Hugo POV

"So let me get this straight." Jason started to vent, his tone hazy as if I had just told him that; up, was actually down. We had been on the way into the main town now for nearly forty minutes; the whole car ride over, Jason had been quiet until he asked me why we were going out to a club for a business deal. My answer apparently confused him somewhat!

"I thought he was meant to be smart!" Fury amused himself in the back of my mind.

"Go on!" I grinned over at Jason, ignoring my wolf's crafty remark as my hands gripped the steering wheel tighter, trying to keep the irritation from my voice, knowing it wasn't aimed at him but rather at my brother.

"So you kidnapped a vampire that belonged to this mega coven so that you could sell him back to the leader." He asked, his brows furrying.

"I played poker with him at V's..."

"Where we are going tonight!" Jason asked, cutting me off. Nodding to him, I continued.

"He lost a bet.. and wouldn't pay up.." I shrugged, looking i

Hugo POV "Hey, sweetheart, we are here to see your boss!" Jason announced, standing beside me, a smirk teasing the corner of my lips as my eyes caught V's spying the glimmer of amusement flashing in her purple hues I relaxed a little. I had heard the stories of her success; we all had. She had fought her way to the top of her coven and killed all those who opposed a woman's rule; she was brutal in her game and renowned for hating pretty much anyone who wasn't a vampire, humans though, she despised! "Violet!" I nodded with a small slither of respect, not wanting to start a war tonight; despite her hate for our kind, her club was a safe haven for all; it had a no-fighting policy and brutal consequences for those who broke it. The only reason Alec and I had walked away scot-free after our last visit was because we held her little pet captive. I had hopped in, handing him over tonight; she would grace Jason and I a free pass to drink, dance and fuck the night away. Violet came to stand

Aurora POV: Painstaking slowly, I tried to slide my arm out from under a sleeping Alec; I had been awake for nearly an hour, unable to sleep, as the pit in my stomach grew to an almost painful roar. "Maybe I am hungry?" I whispered to Ava, who scoffed; her response I knew would be sarcastic. "Well, you have just burnt a lot of calories! We should find Hugo; he is a great cook!" She mused with a sly smile; I knew that it wasn't Hugo's cooking skills my hussy of a wolf was after. "Yeah, because that would go down so well. Hey Hugo, I know I have spent all day in bed with your bro, but fancy cooking for me!" I groaned at her and tried to shift the dead weight of Alec's body without waking him. It seemed whenever his eyes were open, he expected my legs to be too. And frankly, I was too tired for that shit! Despite what Ava thinks. "We so need to talk about putting you on a diet!" I mumbled to Alec quietly when I finally got free of his sleeping body. My legs felt like jelly, every m

Aurora POV Spinning around quickly, my eyes darted around the dark room until they found a figure leaning up against the door frame in the darkness, his features slightly illuminated by the glow of the refrigerator. "Maxwell!" I offered as politely as I could muster through the racing of my heart. I turned and headed to the microwave to heat my dinner up, not wanting the bastard to see he had gotten to me. "Alpha Maxwell!" He corrected me, the irritation in his voice not lost on me. I itched to wind him up, but I could feel how Ava cowered nervously whenever we were in his presence. "Are you hungry, Alpha Maxwell?" I asked as I headed back to the fridge to pull out some other items. "You have no idea!" He answered suddenly, standing a little too close to me for comfort. Turning, my back pressing into the counter, I tried to hide the unease from my features, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of knowing he was pissing me off. Staring into his dark, dead eyes, I felt dread

Hugo POV Chewing the side of my thumbnail as I stared up at my reflection in the mirrored ceiling. I was hot in tight-fitted slacks and an expensive shirt that felt like spun silk and clung to my biceps and pecs, making me somehow look even more ripped than I was. How Aurora didn't want me- I had no idea! "I want these for my bedroom!" I grunted with a smirk at the thought of Alec's face seeing these mirrored panels installed in my room. "They are great for entertaining." Violet mused with humour as she drew out her sentence flirtatiously. "Have you heard much from the police? I did try to cover the nasty incident with the human male up like Alec asked, but there is only so much I can do when one of your own goes on national TV and insists that you not only killed the guy but also threatened to kidnap her." Violet laughed mildly. "The day before, she was indeed kidnapped." She added quickly; I could hear the fear entwined with every word and realised that her bravado from moments

Hugo POV"Upgrade?" Violet mocked as she sat astride me, "Yes, tonight you can have an upgrade. If you are good!" She grinned down at me; my eyes scanned over her and flicked to the ceiling where I could see our reflection, her tiny body mounting on my large form. Her fingers were tailing up my body in the hungry pursuit of whatever it was she craved."Your distraction tactic won't work on me, V... Tell me what I want to know, and if you are a good girl and tell me an interesting tale, I might just give you a reward." I grinned, Gripping her fingers and squeezing them tight as I bucked my hips, rubbing my hard cock against her core with a devious smirk playing on my lips. "I heard that Maxwell Day tried to stiff the demon on his deal, so the demon dropped his mate back at his door, pregnant and rather 'used up'." My mind spun with the information she was giving me; if it was true, it meant that Maxwell had lied to his pack about making a deal with a demon at the expense of every pac

