was painful," He thought. "You were so fast..." his handsome face contorted with pain, yet he complimented her. They walked
Author's point of view...! "What is going on here?" Mr. Yates walked in with two other teachers following him. "Mr. Yates, Thea is bullying Lily..." Serra rushed to him immediately. Mr. Yates looked around. Many of the spectators returned to their classes. His scrutinizing gaze swept across everyone and landed on Thea but he averted them soon. He then looked at Aaron and shook his head. "Aaron, Mark, I never expected you guys will be involved in something like this too..." he looked disappointed. Thea wanted to scoff, something like this!! "Mr. Yates, it's not..." Mark wanted to explain but was cut off as Mr. Yates added, "Alright... Alright... whatever it is, that could wait. It's time for the examination. We will discuss everything after the examination in the office room" he said dismissively. Thea controlled the urge to roll her eyes. He clearly knew what was happening and was dismissing them all just to hide something. "Mr.Yates" Thea spoke out but Mr. Yat
