Alpha Herveaux’s POV.
“Do you want to change your mind, Alpha Herveux?” Fernando asked me. I wasn’t changing a thing. I was sure of that scent. It wasn’t that man. That man was just a mere distraction to stop me from following that strong scent I heard.
“We will go ahead with our plans” I said to Fernando. I wanted to meet with a strong sorcerer. He was once an elder in the Sun Valley pack.
He left angrily after an undisclosed dispute between he and his people. “Do you know how we can find him?” I asked Fernando. “Yes, Alpha, I just feel you should let Luna Rudina know about it”. He responded.
I am free to do things on my own and she might misinterprete me also. “Why don’t we wait for the prophecy Alpha Herveuax?” Fernando asked. I knew he cared about my status, but now, my reputation is at stake.
“I have to prove everyone wrong that my father was wrong about making me the Alpha”, I said to Fernando angrily.
“We are here, Alpha” Fernando said, he stopped the car at a dead point with no house in sight or even a hut. “No one is here Fernando. Are you sure this is the location?” I asked him.
“Yes sir, I carried out the assignment you gave me accurately” he replied. Fernando got down from the car. He knocked on the grass. It made me chuckle a bit. To my amazement, the grass parted way and we entered it.
“Why are we waiting?” I asked him anxiously. I was beginning to find the journey interesting. “According to the man that brought me here. As long as the door opens up, we should definitely meet him here”, Fernando said. “Where is the man?” I asked him.
“The man we are here to see?” he asked me. “No, the man who brought you here!” I replied aggressively. Everyone, especially Fernando, should know how I hate repeating or explaining myself.
“He’s dead!” “That’s great, I want no stones unturned” I said to him pleasingly.
“Are you here to see me?” A strange cold voice whispered in the air. “How dare you! Show up this moment” I commanded.
“I’m sorry Beloved Alpha” he appeared. He had long white hair, and he did look like the perfect description of a renowned but literate sorcerer.
“To what do I owe the visit?” He asked. “Will I stand and talk out here?” I asked him. “You are just as they have said” he replied, smiling.
“For the main time, you are welcome. Only you can come with me” He said, asking Fernando to wait outside. “Why? I am his Beta and I must stay with him”, Fernando insisted. “Don’t be so full of yourself, I might believe the rumors that the Alpha is weak!” He said to Fernando. It angered me. I could feel Tristan wanting to tear out in a rage. “Calm down boy!” He said smiling to me. “I like your unity!” He said. “Those words sent me down my memory lane. Only my father addressed me and tristant at the Unity”.
“Leave Fernando, I have no time to waste”. Fernando left at once.
“What you seek answers to is right before you but you chose to turn a blind eye” he said, without even listening to my request.
“Do you know the questions I seek answers for?” I asked him. “Yes, I do. But for every question there is a time it's answer is destined to come and that time cannot be changed,”he replied coldly.
“The prophecy cannot be changed?” I laughed scoffing his words. “I became the Alpha defying the so-called prophecy” I said, mocking him. “What happened with you was different, Alpha Herveaux,” he said to me.
“In time you will understand!” He added. “Will my brother return?” I asked him.
“I see, that’s the main reason you are here and not because of Ashina.” He laughed. Guess it was his own turn to mock me.
“You perceived his scent also?” He asked me. “Yes, in the woods a few days ago,” I replied, standing up from my seat. I was ripped with anxiety.
“The prophecy cannot be changed. Alpha herveuax” he replied me. “Why did you leave the sun valley pack?” I asked him.
“I have just one rule and you broke it, Alpha Herveuax. I’m afraid you must leave”. He said to me calmly but I knew it annoyed him.
“Or just like me, your answer would come too?” I mocked him again.
“Laugh all you can. I am not scared of you. You came to me for a reason. Your past has come to hurt you!” He said to me.
The walls were shacking and the ground was cracking. “I am not here for a fight or to kill you! You were of no help to me. I will return”, I said to him, ready to exit his place.
“The one you see is right there with you. You will decide your own fate, Alpha Herveux!” he shouted. I went back outside into the thick shrubs. I saw Fernando discussing with a man.
“Who is he?” I asked him passively. “This is Falcón! He owns this place.” He looks so much like the man inside”.
“He is my brother the sorcerer”. He replied smiling at me. “Well, your brother is not up to task, he was way below his recommendation”, I said to Falcón.
