60: BRAVERY

I entered the dimly lit room where General Masa lay, his injuries grave. His once formidable presence was now reduced to a frail figure, his face covered with pain. His eyes flickered open as I approached, and he tried to sit up, wincing from the effort.

"Stay still," I said softly, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You need to rest."

Masa shook his head, determination in his eyes. "There is no time for rest," he said, very weakly. "I have information you need."

I pulled a chair closer to his bed and sat down, my heart heavy with the weight of recent events. "Tell me," I urged gently.

He took a shuddering breath, his voice weak but resolute. "Captain Hyde... he came to help me. Together, we fought against those who conspired against us. They wanted to control Border Town, to tear it apart from within."

"Where are they now?" I asked, leaning forward. "Where is Zaza? Where is Captain Hyde?"
