Aurora is taken aback by the warm hugs and the warm welcome that everyone gives her. Everyone was just so glad and relieved to find out that she was alive. She did not expect that there were such people who actually cared about her death. She thought when she died, nobody could care less about her. She just found out today that there were many people out there who genuinely cared about her. These kind Lunas who were looking at her with solace in their eyes were people she only met once before at the Werewolf Assembly. Yet, they were all heartened to see her alive. Aurora felt comforted to know that there were others aside from her own Pack and family who genuinely cared about her. Aurora gave them all a small smile, their kindness made her lost for words. Just as how Aurora had arranged for their special dinner, the Alphas, and Lunas are separated to their own tables. Sebastian is assigned to eat with the Alphas and entertain them, while Aurora is left to eat with the Lunas and ta
Aurora smiled back playing along with Celia. She knew that even though she was smiling and laughing like that, there was no way she didn’t feel troubled inside her heart. The thing with Celia, she had always underestimated her. She is the beta’s daughter, the most powerful woman in the Pack next to Luna, who was Raven for her to get scared of her? Just because of her status, she thought she could get away with everything and get all that she wanted. Now that her enemy turned out to be stronger than her, a sister of an Alpha, Celia fell in denial. It was hard for her to accept that somebody would turn out more powerful than her, especially Raven. Aurora stared at Celia with seething hate in her eyes. After all the evil things she had done against Raven, there was no hint of remorse in her. In the five years that Raven was gone, Celia got what she wanted. Aurora thought that it would teach Celia a lesson. She thought it would make her realize that being a Pack’s Luna is not worth bet
Lorcan and Celia hadn’t slept a wink the whole night. Their minds were deeply bothered until they realized that the time had already passed by and the sun had already risen up. As werewolves that are much stronger than average, skipping a night of sleep did not have much effect on them. Anyone could look at them and no one would think they were stressed and bothered that they were unable to sleep that night. At breakfast, Celia tried to mingle with the other Lunas still wearing another turtlenecked shirt that covered her neck which only emphasized what she was covering, and placed attention on her neck even more. Still, it would be better to just have it covered than to expose her festering zombie skin. The Nightshade Pack has a unique way of serving today’s breakfast. It is self-service with a huge buffet in front. It reminded her of school cafeterias. Only, they have a wide variety of food to choose from, and every meal is special and well thought out. From fruits, oatmeal, and c
Celia chewed on her bottom lip as she sat on their room’s bed, staring past through the open window. She watched the tree leaves swaying outside with the wind, as she scratched on her neck wound again with dried blood and pieces of thin skin stuck underneath her nails again. When the door to their room finally opened, Celia suddenly stood up and turned around. She stormed to Lorcan’s side with her nostrils flaring. “Where the fuck were you?!” Celia snarled at him. Lorcan ignored him. Instead, he turned to his things to get what he came here for. Irritated by his response, Celia pushed him by his shoulder forcing him to look at her. “Why are you ignoring me? Did you talk to her? Have you already reconciled with Raven behind my back?”Lorcan glared at Celia feeling disrespected that she had pushed him. However, Celia is so angry that she couldn’t care less about it. Celia scoffs. “Have you forgotten that she was the person who left you? She lied to you and faked your death. She does
Celia kept her mouth shut as if remaining silent would get her out of trouble. She looked at Lorcan with pleading eyes as she silently begged him to stop. “L-Lorcan, please just believe me,” Celia pleaded, but Lorcan wasn’t moved by her tears. Lorcan shook his head, he had so many doubts. It is hard for him to trust Celia by just her mere words. Even though Celia is in tears and is begging him to believe her, somehow he’s still not convinced that she’s telling the truth. Before, Lorcan used to trust Celia much more than he trusted himself. He believes her, even when she contradicts his logic. Now that he’s no longer infatuated with Celia, his feelings don’t cloud his judgment of her anymore. He could now see her in a new light. He could finally discern him intellectually and not emotionally. Her tears don’t cloud his judgment anymore, and he no longer believes her lies as easily as he used to. “If you had done nothing wrong, then things would be fine if I asked the Pack Doctor abo
Making the decision to go back to the Moonvalley Pack was hard for Aurora. Even Sebastian doesn’t agree with her decision to go back there. Sebastian hated everybody in the Moonvalley Pack, all the people who tormented her sister lived there. He doesn’t like the idea of her sister staying there with them again. However, Aurora had already decided and in the end, she was able to convince Sebastian to give her permission. Aurora owes a lot to Luna Savina. She couldn’t forget the time when Luna Savina took care of her personally when she nearly died of Lorcan’s rejection. Their Pack has so many omegas and Pack Doctors who could help her heal, but Luna Savina never left her side until she recovered. Aurora wants to bring back that same kindness that Luna Savina has shown her. She also wants to meet her again and show her that she’s alive. Just like what Lorcan said, for sure Luna Savina would be happy to see her alive once again. Aurora’s not sure how long she’s going to stay there.
Ruston’s tears shrunk back when he saw Lorcan staring at him. His eyes which were filled with tears stared openly at his father whom he had never met before.Lorcan is speechless, his gaze connected with the little boy. Even though there was no confirmation yet, he couldn’t deny the connection he felt with him.Even his wolf turned restless the moment he laid eyes on the little boy.Ruston’s tight grip around his mother loosened as Lorcan stole his full attention.Aurora’s heart lurched when she saw Lorcan’s intense gaze on her son. She instinctively held Ruston and covered his face away from Lorcan’s sight hoping that he wouldn’t know the truth.Lorcan’s gaze turned to her after she did that. However, Raven did not face him. She stared straight ahead, averting his gaze from Lorcan while protectively covering Ruston with her arms like she was afraid that he would steal him away from her.
While Lorcan is enjoying his family reunion and connecting with his sons, Celia suddenly walks out of the car to interrupt their family moment. She knew if she was not going to come out and interrupt them, then things might get ugly for her. With a blank emotion on her face, she casually removed her sunglasses and folded them into her pocket. “Aren’t we going to leave?” Celia asked everyone flippantly. Celia is not blind, for sure she could see Lorcan hugging two boys in his arms. For sure she is not deaf either. She must have heard everything that had happened while she was inside the car. She just doesn’t care at all. The only thing she feels at all is annoyance towards the presence of Raven’s presence. They are supposed to be dead, but not only did she fail to kill Raven, but she also failed to kill at least just one of her sons. Ruston and Selwyn slowly turned around to look at Celia who just spoke. Although Celia is curious to see what they look like, she couldn’t bring her e
