"Well then find out who did it!" William barked at one of his employees.
He squeezed his stress ball at his desk. He found out someone was stealing from the company. "Can you get Oliver in here!" He yelled as his employee was leaving.
Moments later Oliver walked in. "Hey man, did someone shove a stick up your ass or something?"
William stood up and walked to the window. He was on the 56th floor. He loved looking out the window. Oliver joined him at the window. "There's a couple of thousands missing. Someone has slowly been taking money."
William couldn't let anything happen to the business. Both he and Oliver had worked so hard to have the company where it was and he wasn't going to let some employee he probably hasn't even met ruin it for him. It was a big company so he had no idea who ran what. That's why he had people to do it for him.
"What!?" Oliver began to feel his anger boil inside of him. He left the room and went through all the camera footage until he spotted something. As soon as he saw the person he first went to the security team. "All of you get the fuck out! How the hell didn't you notice anybody stealing!? I want each and every single one of you out here now! Linda! start taking in CV's for a new security team! I want them all on my desk by tomorrow afternoon!" The secretary nodded and quickly got to work.
"Now can someone tell me where the fuck Frank is!" They all said he was in his office and that was where Oliver went next.
Oliver took time to get to know a few employees and Frank just happened to be one of them. Oliver felt betrayed by Frank. Mainly because he favoured Frank over all his other employees. Oliver had worked way too hard for this. He wouldn't just let someone ruin it for him even if it were Frank. Sure it wouldn't make a difference because the company had millions.
"Get the fuck up and come with me!" He hissed and the two of them went up to William's office.
"Jesus, William can you please sort this out because I swear to got I'm going to bust his head open."
Oliver struggled to handle his anger the was William was able to.
"Oliver calm down. What's going on?" William looked at Frank then back at Oliver.
"He's the one I saw stealing money. His name is Frank." He turned to leave but then turned back around. "Also we need a new security team. I fired everyone."
Oliver left and decided to go get a drink at the club. It was just around 4:30 pm so he was bound to bump into a few seniors.
"You seem like you had a rough day." He spotted Alex standing in front of him in a short black dress.
He would never admit it but he was happy to see Alex. He took a few deep breaths and eventually managed to calm down. He drank his shot and looked up at Alex who was sipping her drink through a straw.
"Just an issue at work but your dad is sorting it out."
Oliver looks around the club to see if he could spot Ava but she was nowhere to be found.
"Where's your friend?"
"She's playing tonsil hockey with some guy outside." Alex chuckled and took a seat next to Oliver. She didn't know how to speak to him after that heated kiss that took place a few days ago.
"Do you maybe want to take a walk on the beach?" Alex asked with an awkward smile.
The two get up and walk to the beach. It was just across the club. They quietly walk along the shore line. The tension wasn't that bad in the club. Alex started to regret her suggestion.
"So are you excited for the trip on Friday?" Oliver tried to make conversation.
"No, not really. I go there all the time." She lied. She was looking forward to this trip moore than anyone.
Oliver grinned and shook his head. He was fighting the urge to kiss her once again. The moment his lips disconnected from her that day he had been hoping it would happen again. If this was a mistake he would repeat it over and over.
"What about you? Are you excited? You'll get to spend a whole week with your fiance's family." Alex said knowing it would upset him. She didn't care though, she already knew there was no chance. The kiss was just a silly mistake.
"Come on Alexandra." He stopped walking and pulled her by her arm. "I'm sorry okay, I was going to tell you at some point."
Alex stood in front of him and stared up at him while he spoke. She was tempted to kiss him but she shut that feeling out. He brushed the side of her cheek which caused her to close her eyes and part her lips.
"You know, I really don't like this dress you have on." He mentioned and traced his fingers down her chest. She let out a soft moan and immediately opened her eyes. "It's alright. I liked hearing it." He said and ran his hand down her back this time.
"Oliver." She whispered.
"Hm?"
