Chapter Six - Denouncing Alpha Loki

"What are you doing? Put some clothes on!" Arianna turned her back on him and flushed red on her cheeks.

"I only had to show you that I was speaking the truth; but, right now I suppose you trust me. Alternatively do you need more proof to persuade you?" Loki inquired, and Arianna shook her head fiercely while still facing him back-first.

No thanks. I don't need any more proof; I think I believe, anyway, if you really want to discuss, kindly put some clothing on." She insisted, and Loki nodded.

Loki changed to his werewolf form, left the room, went back to the bathroom to get clothed, then came back a few minutes later totally dressed and looking beautiful as ever.

" You can turn around now." He gave an instruction, she inhaled deeply, then turned slowly. "Are you actually this shy? Cause if you are, I'm not sure how much fun mocking you will be." She scowled at him and he laughed.

"Enough on that now." We should discuss why I am here and how you plan to take me back to my house. She insisted.

"Hold on a sec, I just proved to you that I'm a werewolf and I'm the Alpha of this pack; you're my mate so that makes you the future Luna of the pack." She nodded and her face turned sarcastic.

"I guess I'm over it now, even though learning that werewolves really exist and are not only a myth or people's imagination is startling and quite the revelation. 

Regarding being your mate and everything around, I truly have little interest. You know this; I am in love with someone else; he is even your best friend. I am solely going to wed Valentin and nobody else . I'm sure you could find yourself another partner; you're the Alpha, you're strong, and have the charming looks that women like." Adrianna spoke casually without thinking through it.

How severely her comments were affecting the man standing before her?

We have to persuade her; we simply have to. His wolf muttered silently.

"Arianna, you don't seem to get it. Unlike your world, in which we may simply choose anybody we want; we are paired from birth by the moon goddess herself and our inner wolf guides us to our partner when we reach the suitable age.

 Given that you are a human, you might not grasp it; however, we have a strong relationship. Loki tried to explain, but Arianna was ready to ignore anything he said.

"Look, all I care about is returning back home,where I belong; I don't fucking care how the world of werewolves works. Everyone, especially my mother, must be so worried sick about me. Just let me go; if you care about me so much, just let me go." Arianna started fiercely but soon had to turn to begging.

"I'm sorry, you belong here with me. My Luna. We have a mating bond, hence I cannot let you go. Loki said.

"Then what the fuck am I meant to do? Let me forget about my relatives. My work, my fiancé, everything else I love, just to be here with you just because you're the Alpha and you claim we're mates?

Tears filling her eyes, Adrianna asked. This was simply unfair. How had she fallen abruptly into such a conundrum?

She had been content and utterly relishing in the delight of having all she could have ever dreamed of only a few hours earlier, but this man had taken everything away from her in the blink of an eye. 

Worse of it all, he intended to make her live with him against her choice.

" Please don't cry; I also feel hurt when you cry." He worked to calm her. "Stop acting like someone who cares. Cause, if you really do, you would let me go by now. Wiping away her tears, Arianna said.

"I know it's going to be hard for you but you'll learn to love it here in due time and you'll learn to love me also." Loki said then turned to head off. He understood he had to give her some alone time so she might consider and absorb the circumstances.

She was a human girl, hence the ways of the wolves were still foreign to her and even though he wouldn't say it yet, he had already grown to like her. He was simply going to be patient with her for the time being.

"Wait! " He turned around right away, stopped in his tracks at her voice.

"Do you need anything?" If you need anything, there will be a maid just outside your room to give you all your needs and take orders. He warned.

"Thanks but since I won't be staying here, I don't need anything." He sighed while she insisted fiercely. It was quite unique and hardly common that he would have a human as a mate. He had just taken her since she managed to fascinate him and was so lovely.

She was being so obstinate and rejecting something so basic as if it weren't enough.

"I find myself wondering. In the novels I've read the Alpha can break the mating bond and reject his mate. Does that actually happen? She questioned, and he couldn't help but wonder why she would probe such a topic at a time like this.

“Yes, the Alpha can break the mating link and reject his partner; but, why are you asking this question?" Loki answered her question then asked his.

"Does it mean that the two persons are no longer mates and do not have to get together when the mating link breaks? 

That is, they can split ways then?" Adrianna asked, a plan fast developing in her head.

“Sure, but why all the questions? What are you thinking?” Beginning to feel afraid of this woman, Loki asked. She looked to have an independent mind.

"Then, Alpha Loki Blackwood , I, Arianna Terrence, reject you as my mate and so break the mating bond." Arianna dropped the bombshell, and Loki's heart tightened as his inner wolf winced agonizingly from his shock and horror.

He would most definitely be the laughing stock of the entire pack as the shock was so strong he could not even overcome it. Imagine that the Alpha was rejected by his mate. It was completely unheard of, and he most definitely wouldn't allow

It happened ; he couldn't let it happen.

For his pride and his heart, he had to

quickly come up with a plan and couldn't let her go.
