"So, it’s true. You lost your memories after the incident.”

Tristan’s sudden statement caught me off guard. His voice was low, his gaze intense, waiting for my confirmation.

“What are you trying to say now?” I asked, trying to steady my voice.

Tristan turned away briefly, then faced me again, holding his face in his hands. “You know what I’m saying. Your memories… they were long gone.”

His words hung heavy in the air, leaving me speechless. Tristan stared at me, waiting for a response that I couldn’t find. His behavior had become increasingly erratic. Initially, he was romantic and devoted, but now he seemed frustrated, desperate for answers.

“I’m done talking to you,” I finally managed to say softly.

Tristan lowered his head, then glanced at me with a fleeting smirk. “Truth finally found its way to me.”

His words chilled me, leaving me wondering what had happened to the man I thought I knew so well.