“I’m sorry he couldn’t meet up to your desires. Please accept my apologies”, he said, and bowed to me. I saw a weird sign on his head. It disappeared as soon as he stood up.
“Take me to the Great Alune. I need to speak with her!” I said to Fernando. “Yes, Alpha Herveuax”, Fernando replied. “Aren’t you interested in seeing what the future holds for you?” Falcón asked Fernando.
“No, my future is already slated. I am the Beta!” He replied Falcón.
***************************************
“I have been expecting you, Beloved Alpha,” She said to me restively. “What do you seek?” “You hardly show up here unless you need something from me”, She added.
“I am the Alpha. Do I need permission before I see you?” I asked her bracingly. “NO Alpha. You own me”, she replied.
“What does the prophecy say?” I asked her. “The present? The past or the future?” She asked me, shying away from me.
Great Alune was old and stricken with age. She must have lived for like ten thousand years. She always returned a hundred years younger after the prophecy.
“The moon goodness will pick a Luna for you?” Is that what you seek to know?” She asked me. “Stop pretending, we both know the truth”, I replied her.
“You went against the rules!, Alpha Herveuax.” “Yes I did, it was worth it” I replied, shaking the golden statue. “Don’t touch it. You must respect everything that tells us about our past”, she shouted.
“You destroyed my past. I won't let you do that to my present”, I said to her. “When you leave this time after the prophecy, Don’t dare come back”, I threatened her.
Great Alune laughed. “You can’t kill me, Beloved Alpha. I still belong to you” she replied confidently.
“You watched Ashina die, didn’t you?” I said, walking close to her. She was moving back. “I will go to any length to see that justice is served” I said to her.
“I am not on your side, neither am I against you.” “If that is what you seek. Your brother will be back!” her voice echoed as she replied to me.
Great Alune’s words ached me hardly. I wanted to destroy the place. “I couldn’t let her get to me. I did nothing wrong.”
“Did you get anything from her?” Fernando was inquisitive. “No” I replied. Whatever happens stays with me.
“I told you Beloved Alpha. Believing those people is pointless”.
“I felt his presence, Fernando” “He will be back”, I said to Fernando. He hit the brakes in a rush. The car came to an abrupt stop right there in the middle of the rope.
“No, That’s Impossible!” He shouted.
Samantha’s POV.I had a very long day. Daciana was no help either. She stalked me like a hawk with the help of Sheila. “Leave Everyone! The Alpha has returned!” I saw everyone hiding or going into a room and closing the door. I wanted to watch and see what was happening. “He’s so handsome”, Sheila said. I didn’t notice she had followed me to where I hid so I could see Alpha Herveux. “Hi, I’m Sheila” She stretched her hands to me for an obvious handshake. “I know who you are, stop stalking me!” I accepted her handshake warmly with a disgusting facial appearance, that should let her know I didn’t want her around me. She rolled her eyes at me and closed the door. I forgot I was hiding. I stepped out through the other side just to bump into Alpha Herveuax. I was so scared. “I am sorry. It wasn’t intentional” Fernando saw me. “I know you from somewhere”, he said to me. My heart was racing, “Please don’t tell him, I am a slave”, I begged him in my head. “Yes, she's the same woman from th
THE SHADOW FORGE CLAN.Alpha Draglun’s POV.“You are no match for Alpha Herveaux” Lowell, the youngest Alpha and the leader of the, winter moon pack, said to me. I had invited him to help me fight Herveaux. Or overthrow him as the supreme leader of the whole Pack. “Is it because of your woman?” Lowell asked, chuckling as he spoke. “Get Over Daciana. Alpha Herveux has her rounded in between his palms. She rubs it on your face whenever she gets the chance”. Lowell was right. Dacaiana rejected me as her mate. She was destined to be mine, I just know it. Unlike every other person, I was free to choose my mate. All my friends envied me for that, but destiny had other plans. The only woman I and my wolf ever loved wasn’t in love with me. “Why does it have to be Alpha Herveaux? WHY!” I shouted, throwing the cup of wine on the wall. “Get over your obsession with that woman. You can invite when you want to take on Alpha Herveaux like a real Lycan and not because of a mere woman!” “I am n
