Chapter 45
Kyrah's POV
The moment Blake and I arrive at the prison, I spot Roxy and next to her is Vic, Scott, my mom and a person I assume is Scott's dad. I run as fast as I can to her, trying to focus on my steps, careful not to fall because of my wedges.
I call out her name a couple of times but all she's doing is blankly looking at me. From the looks of things, all her energy has been depleted.
"Roxy, I am so sorry I–" I begin but her reaction makes me stop talking.
She stands up from her seat and begins to walk away as if I wasn't even talking to her. Like a zombie, she's walking away, without a word. She doesn't even dare to look back and heads for the large double door, giving Blake a look of disgust.
I turn to face my mom and she's busy scowling at Blake, I turn to Scott and he has his eyes focused on Blake too. Vic is wiping his tears with the hem of his shirt and then Scott's dad's face looks more familiar now. I've seen him on TV

Blake's POVI'm holding on to a glass of vodka when Carla walks into the room. Her hands in front of her as always. She looks confident as ever, with that never-fading smile on her face.