Hugo POV"Out the way twilight!" I heard Jason growl from the other side of the door before a large bang echoed around the room. Violet's eyes darted to mine; her eyebrow arched at me with curiosity."Twilight?" She grinned at me with amusement. "Do I sparkle?" She asked, staring at me in the mirror. "Only when you cum!" I winked at her, admiring the look in her eyes as she looked at her bare chest in the mirror, which was still dripping with my cum. A part of me wanted to see her lick it off, but given the way Jason was bickering outside with V's staff, I had a feeling that was not a show I was going to be lucky enough to witness tonight."Hmmm... Maybe we should put your theory to the test again with you on top so I can see for myself in the mirrors!" She smirked, returning my playful wink with her own, my dick twitching in my pants.Just as I thought about making Jason wait outside the room while I took her up on her offer, the door opened, and a rather miffed-looking Jason stood

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 90: But...

Aurora POVSuddenly, the plates in my hand didn't feel weightless like they did seconds ago, but heavy like bags of rocks and cement, so much so that I felt their weight would pull me to the floor in a crumpled heap if I didn't let them go. I put them on Doc's tray before I let them shatter to the floor. My eyes swarmed with concern, realising after a minute of standing looking at a wordless Doc that he had no answer for me, or rather, he didn't wish to be the one to answer my question."Where is Hugo?" I asked again, watching as Doc placed the tray on the table beside us to turn and look at me with a sigh, something in his eyes telling me to brace myself for his answer. "Aurora dear," He started to say, his manner gentle, like he was nervous about my response. "Screw this!" I snarled, storming over to Finn, who slept lightly beside Lara. Pushing his feet off the bed to jolt him awake, I stood before him, arms crossed across my chest, hip popped out like the madam I knew I was being

Aurora POV Forcing myself to move, I looked over the sofa's edge to see Alec standing in the doorway in nothing but his sweatpants and bed hair. His handsome face crumpled in hurt; I could see those walls we had slowly knocked down today quickly going back up higher than before. Sighing, I held his gaze; our eyes danced momentarily in a lover's quarrel. I wanted to apologise, to say I didn't mean what I had said, to save him any hurt. But the truth was I did mean it, and in the long run, no one would benefit from my lying. "Alec..." I rasped, but he cut me off with a shake of his head, his dark hair falling over his eyes, but not before I caught how they had turned cold. He nodded over my head to Finn, pretending I didn't exist. "Lara is stable." He clarified before giving me his back to leave with a slam of the door behind him and taking all the air with him. Sucking my lips to stop me from crying, I slid back down against the soft grey sofa, my fingers running along the groves of

I soothed myself repeatedly, feeling his hands move up my calves and pull her knees up. I kept my eyes fixed on the ceiling and attempted to will myself out of my body. I was brought back to cold reality when I felt hot breath on my inner thigh followed by his hot tongue, licking. I hadn't realised that I had yelped until he told me to calm down. "C..c..can we just get this o..over with. Please," I stammered, my throat dry. Maxwell lifted his head up and looked at me over my body, his eyes alive with a fire I didn't feel comfortable with. "You don't want me to enter you dry, do you?" With that, he reached down between my parted thighs and cupped my mound. "Or are you already wet?" My mouth desperate for saliva, I simply shook my head in answer. "Then I need to make you a little wet, so I don't hurt either of us. I could spit on the e

Maxwell smirked, his lips thin and tight as he stared at me with an evilness that made me shiver unintentionally. Looking over at Violet, my stomach dropped, seeing the sick smile plastered on her lips. "You're enjoying this!" I growled, and her lips pulled into an even wider smile. "Seeing the bitch that caused absolute chaos get her comeuppance? Absolutely!" She snarled nastily. Looking back at Maxwell, I shook my head of the tears I felt falling from my eyes, hoping to play on his emotions. "I want a blowjob and a fuck!" He declared unashamedly. There it was- His terms! I knew he would have wanted something like this, but hearing him say it made everything feel much more serious and real! As if sitting on a bed surrounded by my own vomit and self-hatred as one of the men I loved hung from chains on the TV with his back ri

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 115: You Can't Be Serious?

Aurora POVStretching out across the softest of beds, my body ached almost as severely as my head throbbed. Opening my eyes slowly, I allowed them to adjust to the bright lights of the sterile room. I was alone, and judging by the goose pimples that had broken out along my stomach, I was naked. "Ava?" I called out to my wolf, feeling alone inside my own head."Ava?" I asked again as I lay back on the plush mattress. I sighed as I realised whatever was making me groggy, was also affecting my wolf.Closing my eyes as I rubbed at my temples and tried to recall where I was or how I had gotten here, but I came up blank, except for the image of my reflection and chains. Something that seemed oddly familiar yet foreign to me. "A baby changes everything!" I heard a female voice snap from somewhere close by. Moving my legs slowly, not wanting to make any noise, I pushed off the bed. Regretting it the second my legs touched the floor, they felt hollow and utterly useless. Gripping the nearby

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 114: Or Die Trying!

