"Is my father coming by today?" Helena asked, leaning back to comfort herself. The car that took her to her destination was already moving at a steady pace. As Dr. Adi had requested, Helena needed to check her condition so that it would be easier to track her health and progress.

It had been three days since she fainted and found out there was a new life growing inside her. During that time, Helena thought things through and started to plan.

Did she think to tell her ex-husband? Absolutely not. Why should Arslan be the first to know about her pregnancy? Helena was pretty sure he was already tied up with his new girlfriend. All that had happened on the day of her expulsion was enough to make Helena realize that that idea was a bad one.

"Nothing," Wilna replied, a little hesitantly. She was also a little surprised to hear Helena's question on the phone. "I'll check with Mr. Hanry's secretary first.”

"What's up?" said Wilna.

“I’d like to stop by and see you.” Helena looked down at the st

“You need to take care of your health more than ever, Helena,” Adi warned. He was aware that the youngest daughter of the Edison family often disregarded her health issues. Although he hadn't seen Helena much in the past three years, Dr. Adi hadn't forgotten her complaints about her body condition."I'm not a child anymore," Helena said, looking a little annoyed. "You're just like your father. Chatty."Adi let out a chuckle. "I'm sure your father is pleased with this news.""You're right." Helena smiled broadly. "I'll let him know this weekend. Let's go, Dr. Adi. I'd love it if you could all come and have dinner together."The middle-aged man nodded right away. “I hope I can find the time.”"Thanks." Helena was ready to head out of Adi's spacious and comfortable office. The gynecological exam was thorough today, and Helena was happy with the results. If she keeps up her intake and doesn't get too tired, there's nothing to worry about. That was Doctor Adi's advice during the exam.“You

Michael was taken aback. He quickly scanned the lobby and its surroundings. His legs felt tired. He knew he needed to work out more to build up his stamina for this. But for now, he didn't really have time to think about it. Michael needed to find Helena. He wasn't sure what he was going to talk to her about, but at least he knew where Helena was. What a pain in the neck his father is! He should have told him from the start what he was doing around the Tan family!"Oh, no!" Michael gave his hair a quick shake, annoyed. As he looked around, he couldn't see any sign of the woman with the bright brown eyes, even though the area seemed big and empty. "It's not like she could have just disappeared without a trace, right?"He let out a long sigh."Doctor," said one of the nurses who happened to be in the same corridor as Michael. "What's the problem?"Michael gave a little smile. He quickly pushed Helena out of his mind. "Nothing, thanks." "I just needed to get some fresh air."“I see.” The

"I heard there's an important meeting today." Mirna asked her son, who was eating breakfast, if he knew anything about it. She was joined by her future daughter-in-law, who has been staying at her house more often to prepare for their wedding, which is just days away. Mirna didn't mind. In fact, she felt lucky and wanted to get the wedding over with as soon as possible.Mirna was able to keep her head up thanks to her relationship with Jacob's family, which was quite influential. She was quick to point out how lucky her son, Arslan, was to have a wife like Tiara. She didn't address the many questions about the woman who was previously with Arslan. "She'll only hold my son back as long as you know. "So why keep him on?"That's what Mirna said every time someone asked. But now she's not worried about that. She just wants to make Tiara her daughter-in-law right away."Yes, Mother," Arslan replied with a small smile. He looked the part, too—in a gray suit that was both elegant and classy.

Wilna looked at the man sitting in front of her with a look of annoyance. If she hadn't remembered to keep her cool, she might have asked him to leave the meeting room. The man's face was as impassive as usual, as if what happened in his life didn't really affect anything. Calm and even, according to Wilna, he looked happy."Oh, shoot! I completely forgot about that! His mistress is Jacob's family's daughter. This could really help Arslan advance in his career. It would be great if Arslan knew who he got rid of for his mistress." Wilna thought to herself. She cleared her throat to get her attention back on track. “Let’s get started with the meeting, then.”Arslan gave a little smile. "Go ahead. I'm looking forward to discussing it with you."And so they spent some time talking about the cooperation that had to be agreed upon by both parties before the contract was signed. Wilna listened closely as the Intel Corp team gave their explanation, which included some extra info from Arslan.

