"Jesus crepes, my head hurts!" Ava whined as she sat across from Alex at lunchtime. "Well, you have to suck it up because we still have class for four more hours." Ava groaned and placed her head on the table. She loved going out, but she hated the aftereffects. Alex handed her a bottle of water and two painkillers. It didn't matter how often Alex told Ava to drink water to avoid the hangover; Ava never listened. "So tell me more about Mr. Stud muffin," Ava said after taking a few gulps of water. "Can you please stop calling him that? His name is Oliver." Alex complained. "But anyways, there isn't much to tell. We had a drink. I almost kissed him. We-" Alex got cut off by Ava. "Hold the fuck up. You didn't kiss him?" Ava asked in confusion. "Of course not. I don't even know him, Ava. I'm not just going to make out with some random guy." Alex lied. She would have made out with him in a heartbeat. She thought about it all night, but wouldn't tell Ava that. "Oh, come on, you must have at least thought about it." Ava wiggled her eyebrows. She knew Alex too well. "Does he carry a large package, though?" Alex's eyes widened when she heard Ava. She had no clue how she would respond to that. He did indeed carry a large package. Alex glared at it a few times during the evening. "Ava!" That is all Alex was able to let out. "Have you thought about hooking up with him?" Alex remained silent and enjoyed the lunch she packed for herself. Her parents and older brother were constantly out of town on business trips, so Alex was alone five out of the seven days of the week. Her family was returning tonight from their trip to France. "Come on, Alex. Stud muffin seems like the type to tug your hair and dominate the fuck out of you while you beg him to stop." Ava closed her eyes and rocked against the chair to give Alex an example of how it would go down. One of the students stared at Ava in disbelief. His drink fell out of his hand as he stared at the horrific scene in front of him. "I'm sorry." Alex softly said to the boy before she turned to Ava and grabbed her hand. "Please stop." She begged. Ava took a few more sips of her water, and they two had a normal conversation until lunch was over. "What class do you have now?" Alex asked Ava as they grabbed their bags. "Math, you?" "English. I'll see you after school." Alex hugged Ava before the two went in different directions. For the rest of the day, Alex only had one person on her mind. Oliver. She mentally swore at herself for not taking his number. Alex grabbed all her things once the bell rang, and she rushed to her car. She wanted nothing more than to throw herself onto her bed and nap. "Are we hitting the club tonight?" Ava asked as she got into the car. She barely got through the school day with her hangover, and now she wanted to go back. Alex wasn't in the mood to head back to the club tonight. She just needed time to herself. "You can't be serious, Ava. You look like you haven't slept in days. There's absolutely no way in hell I'm going to the club tonight." Alex put her seat belt on and drove off. "Besides, my parents are coming home for the weekend." Alex loved spending time with her family. Especially her dad. She adored him more than anything, and he loved her just as much. They barely spent time together, but whenever they did, the two would always play tennis. It was their favorite thing to do. That and he enjoyed teaching his daughter about the business. "Oh shit. Does that mean your super hot brother is going to be there?" Ava had always found Alex's brother very attractive, and she made sure Alex knew how hot her brother was. "Can you please not talk about how hot Theo is." Alex pleaded with Ava. "But come on, Alex, your brother is stunning. Have you seen his abs? God, he's so perfect." Alex cringed at everything Ava said. She couldn't see Ava's point because it was her brother. It would be strange to admit that her brother was gorgeous. Everything about him disgusted her. "He's twenty-five, Ava." Alex hissed. "That's just a seven-year age gap." She said with a smug look on her face. "And since when do you care about age? You fuck around with people old enough to be your father!" Ava regretted the words as soon as they left her lips. "Fuck, Alex. I'm sorry." Alex wasn't ashamed of who she liked. She just hated that Ava would always bring it up to get her way with something. Alex knew she shouldn't have trusted Ava with any of her secrets. Especially the one about her liking older men, but part of her thought Ava was a good person and would never utter a single word about it. The rest of the car ride was silent. Alex dropped Ava off and drove home. Ava gave Alex a soft smile before closing the door. The two lived on the same street, just three houses away from each other. When Alex got home, she changed into shorts and an oversized shirt. She grabbed a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from her drawer before she headed to the backyard. Alex wasn't much of a smoker. She only smoked when she felt angry or hurt. In this case, she felt both. She closed her eyes as the smoke took over her lungs. Alex enjoyed the burning sensation that came with it. As soon as she finished, she went back up to her bedroom. Alex threw herself onto her bed, and just as she was about to fall asleep, she heard a notification on her phone.