THE SUN VALLEY PACK.Luna Rudina’s POV.I felt really good today. The atmosphere was conducive too. I am looking forward to the Moon goddess visitation. A new prophecy might just turn everything around for good.I walked in the garden, observing the growth of the flowers. Ashina grew them for me, adding to it, every year on my birthday. “I miss you Ashina.” I said, sniffing deep into the flowers. “Your daughter is here, Luna!” I felt butterflies in my tommy. I wasn’t expecting anyone today, not even her. She hasn’t been home in years. “To what do I owe this visit? You haven’t stepped your feet in here since you fought against our clan.” “I still see you as my aunt. I just felt bad you chose to side with Ashina, over me!” Dacaiana was very promising before she clocked eighteen few years ago. I still remember that night till today. The night, Alpha Herveaux’s Luna was chosen. It brought us joy and great sadness. “Do you know Auriel?” She asked me. “Is that why you are here?. I thou
Samantha’s POVWhen the so-called prime left, after asking me a question I couldn’t answer or dared not answer, I was so relieved. “Who’s side are you on?”What does she expect me to say? Hers or Alpha Herveaux? “ None of you!”. I am here for something else and I will face that squarely. This house was haunted. I have never heard a full time rest or sleep since I came in here. “Get ready, Our Beloved Alpha needs your presence at this moment!” My heart skipped, I could feel it come to my mouth. “What!” “You heard me, come this moment! The Alpha doesn't Wait!” Such arrogance, just like his subjects. I wondered why he wanted me. I just left his place by a narrow escape and now this?I walked briskly and very fast to the front of the door, just for me to open the door and then my hands weren’t cooperating with me, I suddenly felt that fear again. “Come In!” He thundered from inside. “How did he see me through the door? I hate whatever he is!” I clutched the door open. “Wear this fast
Alpha Herveaux. POV.Everything was going as planned until Fernando told me about that impromptu meeting. Daciana had left the mansion without telling me. I had to go with another woman. I felt Auriel would fit in as she was neutral to everyone in there. “What would you do when you saw him?” Fernando asked as we drove off to the meeting.“I would try my best to keep my cool”, I replied him briefly. I knew it was very impossible. It was followed by total silence until we arrived. I could see Auriel was uncomfortable, she found it hard keeping up with me, it was the same when I watched her undress, she had to get used to it. Bringing her in front of these people means a lot of responsibility for her. She seemed so clueless. Where all these season ispast I would look up on her background.I saw Derrick. Its been years. I don’t hate my brother but destiy had us fated against each other. I had to push him off as he was about to seat on my throne.I ended up challenging him. I could have a
Samantha’s POV.“Thank you, I was just scared of nothing else” I answered him, his voice was way different from his appearance. “May I know you?” He asked humbly with a smile. “I am Sam…… Ah. My name is Auriel” I replied, smiling. I still haven’t gotten used to the name change. I almost blurted out that my name was Samantha.“Nice to meet you, beautiful Auriel. Call me Drauglun”. He held my hands and shook me softly. The name rang a bell and it clicked almost immediately. How could I have forgotten the Alpha with the scarred face and two different colours in his eyes? “Why are you here? I know you're not a luna?” He asked calmly. “I came with someone” I replied him. “That’s great, I hope, I would see you around”, he winked at me and left. I got out of the rest room and realized I had made a mistake. The rest room was for men. “Damn…. Be careful next time, Samnatha!” I said to myself. I went to the women’s rest room. I heard two women talking from a distance. The door to their spot
Daciana’s POV.The room was dark just as I loved it. It'd been years and I hardly saw myself coming back in here. It's filled up with memories of me and Ashina. Just a simple self-control would have saved me, I hate to admit, but if Ashina was there. Things would have been different. I have no regrets about her death. A sudden array of light flashed in my eyes as Luna Rudina opened the window. “It’s enough, You’ve locked yourself up since yesterday. Have your bath and eat” She said. “I thought I made it clear to you all that I don’t want any one in here!” I shouted. “If you want me to leave your palace, I would do so gladly”, I added. I could see my mother's glowing up's face changed into sadness. “I’m sorry”, she closed the door behind her. “What do I do?” I know Alpha Herveaux would be really mad at me. I didn’t know what came over me. I just lost control of myself. “Did you say you lost control?” Luna Rudina asked me. “I thought you had already left when I asked you to!” I excla