He quickly grabbed the cell phone on the table and made a call to the only person in authority. But he was interrupted by a quiet shake from the woman in front of him. Thomas was at a loss, looking into his sister's serious eyes.“You're making me angry, Helena,” Thomas said, trying to keep his annoyance in check. He wanted to make a phone call to Wilna. She needed to turn him down flat, whatever Arslan was offering. It was an interesting proposition, but after everything the man had done to Helena…Absolutely! There was no way Thomas would let Nakia, let alone the Edison Group, work with someone like that!"You've been giving me a hard time since the beginning," Helena said calmly. She took a slow sip of her warm milk, which she found to be a bit unpleasant. She frowned, feeling a bit uncomfortable, but she tried her best to take care of her future baby. "Are you not satisfied?" Helena added, “No problem.”"Oh my!" Thomas made a frustrated face. "I'm not sure what else to say to you,

The luncheon this time can be said to be quite luxurious. Maybe it's because the parties that will cooperate need to show how social class of business they have. After all, if this cooperation continues, it is likely that the stock movements of these two companies will continue to soar over time. Don't let this rare opportunity go to waste, right?"Wow," Tiara couldn't stop laughing. "Nakia Group never messes around when it comes to showing its class."Arslan gently rubbed the back of his future wife's hand. "You're right. That's why I have to get this project, my dear. You know, not only does your father have great hopes for me, but this collaboration will also bring me to the beginning of the highest point."Tiara smiled broadly. "I will be at your side from now on until then. Because a woman like me deserves to be at your side, right?"Arslan nodded slightly. The picture of Helena he had met earlier had changed. Why did he still think of his ex-wife? Besides, Helena should be happy

It took a while for Helena and Thomas to get to the banquet.Thomas was visibly frustrated and kept massaging his temples. Every so often, he paused and looked at his sister with a sharp gaze. “Are you sure about this?”“Yes, absolutely.” Helena replied without hesitation. "I really need Intel Corp. to cooperate on this. I asked Wilna to test the feasibility sample, and the results were pretty good. It seems that Intel has updated the program. I got the update from Wilna in an email."Thomas let out another sigh. "I'm not sure, Helena. After what that guy did, I don't want to see him around me. I can still find plenty of clients who are more capable than Intel Corp. I also heard that Jacob helped Intel Corp create the program they're now offering. You know, the Jacob Group has a pretty bad reputation, at least in my opinion. It's too risky for this partnership.""That issue has already been resolved. As I mentioned, I've already put together a sample test. That’s why I pushed for this

"My mother asked you to drop by," Arslan said before closing the car door, where Tiara had already gotten in. The banquet was over, but Arslan still felt something was off.Aside from what Miss Wilna, the CEO of Nakia Group, said, Arslan still wasn't sure about the cooperation he proposed to Thomas Edison. Arslan is eager to hear the latest and will get the ball rolling on the next step as soon as he has the green light on the cooperation.Once more, Thomas' unexpected exit from the banquet left many of the guests wondering what had really happened. Oh, and one more thing: we haven't forgotten about Helena. Which Thomas found pretty annoying. How could his ex-wife be at such an important meeting?Given that Helena rarely socialized when she was with him, Arslan doubted that she could easily get a job. Arslan saw Helena as a wife who liked to stay at home and didn't do much other than take care of the house. She wasn't like other women who contributed a lot to the family.Helena was a

Even though it was Gadis's days at GreenTech again—fun and certainly busy besides having to keep arguing with King, there was also a lot of work she had to do. Especially related to King's latest project. Her boss and eternal enemy never gave her team a break to quickly finish what had been distributed. Among the most annoying things, King didn't tolerate mistakes.Gadis ... always had to endure King's anger because there was always something wrong. Even if it was small, for a perfectionist like King, it wasn't allowed to happen.“Damn it!” Gadis immediately pulled out her desk chair. ‘Damn you, Kingkong!’ she scolded as she sat down roughly, not caring that the sound of her butt hitting the seat was quite annoying. If only Gadis's weight was a bit too much, maybe the desk chair could break.“Hi,” Tania warned, giggling. ”Be patient, Dis. Be patient. Getting angry makes you age faster and realize how things feel.&r

He even held his stomach, which suddenly cramped from laughing so much this afternoon. ”No wonder they call you crazy.”“Not crazy bucin, Lo,” interrupted Mario who didn't want to lose. ‘Bulol. Stupid bucin.”“I'm not stupid, huh,’ King snapped. ”I still have the sanity to behave normally, even though the situation is reversed according to what I want.”“Angga is the stupid one, Mario. You can't understand the situation, can you?” Lilo was still laughing at Mario's remark. “But people like Angga need to be taught a lesson. I haven't heard the latest news about the arrest of that guy.”“It won't be long before it gets out, you know.” King grinned slightly. The glass of soda was almost empty. He had no intention of refilling it, and anyway, there was only a plate left of his