Alec POVWe continued the next few hours in silence until we reached large gates that made ours look like child's play. I watched Jason's eyes gloss over as he communicated with his pack, and the doors opened. "Very fancy!" James scoffed as we followed the winding trail up to a large gothic-inspired castle that wrapped around acres of land. He wasn't wrong, this place was fancy! Which made no sense; why would Maxwell go after my pack when he had something so grand at home? Parking outside the entrance, I took a deep breath and hoped we would leave here with the answers we all needed. "Mother!" Jason beamed as a middle-aged woman stepped from the doors, her arms wide as they enveloped him. Her tanned skin and dark hair flowed freely in the light wind as her gigantic son swallowed her tiny frame in a bear hug. A smile split my face, seeing him scoop her up and spin her around, hugging her tightly, not caring that we all stood around watching. "Mother, meet Alpha Azure.." I offer a cu

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 113: Two Weeks Fuckers!

Alec POV"How can it have been ten days, and we are still no closer to finding my brother and wife!" I roared, slamming my fist into a nearby wall, the plasterboard shattering under the force, causing rubble to slide down the wall and coat my hands. "Ex-wife!" James corrected me. The fucker was truly starting to get on my nerves, but I ignored him, reminding myself that he was my oldest friend and instead looked at the destruction I had caused with a sigh. It wasn't the first hole I had made in the walls of my office over the last few days, and I doubt it would be the last. Frustration ate at me with each passing day, knowing that Aurora and Hugo were slipping further and further from me. Luke had given us a name: Maxwell! It didn't take much to get information from the pair once Jason heard his father's name slip from our prisoner's mouth. I had thought James was brutal when it came to torture, but it seemed I had underestimated Jason entirely. We now knew Maxwell headed the traf

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 112: I Remember Everything!

Hugo POV--Ten days later--"How much wolfsbane did you give him?" I heard Violet's panicked voice bounce around the bare walls of my prison cell. I fought the urge to smile. I had purposely remained still all day and worked to slow my breathing right down. Even when the bastard took that whip to my back again to wake me, I refused to make a sound; I just let my body rock back and forth from the impact. It wasn't easy, when all I wanted to do was rip their inners out through their nostrils. But there was more at stake than revenge! I daren't risk a glance at the blacked glass panel, knowing whatever I saw through that window may push me over the edge and ruin my plan. Over the last ten days I had watched them pull enough fingernails and toenails off Aurora to destroy that particular method of torture for me. The joy he took in stripping her naked to humiliate her and aggravate me in any other circumstances would have led to me removing his dead, dull eyes; lucky for him, the chains k

Alec POV "You look like shit!" I snorted, looking into the filthy cell that held the objects of my anger at this point in time."They don't smell much better!" James gagged mockingly, making me chuckle."Let's change that!" I smirked. Opening their cell, I walked in with James close by, both of us stepping over the shit and discarded clothes. Usually, I avoided such filth. My suits cost more than most people earn in a year, and until Aurora arrived, my appearance was the only thing that gave me joy. "Do you remember that time your father kept those guys down here so long he forgot about them?" James asked, unlocking the chains behind the pair, the heavy metal clinking as it hit the floor, the sound making our human guest in front of James jump. Like the pussy he was!"The whole packhouse stunk of rotten eggs, but we couldn't work out why until we came down here to do something and found them in a cell." He laughed, gripping the human male by his hair; he pulled him from the cell wit

Alec POVStaring at the pyres as the flames consumed our dead and carried them off, I felt my jaw ache from how tightly I had it clenched. My mind was swirling with the events of the last few hours. It felt surreal that I was currently saying goodbye to a handful of my pack members after a demonic attack on my pack. I had heard of these kinds of things happening occasionally throughout history, but never would I have thought that we would be on the receiving end of it. "Here, man." A deeply set voice offered from beside me, placing a cell phone in my hand. "It's all set up, the same number as before, just in case your brother reaches out." James remarked, handing me an opened bottle of beer with a nod."I don't want this!" "I never said you did, but fuck knows you need it. You are giving off mega approach me and die vibes!" He scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest as he watched the flames rise dramatically, crackling through the air. "You approached!" I shrugged, ignoring his c

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 109: She Is Alive!

Hugo POVI had never been squeamish when it came to blood, but I guess when you spend a large part of your life shifting into a werewolf or torturing those who displease you, it made no sense to be scared of the stuff. I couldn't exactly be the Beta if I passed out every time I got a damn paper cut. But something about the way I was watching blood slide down Aurora's porcelain throat as she paled had me feeling weak-kneed and sick to my stomach. Her words would haunt me for as long as I lived, and I hoped that wouldn't be long because the idea of a world without her in it again was too unfathomable to bear. Plus, having to tell Alec I had let her get killed broke my heart just as much as watching her face slowly pale. Those rosy cheeks turned purple as her eyes closed; I could only imagine the way her heart pumped viciously, trying to get blood around her body for this fucker to drain it. Her arms seemed to relax into the chains, and her body slumped forward; he was killing her; that