"We're at a beach." She said firmly and pulled away.
She walked back towards the club but he pulled her back and kissed her again. It felt like a breath of fresh air. She broke the kiss seconds later and walked into the club.
It was clear to her that Oliver wanted to be with her. This made her overjoyed but also worried. She didn't like Mae but she would never do anything to hurt her. She was raised better than that. Alex found Ava and turned to get one last glance at Oliver before she left.
"I feel like this is an appropraite time to say this." Ava got into the car and shut her door. "I can't come with to the lake house. My family is coming over for the holiday."
"Fuck." Alex sighed and drove off.
As the school holiday neared, Alex watched her family excitedly pack up everything they needed for the trip. Knowing her dad, he was probably just focused on the tennis things and nothing else. She had already packed her things Wednesday night so she could rest on Thursday while her family tore the house apart trying to find their things. Alex enjoyed going to the lake house. It was a yearly destination for her family and Alex was very serious about family traditions. Alex knew this trip would be entirely different from the trips they took before but Alex guiltily looked forward to spending a whole week blessed with Oliver's presence. Alex sat at the bottom of the stairs while she thought about Oliver. Alex was used to getting whenever she desired so the fact that she couldn't have Oliver made her want him even more. She thought about how he gently caressed her skin, it was a simple reminder of what could have been, but sadly had no chance of being brought to life.
"Are you having a good time?" Alexandra heard a husky voice ask from behind. The music in the club made it rather difficult to hear him. The flickering lights weren't helping either. "What!?" She yelled out, hoping he would hear her over the music. He smirked before letting out a chuckle. "I asked if you were having a good time!" He shouts. This time, she heard him a lot better than the first. Alexandra took a sip from my drink and smiled. "Oh, yes. I am." "Did you come here alone!?" Her eyebrows knotted as she stared at him in confusion. Alexandra had a feeling that that was the part where she would get kidnapped. "What's got you so curious, sir?" She asked and drank the last bit of her drink. " Curiosity." He responds with a proud look on his face. She let out a sigh followed by a soft giggle. "I came with my best friend. She's just using the restroom." "Mind if I keep you company till she returns?" Alexandra constantly turned men down, but she wanted to be a
"Jesus crepes, my head hurts!" Ava whined as she sat across from Alex at lunchtime. "Well, you have to suck it up because we still have class for four more hours." Ava groaned and placed her head on the table. She loved going out, but she hated the aftereffects. Alex handed her a bottle of water and two painkillers. It didn't matter how often Alex told Ava to drink water to avoid the hangover; Ava never listened. "So tell me more about Mr. Stud muffin," Ava said after taking a few gulps of water. "Can you please stop calling him that? His name is Oliver." Alex complained. "But anyways, there isn't much to tell. We had a drink. I almost kissed him. We-" Alex got cut off by Ava."Hold the fuck up. You didn't kiss him?" Ava asked in confusion. "Of course not. I don't even know him, Ava. I'm not just going to make out with some random guy." Alex lied. She would have made out with him in a heartbeat. She thought about it all night, but wouldn't tell Ava that. "Oh, come on, you must h
Alex stared at her phone in disbelief. How the hell did he figure out her username? She never used her full name on her socials. She opened the text and sent him her phone number. Alex preferred phone calls over texts because she never responded to people. Less than a minute later her phone rang. "How did you find me?" Alex giggled. "I found the guy your friend was making out with, he gave me her username so I went onto her account and found you. I really missed you and wanted to hear your voice again" Part of Alex thought this was creepy but it also didn't count because it was a dashingly handsome man. "You're sweet Oliver. I hope we can meet up again soon." "I'd love nothing more." His deep voice sent chills down Alex's spine. "Listen. Is it okay if we spoke tomorrow. I feel exhausted." Alex asked while fighting the urge to fall asleep. "I'd say yes but I have lunch with my best friend Will. I'll call you afterwards alright?" Alex agreed and hung up. The next morning
