THE SUN VALLEY PACK.

Luna Rudina’s POV.

I felt really good today. The atmosphere was conducive too. I am looking forward to the Moon goddess visitation. A new prophecy might just turn everything around for good.

I walked in the garden, observing the growth of the flowers. Ashina grew them for me, adding to it, every year on my birthday. “I miss you Ashina.” I said, sniffing deep into the flowers. 

“Your daughter is here, Luna!” I felt butterflies in my tommy. I wasn’t expecting anyone today, not even her. She hasn’t been home in years. 

“To what do I owe this visit? You haven’t stepped your feet in here since you fought against our clan.” 

“I still see you as my aunt. I just felt bad you chose to side with Ashina, over me!” 

Dacaiana was very promising before she clocked eighteen few years ago. I still remember that night till today. The night, Alpha Herveaux’s Luna was chosen. It brought us joy and great sadness. 

“Do you know Auriel?” She asked me. “Is that why you are here?. I thought you came to see me?”  

I knew Dacaiana was still mad at me and all her people. She felt we had betrayed her. “Do you still blame us?” 

“Its in the past. I don’t want to go over it Mother!” she shouted at me. “You just called me mother” I mentioned smiling at her. 

“Enjoy it. That would be your last! You left me helpless the day I needed you the most”.

“Another might take your throne soon…………..… Daciana come back home.” I moved near my daughter. She drifted back away from me. 

“You wanted what was never yours. How would I have helped?” 

“Lies, mother! Lies!” 

“Father went ahead to mark you as his mate even though you weren’t chosen by the moon goddess”

“What happened with I and your father was different!” It turned into an argument within I and Daciana. 

“What do you want, just take it and leave!” I have tried my best with Daciana. “Did you kill Ashina?” I asked her. 

“Who do you love the most, Rudina? Me or Ashina?” . 

“I have a meeting to attend”. I felt tears running down my face. I raised both my niece and my daughter. They became best of friends. 

“I am coming with you!” She said harshly. 

The ride there was silent and lonely. I have longed to meet my daughter. She’s here now but I can’t even hold her. “Don’t you care to know who would take your place as the new Luna?” 

“No Rudina, I only care about the next Luna for Alpha Herveaux” she grumpily replied. 

“I am helping Alpha Herveeux solve his murder case, are you aware?” She appeared to be interested in all I had said, until I mentioned Herveaux. 

“No! Why YOU?” She asked me. “He trusts me!” 

“Will you tell him the truth when you find out?” she asked me keenly. 

Ashina was an angel. She couldn’t harm an animal, she also loved humans, which all werewolves hated. She acted like something different from all of us. My daughter was right. I loved Ashina more.

 It was after the prophecy, when both of them were born the same day. She was destined to become the Luna. 

I misinterpreted it. I thought it would be that of our clan but it wasn’t. It was for the Lycan’s Prowler pack.

“Who is Auriel?” I went back to her question. “She is this new maid Alpha Herveaux employed”.

“Is there anything about your present that doesn’t have to do with Alpha herveaux?” I said to her sadly.

“Are you helping or not?” She questioned me. “What do you want?” 

“I have a question. That’s necklace you gave me and Ashina. Do you have Ashina’s?” 

I gave both of them a necklace when they were little, but the necklace had a more powerful meaning and hidden power. Only a true sorcerer can awaken its full potential. 

“Yes, I do.” I replied her. “Are there more of it? Or it's just two?” Dacaiana seemed so interested in this necklace. 

“I can’t really remember, but the third one was lost centuries ago. It’s now history”, I said those words just so she wouldn’t ask further questions. 

The third necklace was well and alive. 

“How did she get it?” Dacaiana asked me. “Who? You mean that girl you mentioned, Auriel?” I asked her. “Yes Rudina, She has a necklace similar to mine and Ashina’s.” 

That is strange, the necklace has been lost and kept secluded for two centuries ago. “I have to meet someone. He might have answers to my questions” I said to her. “Do you want to come along?” 

“No, just do whatever you want. You know how to relay the message back to me” Daciana replied balefully.

We got to the meeting. “It doesn’t seem like an impromptu to me” Daciana muttered as she walked in among the crowd. 

Alpha Lowell hit his glass cup with a spoon. “What does this kid, full of himself, have to say?” Dacaiana said out loud, knowing he might just hear her. 

“The impromptu message for this meeting had a positive turnout. So bad the man it concerned the most isn’t around” Lowell said, laughing. 

“Spill Alpha Herveux!” Alpha Draglun shouted within the crowd. “Pathetic attention seeker!” Dacaiana said. I don’t know why she hated Draglun. 

”Dacaiana, I need to find a place to sit!” I said to my daughter. To my surprise, she followed me to my seat. 

“I see you Luna Rudina! The only Lioness in our Den!” Lowell called me out. 

“Go straight to the point! We have no time to waste! Why was this meeting called?” Alpha Adolph of the Shape shifters Clan attacked Lowell. He wasn’t a party to their heinous schemes. 

“I’m sorry, oldman. We love to talk and play”. He responded, making fun of the man. 

“As we all know, The Moon goddess would come and pay us a visit once again after the last season” The whole crowd gave a cheer. 

“Prophecies are about to be fulfilled! The people who felt they are lucky would be put in their place!” Lowell said, smirking as he spoke. 

“The real leader of the Lycan’s prowler Pack has returned!” The crowd were chattering and murmuring. 

“Going against Alpha Herveaux would cost you a lot of things. I promise you!” Dacaiana said. 

“We all know the leader of The Lycan’s prowler pack and that is Alpha Herveaux!” I finally stood up and talked. 

“I love you, Luna Rudina, but you’re wrong!” 

“We have a new leader!” 

“That’s the main importance! A new Supreme Leader!” Alpha Lowell laid more emphasis on the world. 

“Don’t start what you cannot finish!” Alpha Adolph interrupted Lowell’s speech again.

“Is Herveueax coming here?” I asked Daciana, who looked so restless. “No, he didn’t tell me he was coming. What we discussed was different.” 

“Everyone Welcome Our New Supreme Leader…………… Derrick!” 

A man stood up to be identified. He was built just like Alpha Herveaux walked in. He had his eyes and everything. The only difference was his hair and this man had lots of scars on his body.

“That’s impossible. He has been demoted to the post of an omega and he’s even a lone wolf!” Alpha Adolph attacked them both. The whole crowd watched in awe. 

“Yes, a lone wolf!" 

"You left out that fact that I am one lone wolf that is strong enough for any one ready to challenge me!” 

He said, growling aggressively at Alpha Adolph. 

“Come take your seat Derrick!” Lowell said to him. 

“Don’t you dare!” 

Alpha Herveaux Thundered. His yellow eyes were now red. I could see the Unity fixing into one. 

The whole place was in disarray followed by an incredible atmosphere of total silence.

“I thought you said he wasn’t coming?” I asked Dacaiana, who appeared to be as surprised as I was. 

“He didn’t come alone. He is with a woman!” Dacaiana said angrily, breaking the cup in her hands as she fisted her fingers together. 

“That’s the same girl! The one I told you about!” Dacaana said. I could feel her wolf taking over her body. She was shaking violently. 

“How dare he?” Dacaiana asked. 

“Calm down. Ask him at least.”

“Auriel! I will kill you!” Daciana shouted grievingly, transformed mysteriously in the midst of the crowd.
