The cell was a desolate place, as the cell was lonely and scary. The walls felt like they were squeezing me, making it hard to breathe. I was actually suffocating with their oppressive presence. I looked at the hard, gray stone around me and felt sad. It was like my dreams were broken and sitting on top of me, making it hard to move. I would never put my enemy in a place like that. I kept wondering why Alpha Jo, as sweet as he is, would build something like this.

How did I end up here? Why did I not see this coming? These were the questions I asked myself while in the cell. I was to be banished and according to the laws it was to be after seven days of being held in a cell. This was for proper inquiry and confirmation by the elders.

I thought I was loved by all but the inmates were no different. They called me names that stung like a lash, taunting me with their cruel mockery of who I thought I was meant to be. I was the only female werewolf in the cell and it didn't make it easier.

In the dimly lit confines of the cell, Elder Cedric's presence was a beacon of hope amidst the gloom. His noble bearing and wise demeanor commanded respect, and I leaned in eagerly as he spoke, his words carrying a weight of urgency.Elder Cedric, an Omega Cleric and a Noble councilor was imprisoned because he spoke truth to power. The Superior clans felt he was a threat and decided to shut him up for good. They could have killed him but killing him would have resulted in an uproar."Be careful, Ava," he cautioned, his voice low but filled with concern. "There are spies among us, watching our every move."My heart raced at his warning, the gravity of the situation sinking in. Spies? In these very cells? It seemed unfathomable, but I knew better than to dismiss Elder Cedric's words lightly. I have heard how he held mysteries and powers to himself and refused to use them even when the Omegas needed him."And there's more," he continued, his expression grave. "The Council has decided to

Don’t do that, you do not have the capacity to do that right now, you need to immerse yourself in the realm of the ancestral powers before you can do that,” said Elder Cedric who was now walking close to my cell, seeing that I have been trying several times to gather strength one more time to get my gift active.“I don’t know what you are talking about. I was only trying to meditate,” I said knowing I was lying and would not want him to know what kind of gift I possessed.“I can see why they are afraid of you, my dear, it is really a frightening thing for someone as young as you to have these gifts, and to think of it you are an Omega clan. Words dry up quickly in the speed as my thought brought them up. No one had ever in time past or to come ever spoken such words to me. Elder Cedric knew too much for an Omega werewolf. Maybe =, he has some powers of his own and he has been deceiving me all along? Maybe he is working for Maria and trying to gather information from me. I had no answ

  • I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA   14: THE COUNCIL

The Council chamber was a grand and imposing hall, its walls adorned with ancient designs and elaborate and well-decorated carvings that spoke of a long and well-documented history. At the head of the chamber, a raised platform held the seats of the elders, each one carved from solid oak and adorned with intricate symbols of authority. In all my days dating Alpha Jo and moving around with him, he had never brought me to the Council chambers even when I pleaded on several occasions. No one will come in here and not feel intimidated or flawed by its design and intricate sacredness. As I entered the chamber, flanked by guards whose stern visages spoke of a lifetime of battle, I couldn't help but feel a shiver run down my spine at the sight of the Council seated before me. Their positions were deliberate, their presence commanding respect and awe as they presided over the proceedings with an air of solemnity and gravitas.Alpha Jo's gaze met mine from across the chamber, his expression a

As the tension in the Council chamber reached a fever pitch, a visible sense of anticipation hung heavy in the air, thickening with each passing moment. The Elders, their expressions grave and solemn, rose from their seats in unison, their movements deliberate and calculated as they prepared to address the assembly. At their signal, my father, Mr. Carson, rose from his seat among the Elders, his face a mask of endurance and the pain I had caused him though he was not expressing none at all, as he stepped forward to take his place in one of the cubicles reserved for witnesses. It was a move that sent shockwaves rippling through the chamber, whispers of surprise and speculation echoing off the walls as the significance of his presence in the trial became apparent.I watched in stunned silence as my father took his place before the Council, his demeanor composed and dignified despite the weight of the moment. It was clear that his testimony would hold great sway over the outcome of the t

As I stood before the Council, the weight of their judgment bore down upon me like a heavyweight imposing itself on my entire being. I felt as though the very fabric of my world was opening and revealing itself before my eyes. The tension in the chamber was easily noticed, filling up every space as people discussed my actions and what they thought I did or not while the Elders deliberated my fate in a very deliberate and slow way. The intent was to create fear.My heart pounded in my chest, and the steady drumming of fear and uncertainty was echoing in my ears as I waited with short breaths for their decision. Beside me, my mother stood with tears streaming down her cheeks, her eyes filled with a mixture of despair and contempt. And then, with a sown nod from the head of the council, the Supreme Elder, gave a sign that the judgment was to be delivered."Mrs. Carson," the Elder said, his voice deep and firm, "you are hereby sentenced to imprisonment for obstruction of justice which in

