Zoe felt a lump in her throat.

Her mind traveled back to when they used to live in Kirk Manor together after she put down her phone. That was when she realized how reluctant he was to say goodbye to her the night before Yanni’s surgery. She was so concerned about her daughter’s condition that she didn’t notice how strangely he was acting.

With that said, it wouldn’t have made a difference. Even if she knew about the truth and was given the choice to travel back to the past, she wouldn’t have been able to stop him.