Samantha’s POV The rays of the colorful sunlight flashed brightly into my eyes. It's already morning. I guess I slept so well the sun had to wake me up. To think of how warily my day went, I wasn’t expecting such a good sleep to follow. It must have been the influence of that wolf. I whisked away the covering cloth from my body. The cold that filled the atmosphere had disappeared. The wolf behaves mysteriously but I have been with Cervantes, so it’s no big deal. His last word before we departed last night pricked me though. When I asked him about his human form, “Some things are better left unknown” he replied aptly. “What would today bring for me? I hope it's good”. I washed my smutted face in the water. Glaring at the image of myself in the mirror. “It would be worth it Samantha, in a few times now you will go back to your self, that blond, bright and happy woman you have always been”. I was used to talking to myself. It was my greatest company. Today wasn’t any different. I w
SAMANTHA’S POV. ONE YEAR LATER. His broad hand drew me into his arms with a tight hug that i felt in my soul. "Happy birthday, my beloved Luna," his coarse, seductive voice whispered in my ears."Hmmm," I heaved, still pretending to be asleep. He placed a small box beside me. "I want to go to the bath; will you join me? I know you’re awake," he uttered. He took off his clothes, and I fell in love with him all over again. It was my birthday again, a day I have regretted and wished never came just because of that unforgettable night. Alpha Herveaux changed that. It became a day I now look forward to."So what’s my first gift?" I asked him jokingly. "Me!" he coerced seductively. "What else can I ask for? Can I have you now?" I can’t wait to see his expression when he finds out I am pregnant with his child. "That night a few months ago, I thought you left; I would have been miserable without you. Thank you, Samantha," he uttered as he made out with me.He carried me down to
ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV.I rolled to the other side of the bed, expecting a push or a sound, but none was forthcoming; Auriel had left. It sent me a bewildering, intense feeling of sadness that swept all my happiness away."Don’t be sad; she probably went for the kill; only she can defeat Falcon," I consoled Tristan. If it turns out otherwise, then I’ll just go with the flow. I am back to full strength. Before Sunrise reveals its glory, I will go and defend the city. It won’t go down with me alive. She left the clothes she had picked out for me to wear at the extreme edge of the bed. She still cares, but maybe as a friend and not as my Luna. The clothes seemed like camouflage. There was no way I could hide without getting spotted or noticed; it was pointless hiding or wearing camouflage. I got dressed and was ready for the kill. I stepped out, and a smile returned to my face when I saw the moon. I growled. It meant she was still around. "I hope she sees me before leaving," I wished o
SAMANTHA’S POV. My heart fluttered watching him sleep soundly like a baby. His heart was beating slowly, and his face had a mild smile. "I am his peace," I muttered, blushing uncontrollably. "I’m sorry, my love, I’ll have to leave before you wake up. Just let’s stay alive all through. I really can’t decide now." I whispered and kissed him goodbye.I didn’t care if I would make it or not, but my love for him and his children was driving me to my peak."Avayah, Valerie, we are going to find Falcon and kill him. Easy, right?" I asked them jokingly. I tiptoed out of Ashina’s house so Herveaux would continue his sound sleep. The only place on my mind where I felt I could find Falcon was at Derrick’s mansion, the same place where Alpha Herveaux was held hostage. The mansion was miles away from the house. I wondered what made Ashina come this far and live there alone; not even Herveaux knew of the place. "Thank you, Avayah; you led me there, right?" I shifted like a pro as I ra
ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV.The wavering sounds of the waters at the sea stirred my eyes to open and my soul to awaken. Still in pain, I struggled to get up on my feet. "Hey, just lie down there; you’re still hurt."The voice I had always wanted to hear spoke to me. I beamed with a smile and fell back onto the bed. She hurried up to meet me."Herveaux, are you with me?" She asked worriedly, holding my hands. She placed my hand on her face. It still felt like a dream. I never knew she’d return to me. Especially now that I needed her the most."Samantha?" I murmured tiredly. "Yes, it’s me; I am here," she responded. My hands found her blonde hair, and I flicked them away from her face. "You’re beautiful," I said to her, smirking."I know there is no time to waste; tell me what to do; how can I heal you?" she asked instantaneously. She dragged me up the wall so I could rest my back. "Where is this place?" I asked anxiously. I had never been there, and it was pleasant. "It Belonged to