The judgment made me uncertain about so many things especially the Omega clan I was about to leave behind. I felt a surge of emotions welling up inside me, threatening to overwhelm my senses. Tears stung at my eyes, hot and bitter, as I struggled to contain the flood of despair threatening to consume me whole.Injustice. The word echoed in my mind like a cruel event, a reminder of the betrayal and deceit that had brought me to this moment. How could they accuse me of crimes I did not commit? How could they cast me out, condemn me to a fate worse than death, without so much as a fair trial? I have no clan and I have no pack. At my age, I felt I was too young to start all over and I was sure in this state the forest would consume me.The anger bubbled up inside me like a raging fire, burning bright and fierce as I struggled to make sense of the injustice that had been done to me. But even as the flames of fury threatened to consume me, a small voice whispered in the depths of my sou

  • I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA   18: KING OF BORDER TOWN

I stood at the borders of Nashville Town with nothing except for the scroll and the secrets Elder Cedric told me. I looked at the rest of the Omega clan. They seemed hopeless. I went to where my parents are, and they moved back a little. I thought they were coming to see me off, but I was wrong.Maria walked close to me. She took a very nasty look at me. For some seconds, I thought she was going to spit at me. I was ready to go at her despite her guards. I had lost everything.“Look at the useless thing who thought my brother was going to marry her. You need to think again you little rascal,” she said.I stood right in her face but, for the sake of my parents, I was not going to do anything. My parents looked downcast and dejected, and I was not going to add to that.“Please don't hurt my parents anymore,” I pleaded. “For the sake of the moon goddess and as your sister, please keep them safe,” I begged.“You are not my sister!” She shouted. “You are an Omega,” she said. “Do you think my Uncle will make it?” Zaza had asked me since I told them that Sir Ayar the King was poisoned.“I don't know Zaza, this has been a continuous and deliberate action to incapacitate the King,” I told her. Sincerely, I did not know how much of the poison was in his system. I was banished and disowned so I cannot suggest taking the King to my mother at Nashville.I told Zaza that we needed to inform the King. He deserves to know the whole truth. He needs to be protected and watched now that we know what is happening.“I suspected it. I was getting better and of a sudden I got worse. He started talking to me about how the bandits' reign could be a good thing,” Sir Ayar said.I looked at the King again, I saw that he was in a terrible state. He did not have a lot of days left in this world. I had a great sympathy for him.“How long do I have? The King asked. I was still looking at him full of pity and remorse. The crowd cheered, the sound echoing through the air like a promise. The rare breeds had their land, the omegas had their leader, and together, we would forge a new era of peace and prosperity. A beginning where all had a place, where all could live with dignity and pride. And as long as we stood together, there was nothing we could not achieve. The sun had barely risen, casting its golden rays over the land, but the joy in the air was alre

I turned to Maria, who still stood bound and defiant, though her eyes now held a glimmer of fear. "Maria," I said, my voice firm but not unkind. "You will be imprisoned for your crimes, your fate decided by the council of Alphas. You will not be allowed to sow discord among our people ever again."Maria’s shoulders sagged in defeat, the last vestiges of her defiance crumbling as she realized the finality of her situation. She had lost everything, her power, her influence, her future. As Maria was led away, Alpha Jo stepped beside me. "You've united us in a way none of us could have imagined," he said quietly. "And now, we follow you."I looked at him, seeing the sincerity in his eyes, and nodded. "This victory is just the beginning," I replied. "We have much work to do to rebuild, to ensure that our lands remain safe and prosperous. But we will do it together, as one."The Alphas, now united under a single banner, dispersed to their respective territories, carrying with them the knowl

When the final letter was written, sealed, and set aside, I leaned back in my chair, feeling the weight of the night pressing down on me. The letters would be sent out at dawn, carried by trusted messengers who would deliver them swiftly across the lands. The responses would come in due time, but I had no doubt that there would be resistance. There always was when power shifted so dramatically. But this time, there was no room for doubt or hesitation. Our survival depended on our unity, and any who stood against us would be dealt with swiftly and decisively. As I extinguished the candle and rose from my desk, I felt a sense of calm settle over me. The decisions had been made, the words had been written, and the course had been set. Now, all that remained was to wait and see who would stand with us, and who would fall.I walked to the window, looking out at the night sky, the stars twinkling like distant beacons of hope. • I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA   117: ALPHA OF ALPHAS

