Tristan.

Megan stared at Elaine as she walked away from the office. She rolled her eyes and approached me with a smile. I scoffed and yanked open my drawer. My hand trembled slightly as I grabbed the half-empty bottle of alcohol, and I took a long, burning swig. Megan took a deep breath.

"I could already sense something happened between you two."

She walked behind me and started rubbing my shoulders. My muscles were knotted and tense, but I kept sipping the alcohol, not saying a word.

"Tell me, honey, what happened?"

I couldn't hold back my foul mood. The bottle slammed down on my desk with a force that sent papers fluttering. My eyes narrowed, and my voice came out in a low, venomous hiss.

"That bitch! She thinks she’s a big shot now!"

I grabbed the divorce papers from my desk and crumpled them in my hands.

"Elaine kept on embarrassing me. If she succeeds with this divorce, I'll definitely lose face with everyone."