It was him. It was Oliver.
Alex stared at her phone in disbelief. How the hell did he figure out her username? She never used her full name on her socials. She opened the text and sent him her phone number. Alex preferred phone calls over texts because she never responded to people. Less than a minute later her phone rang. "How did you find me?" Alex giggled. "I found the guy your friend was making out with, he gave me her username so I went onto her account and found you. I really missed you and wanted to hear your voice again" Part of Alex thought this was creepy but it also didn't count because it was a dashingly handsome man. "You're sweet Oliver. I hope we can meet up again soon." "I'd love nothing more." His deep voice sent chills down Alex's spine. "Listen. Is it okay if we spoke tomorrow. I feel exhausted." Alex asked while fighting the urge to fall asleep. "I'd say yes but I have lunch with my best friend Will. I'll call you afterwards alright?" Alex agreed and hung up. The next morning
"Well then find out who did it!" William barked at one of his employees. He squeezed his stress ball at his desk. He found out someone was stealing from the company. "Can you get Oliver in here!" He yelled as his employee was leaving. Moments later Oliver walked in. "Hey man, did someone shove a stick up your ass or something?" William stood up and walked to the window. He was on the 56th floor. He loved looking out the window. Oliver joined him at the window. "There's a couple of thousands missing. Someone has slowly been taking money." William couldn't let anything happen to the business. Both he and Oliver had worked so hard to have the company where it was and he wasn't going to let some employee he probably hasn't even met ruin it for him. It was a big company so he had no idea who ran what. That's why he had people to do it for him. "What!?" Oliver began to feel his anger boil inside of him. He left the room and went through all the camera footage until he spotted som
As the school holiday neared, Alex watched her family excitedly pack up everything they needed for the trip. Knowing her dad, he was probably just focused on the tennis things and nothing else. She had already packed her things Wednesday night so she could rest on Thursday while her family tore the house apart trying to find their things. Alex enjoyed going to the lake house. It was a yearly destination for her family and Alex was very serious about family traditions. Alex knew this trip would be entirely different from the trips they took before but Alex guiltily looked forward to spending a whole week blessed with Oliver's presence. Alex sat at the bottom of the stairs while she thought about Oliver. Alex was used to getting whenever she desired so the fact that she couldn't have Oliver made her want him even more. She thought about how he gently caressed her skin, it was a simple reminder of what could have been, but sadly had no chance of being brought to life.
"Are you having a good time?" Alexandra heard a husky voice ask from behind. The music in the club made it rather difficult to hear him. The flickering lights weren't helping either. "What!?" She yelled out, hoping he would hear her over the music. He smirked before letting out a chuckle. "I asked if you were having a good time!" He shouts. This time, she heard him a lot better than the first. Alexandra took a sip from my drink and smiled. "Oh, yes. I am." "Did you come here alone!?" Her eyebrows knotted as she stared at him in confusion. Alexandra had a feeling that that was the part where she would get kidnapped. "What's got you so curious, sir?" She asked and drank the last bit of her drink. " Curiosity." He responds with a proud look on his face. She let out a sigh followed by a soft giggle. "I came with my best friend. She's just using the restroom." "Mind if I keep you company till she returns?" Alexandra constantly turned men down, but she wanted to be a