The grand hall of the palace was filled with an air of anticipation. I stood at the head of the room, my face hidden behind a mask crafted to conceal the remnants of the beast that had once overtaken me. Though I had regained control, the scars, both physical and emotional, remained. Before me stood the council, the elders, and the leaders from the Hinderlands, Riverlands, and Borderlands. Each of them had been summoned here to witness a new chapter in our shared history, to hear the decisions that would shape the future of our lands. There was a noticeable tension in the air, the weight of the moment pressing down on everyone present. The flickering torchlight cast long shadows across the room, adding to the somber atmosphere. As I looked out at the gathered assembly, I felt a mix of emotions, pride, determination, and a deep sense of responsibility. The journey had been long and fraught with challenges, but it had brought us to this point, where we could finally unite as one. I to

In the depths of the forest, I crouched low, my senses heightened and my body still buzzing with the raw energy that had surged through me during the battle. The moonlight filtered through the dense canopy, as I tried to regain control over the beast within me. My breathing was heavy, and my mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions.Karim and Shocy approached cautiously, their footsteps barely making a sound on the forest floor. They had been searching for me, and though I knew they meant well, the beast inside me still surged with a fierce, untamed power. When they finally found me, their eyes filled with concern and relief."Thank the gods we found you," Karim said, his voice steady but laced with worry. He stopped a few paces away, respecting the distance I needed. "You need to come back with us. You can't stay out here."I turned to face them, my eyes glowing with a fierce intensity that made even the most seasoned warriors uneasy. The beast inside me was still close to the s

As Karim and his men escorted the freed captives away, I watched from a distance, feeling the weight of my actions and appearance. I knew that my transformation and the intensity of the battle had left a mark on me, both physically and emotionally. The woods seemed to offer a sanctuary from the chaos, and I made my way deeper into the forest, seeking solace in the quiet of the natural world. The sounds of the forest were a welcome contrast to the chaos of the battlefield, providing a moment of calm amidst the turmoil. I took deep breaths, trying to steady my mind and regain a sense of balance. In the distance, I could hear the muffled sounds of Karim and his men leading the captives to safety. The knowledge that they were being cared for and protected was a small comfort, even as I wrestled with the lingering effects of the battle and the toll it had taken on me.As the shadows of the forest closed in around me, I found a moment of peace in the solitude, though the weight of what lay

Maria’s voice cut through the air, sharp and commanding, as she prepared to deliver the final blow. The crowd quieted, their anticipation palpable as they awaited our deaths. She was relishing this moment, savoring the victory she believed she had secured.I closed my eyes, drawing on the power I had been holding back, feeling it surge through me like a tidal wave. This was the moment. This was when I would show them all what it meant to cross me.“I’m sorry, Jo,” I whispered, my voice barely audible above the crowd. “I’m sorry for everything we lost, for the chances we never took. But I won’t let this be the end. Not for us. Not today.”He squeezed my hand, his grip strong despite the bonds. “Then let’s do this. And as the executioner raised his weapon, I unleashed everything, shattering the bonds that hel

The dim light of the cell flickered as I sat in the corner, my body battered and weak from the days of torment. Every breath was a struggle, each movement a reminder of the pain that coursed through me. But as I closed my eyes, I forced myself to push beyond the physical agony, to reach deeper into the well of power that lay dormant within me.My mind drifted to Zaza's words, the fierce determination in her voice as she urged me to find my strength, to believe in my abilities. Her faith in me had never wavered, even as Maria sought to break us both. And now, as the cold stone walls of the cell pressed in around me, I knew that I had to tap into that strength, to harness every ounce of power I possessed. With a slow, deliberate breath, I began to focus inward, drawing my consciousness away from the pain and fear that threatened to consume me. I reached for the gifts that had been passed down through my bloodline, the abilities that had always been there, waiting for me to master them.

The cell was dimly lit, the flickering torches casting shadows that danced on the cold stone walls. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and despair, a fitting atmosphere for the fate that awaited me. My body was weak, my spirit battered, but as the heavy iron door creaked open and Zaza stepped inside, a spark of hope flickered within me.She moved quietly, her eyes scanning the room before settling on me. Despite the dire circumstances, Zaza carried an aura of calm and determination that I had always admired. Her presence was a balm to my weary soul, and for a moment, I could almost forget the weight of the chains that bound me.She knelt beside me, her hands gentle as they touched my arm. “Ava,” she whispered, her voice a soft but urgent plea. “You must find strength, now more than ever.