“Aunty, I thought you were going to be a long time coming, Dis,” Priska approached Gadis who had just gotten out of the car. Her son's beloved vehicle, which no one was allowed to touch carelessly, was simply handed over by Gadis who appeared behind the wheel. Gadis's beautiful face made a big smile greet Priska's greeting.“King was so fussy, saying he didn't want to keep Auntie waiting,” replied Gadis, half grumbling. Originally, Gadis's lips were a little itchy because she called King by his real name. Being used to calling him Kingkong made Gadis feel uncomfortable. Even so, Gadis still knew how to behave, especially since she was dealing with King's mother.“That child,” Priska snapped. ”He shouldn't bother you when you're driving.”“Well, that's how his Auntie is.”Priska laughed. From the beginning of her acquaintance with Gadis and her strange relationship with her son, Priska had to rub

“Good afternoon.”Budi had expected that there would be guests coming to visit his house. Including two men in full uniform with attributes. There was no commotion, but it had attracted the attention of the neighbors. Because it seemed that the lawyer and the police who came to the house were not joking and were acting exactly like Gadis's words that had suddenly gone viral on various social media.“Good afternoon, sir.” Budi greeted them warmly. His wife did the same even though she looked frightened and worried. For a while, Sheila was not allowed to leave the house for her safety and to protect her from the bad things that could have happened. Before long, a conversation between them took place. Budi didn't want to draw too much attention by speaking as loudly as possible to cause a commotion. He wanted the matter to be resolved peacefully as soon as possible. If his child was indeed guilty, he had to take full responsibility because e

“All the reports and evidence that Ms. Gadis brought, I have submitted to the authorities. And I have also issued a summons to summon them and hold them accountable for their actions.” Albert looked furious after hearing Gadis's story during a casual conversation with Hendi just now. It's not that, in Albert's eyes, a man like Angga is nothing more than a coward hiding behind a sense of responsibility. Even though it was not a form of male responsibility, but rather the mental murder of a girl who sincerely loved him. Fortunately, Gadis Parasayu was able to escape Angga's clutches. Maybe that also made the man feel hurt and resentful of the treatment of his ex-lover. He felt that if he went viral with his past story with Gadis, it could attract sympathy and make Gadis be humiliated on social media.“Thank you very much, Mr. Albert.” Gadis looked at the man who she thought was about the same age as Mr. Ubud with a sympathetic look. ”I reall

Oh my gosh, I can't imagine if you ended up marrying him.”“Terrified, aren't you?’ Lily rubbed her own shoulder to get rid of the sudden feeling of discomfort. ”But actually I feel sorry for him too.”“Me too, actually,” said Gadis quietly. ”I don't know if Sheila knows this or not, but clearly all the accounts that made reports on Twitter also caused a stir, and they came from her account. Lilo also helped to get the cellphone that was used and ... connected to the bastard.”“You really have to reply without thinking anymore, sir. Sheila, who had just finished looking at the news about herself, never expected it to end like this. So she checked all the accounts she had until ... “Oh my God!” Her hands were shaking violently. At first, she stood up, but it seemed that Sheila was no longer able to support her body. Until her hands were holding on to the edge of the table. “Why is this happening?”She took a breath immediately. Trying to stay clear-headed. Today she had a lot of work to finish, even though ... “How can I concentrate when this is the problem?”No. Sheila couldn't just keep quiet. She had to find the source of the problem that had done this to her. “But first and foremost, I have to talk to the head nurse. Let her give me permission today to sort out that bastard!” She felt very annoyed, but also overwhelmed with disappointment. Her trust in Angga had been abused with such casualness and irresponsibility. Since the incident at the cafe, Sheila immediately took a firm stand. Whatever Angga said, she

“But not too long, Kingkong,“ said Gadis, frowning. The seat belt that was originally around her body was already off. The car that King was driving had pulled over near the area of the boarding house that Gadis had left.“Come on, how long does it take to pee?” King sighed. “If I'm not really desperate, I won't be staying at your boarding house, Pasaraya. I really don't want to get out of the car.”“That's why you shouldn't drink too much coffee.”“It doesn't matter!” King immediately opened the car door while looking at the surroundings, just in case a motorbike suddenly passed by and it could be dangerous if he suddenly opened the door.“Tsk!” Gadis still didn't want to get rid of her scowl. He called the waiter of the restaurant, which is known to be quite luxurious and famous among celebrities. SKYE, located in the BCA Tower, is often used as a gathering place to show the social caste of certain circles. Why did King choose this place just for dinner? Besides needing peace and quiet, he needed privacy to talk to Gadis, especially regarding what to do about the news that was still rising to the surface.“But you weren't directed here either, right?” Gadis sighed softly, feeling amazed but also filled with big question marks in her