SAMANTHA’S POV. Gwendolyn helped me pack my bags. She was skeptical about it at first, then I was the one eager to leave."Will you tell your father about it first? Have you made any plans?" She asked me carefully. "None for now. I have been trying to call Alpha Draglun, but he isn’t responding. Do you think he’s also caught in this?" I asked her concernedly. "Keep calling, he might answer before you get there. Your father is not home right now. I will just tell him when he returns," Gwendolyn responded impatiently. I sat down on the bed tiredly. "Why are you acting like this?""Don’t tell me you’re backing out or having second thoughts, okay let’s do this, if the thing get out of your control, just say goodbye and come back to us, how about that?" Gwendolyn asked. Gwendolyn was done packing my bags. She collected the cellphone from me and put it inside. "So how do you get there? You’re not going by car, right?" she asked confusedly, and it made me blush. "Partly by ca
ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV. The dangers of the night were out; the whole place was dark and sneaky. Not a single soul was around. The whole place was dark, and the absence of the moon didn’t go unnoticed. For once, I doubted the information Brenda gave me. It came so easily; just a few minutes after she left me, she returned overhead and came to me. "I don’t mind; I have no other choice," I said loudly to myself to stop the non-stop pondering in my mind. I checked the whole area. The woods, underneath, and even the sea that was nearby, but there is no sign of anyone there. "I will wait a while and leave if no one shows up," I coerced. I checked the paper she gave me again. "It’s here; I definitely am in the right place. Where are you hiding my children, Falcon?" I whispered, still searching. "Right here!" he responded with a wild roar. He threw Miranda’s body down from the tree. "Damn you, Falcon, I knew it!" I groaned painfully. She was still alive but writhing in pain."Don’t wor
SAMANTHA’S POV. He was dressed in the prisoner’s uniform. It suits him really well. "I still can’t believe I once liked men that looked like him," I whispered into Gwendolyn’s ear."You’ve said that before, okay? Thanks to Herveaux, you got to know there were better men than he was," she snapped.Lorenzo was called up, and he was sitting right in front of me. He was sad and teary. "I will have my revenge, Lorenzo; I really can’t wait to crush you and end your life; no one will save you from me," I said to him."I will take whatever punishment you give me; please spare my wife and our innocent baby," he pleaded with me. He fell on his feet and held onto my legs.I kicked him off angrily. "The police, you can’t assault him," Gwendolyn pulled me back."Dummy, I tipped them off; I am Samantha Eduardo!" I replied, laughing loudly, and continued kicking him. "I will kick them out of that house and throw them into the streets. You did the same to my innocent father, so why can’t I do th
ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV.Fernando fought against me with all his might, and I realized he wouldn’t stop until he was dead. I stopped fighting him. "I did you no wrong! I need to go save my children. I will kill you this time if you attack me again," I said to him."No, you will have to go through me!" he growled wildly. "You’re not in control Fernando, you can still get yourself back; I don’t want to kill you," I pleaded, ready to give up everything. It hurt so much to see the man who raised you like a father ready to kill you. I know he wasn’t as powerful as I was, but living with the guilt of killing him would be hard on me. "I forgive you for everything you’ve done against me, even though you think I was the one who offended you!" I yelled. "You were ready to choose another Beta and shamefully disperse me; you never trusted me; you handed over the throne to your brother; you could have promoted me to Alpha!" he grunted. It sounded so odd. I never knew he wanted to become Alp
SAMANTHA’S POV. I snuggled my body meekily under the tender, silky cover on my bed. My back ached so bad, but it’d turn into a soothing pain as I starched on the bed.My normal routine before sleeping started, whereby I had to think about every disgusting thing I did that day and even years ago, blame myself, praise myself a little, and have a mixture of regrets."Did I do the right thing with Alpha Draglun?"I shunned him. I could have just said NO politely, but I said it in a rage. I just hope he understands that I don't want that life anymore. Alpha Herveaux is the strongest man I know, and I believe he can fight off whoever threatens his pack. Moreover, He places it on a high pedestal, so he’ll never watch it fall."I just hope my thoughts are right," I said, thinking out loud. Like usual, I fell asleep without knowing it; all I knew was that I felt peaceful with a great ache in my heart that I refused to acknowledge.I felt a soft, hairy hand on my face. "Alpha Herveaux,"
