Chapter 3

Ashley Falls: "At least you are admitting that he has feelings for you."Jane said.

"Nooo… he is a stranger to me and you gave my number to him. I didn't even know him. I saw him for the first time."

"Well, you need that stranger. If he is playing with you even then you can get some benefits. He looks rich." Jane said.

"What are you talking about?" I said.

"It's for your good. You don't have any choice. Maybe you need him. Maybe that's what fate is, you need someone and that person showed up for you." Jane said.

"You are confusing me. And I don't think he will come back. I made it very clear to him that I don't want him."

"Let's see what happens." Jane said.

"Let's see." I said.

"I know he's gonna come."She patted my shoulder and teased me.

"Come on. Don't do that." I blushed and said.

"Let's go and eat something. I will pay." Jane said.

Chris Melberg: I woke up in the afternoon and saw a note beside my bed. It was a picture of a girl and behind that picture Nick, my alter ego wrote that she is her mate and didn't try to do anything to her. He will come again.

I didn't know what to do, should I be happy because my other personality came out and now I can get a proper treatment or should I be sad because my other personality has found himself a mate. And I don't know anything about her.

I need to go to the bank to get the money my dad sent me. I am working as a freelancer but I am also getting money from my dad because of my expenses and treatment.

But tonight is a full moon and I am nervous about it. The season of mating is on its peak. Whenever I turn into a wolf at full moon, my body releases an intense scent to other wolves for mating. I don't want a mate right now. How can I have two mates at the same time? It's kinda impossible.

I went to the cave present in the mountains behind the forest. I always go there at full moon night. I left my clothes there. I began to transform into a wolf and went into the forest. After running and protecting myself from other wolves, I went back into the cave for sleep. I didn't want to mate. So, this was the best decision for me to go back into the cave. It was huge but nobody came there in all that time. So, I knew that I was safe.

I got up in the morning. My body was covered in sand and dust. I tried to free myself of dust with my hands as much as I could. I quickly began to wear my clothes. I wore my pants and sneakers. Then I wore my shirt, I was going to button up the shirt but I heard some noise. I slept near the entrance of the cave, so I knew nobody came inside.

I slowly moved two steps ahead and tried to look at the alley going inside the cave. I slowly moved my head to see who was there but before I could do anything, a girl quickly came in front of me. She put her hand forcly on my mouth and pinned me to the wall of the cave. Her other hand was pressing the wall. My eyes widened with shock and I was looking at her. I looked at her and then I looked at her hand on the wall. She gestured to me with her thumb and face that someone was inside the cave. So, don't make noise.

I was staring into her eyes. She had long black hair, some of her hair was coming to her face. She had tanned skin and it was matching with her beautiful hair. She was having fangs and she looked like a vampire. But I didn't get her scent when I came into the cave and still she was covering my scent to spread in the cave. She was standing very close to me. I was feeling her warm breaths on my face and probably she was also feeling my breaths.

How can she do that after being a vampire? She had green eyes and I hadn't seen any vampire with this color of eyes. Something was different in her. She was still looking into my eyes and her hand was on my mouth. However, she slowly moved her hand from the wall. My heart was beating very fast and I knew she could hear it. 

It was mating season and werewolves' hearts beat that fast after meeting the mate or after having eye contact with her/him. I knew that she was a vampire so I skipped that thought of her being my mate. But I was feeling a strong connection with her. She slowly moved her hand from my mouth and took my hand into her hand.

She moved out of the cave and took me with her. Though she looked like a vampire, her eyes were filled with life. She took me outside the cave and I was looking at my hand in her hand. I didn't even notice when I was walking behind her and we came out of the cave. I just got lost in the moment.

"Who are you?"She asked.

"Chris." I said unintentionally, still lost in the beauty of her.

"Chris who? A lone werewolf? Right?" She asked.

"Yes, Chris Melberg."I put my hand forward and said, "And you?"

"Emma,...... Emma Gray." She put her hand forward slowly and shook with mine. I again felt a strange feeling all over my body. I wondered if she felt the same.

"So, what are you doing here? Are you a vampire?" I asked.

"No, I am not a vampire and I came here with my fellows. They told me that she found a new cave. So, I came with them."She said,

"Then, what are you? You are definitely not a werewolf." I said.

"I am a hybrid, a werewolf and a vampire."She said,

"What? How is that possible?"

"I was a werewolf and I was dying, so a vampire I knew tried to convert me into a vampire and he succeeded. So, I became a vampire."She explained slowly.

"Thank you for saving me from them." I said.

"It's okay. I got some benefits of being hybrid. I covered our scents. Are you in search of your mate?" She asked.

"No, I don't want to mate. What about you? Are you…….. in search of a mate." I asked nervously.

"What? Then she laughed. A mate,..... me. I am a hybrid. I don't need to mate like you wolves. I don't have any effects of the mating season."

"Oh, that's….. I frowned and then tried to cover it and said, that's good."

We both were awkwardly silent.

"You need to button up your shirt."She said,

I was still lost in thoughts of her. And I didn't realize what she said. So, i just said, 

"What?"

"You need to button up your shirt." She looked at my body and gave a sign with her hand.

"Oh, I am sorry. I didn't notice. I quickly buttoned up my shirt." She laughed nervously.

"I need to go. They will notice that I am not in the cave." She said,

"Oookay. Hope we will meet again." I said,

"Maybe."She said,

"Definitely, we will." I whispered but I knew she heard that after all she is a hybrid.
